What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday

WOYWW 215 click here to Join in ....you'll meet Julia and some lovely Deskers and you'll be amazed at the amount of craft work going on around the world...plucked that straight from Julia's post!!
Well it's Wednesday and I nearly forgot because I'm a wee bit excited as just this morning I've decided to pack my case and go visit our two kids in Townsville while hubby is away in Melbourne at a work conference -so I'm going to drive up immediately I drop him at the airport at 7am tomorrow.  It's special because our daughter is 6 months pregnant with our first grandchild and I'm missing being around while she and Andrew set up the nursery and buy all those cute baby bits.
First photo is looking in the door to my craft room ....mess all over, drawers with my pre-stamped bits and bags of ribbon on the floor and my two tower drawer sets near the window hold my stash of coloured card - bits in the left and full pages on the right - you can't see half of it :-)
On my desk I've just finished posting a card and three are part underway. On the very left a large envelope containing the tote bags and notelets I have ready for hubby to take down to my mum for her trading tables (explanation - trading tables assist with fund raising and members bring articles to donate to the table for others to purchase; some hospitals have patient assist groups who also have a tables of items for sale. And at the very edge a sample of pink paper and a teddy bear to go with me, as Jacalyn and I discuss ideas for her baby shower...exciting!!
Last week I was stating that I needed to get our tax stuff sorted - well I did and forntwo days papers spread over the lounge floor are now neat stacks but still need to find a few missing documents and await some that will arrive in the post...it's a start!!
Now to check out a few other desks while I enjoy lunch...thanks for taking a peek here

  4. Have an enjoyable time with your daughter. I bet it will be fun.

I'm afraid I would step on those boxes on the floor, because I'm not one to put anything in my path. Call me klutz. Happy WOYWW from #2.

  5. How awesome you are having your first grand baby. My only granddaughter, Kaya Rose, was 3 in Feb. It goes by sooo fast. Being a gramma is the best. Should you pop by my desk for a visit, there is pics of her in a WOYWW post a few weeks ago. Enjoy your visit. BTW, I LOVE your craft room. Looks like lots of fun toys. (((HUGS)))

  7. Congrats on your first grandchild being expected soon. What a wonderful time for your family and no doubt escaping to the warmer winter weather of Townsville will be a treat too! In seeing your post today I am also pleased to know that I am not the only one who's craft desk continues to the floor.

Your first photo really made me laugh, because that's exactly what I do when I work. The floor around me gets scattered with all sorts of bits and pieces and boxes and wot not...
Happy WOYWW and I wish you a lovely week.

I am younger than my DH, who started early, and his son started early and so on...so at 58 he was a great-grandfather. We were able to enjoy the grandkids while they were small and were young enough to do a lot of babysitting! Can't wait to hear about your lovely new little one!
