Happy Birthday

My card this afternoon is my first attempt at CASEing someone elses work. The team at Stamplorations are CASEing Lolls card (below) for the March CASEplorations challenge.
I made the red panel with a stencil and my mixing colour and gold into my texture paste. Then I stamped the gorgeous flower in pearl gold embossing and water coloured with distress ink. I finished the card with a few loops of gold cord, a few gems and a birthday sentiment.  I'm really happy with my first try at CASEing. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

  3. Robyn, this card is simply stunning - I love the background, the colour scheme, and those fabby flowers. It has a definte oriental feel about it. The addition of the little curl of gold thread is an inspiration - definitely something to go in my arsenal of ideas!

I had to follow your link and further, to find out what this CASEing is all about! A great idea. Perfectly permissible as it's not "copying" per se, and fascinating to see which particular elements of a design inspire different people to create their own project. I love the idea of looking at something, then looking away, and remembering the element(s) that struck one most forcibly. Definitely something to try.

    Thanks for sharing. Quite beautiful!
