What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday??

worldwide woywwWeek 324 at Julia's blog - want to join in for some desk snooping then pop over there to read how you can join in.  And firstly I would like to thank everyone who visited last week and apologize for my lack of comments - this week I feel like I'm on top of everything so will be around to visit as many WOYWWers as possible.
This is part of my craft room and if you're a regular you'll know that I am packing for the big move next Wednesday and this is looking very empty - most of the sorting and discarding has happened and only a few things remain  so that I can continue to  make my cards - nearly forgot it's Fathers' Day soon here in Australia and best not forget to make hubby's dad a card.

So you can see a vintage car stamped ready for my mojo to kick and for me come up with an amazing creation (lol, we'll see)  On my work pad I am finishing off a butterfly card and to the side I have two Christmas cards in progress. Along the back is my cuttlebug, Ott-Lite, my Distress Inks and two containers of different inks ready to be packing into crates and into my car for the trip to their new home.  I have set aside stamps, cardstock and inks to take with me so this addiction can continue on the dining table
Hope you're all enjoying some lovely weather and time at your desk, Cheers and thanks for popping in.
ps    This is our 14th move in 39 years so I am totally used to packing up and for the last 3 there has only been hubby and me and this time I am not working so I have been very slowly packing box and room at a time....the most time consuming room to pack is the "Craft Room" - just hope it fit into the new space.

  1. Hi Robyn I hope the move goes well next week! We have moved around a bit too in our married life and it always excites me despite all the hard work.Next move tho I will have my craft room to pack up which will be quite frankly frightening/overwhelming! I won't know where to start. Hubby retires in 4 years which is when we have said we may move for the last time…. I'd better start sorting out now! Good luck with everything!

  2. Oh Robyn. I feel tired just thinking about your move.I guess you have it down to a fine art, but all the same...I guess you don't get too attached to homes. We left one house after 17 years and it was a real wrench. We had pout so much into that house- never again. We just have done what needed to be done to keep it nice with this houyse.I am too busy playing in my sewing room to want to spend loads of time decorating etc.

  3. Hi Robyn. It's so good to see your packing up is going well and that you are still able to keep a few bits to hand to craft while it's all going on. I really hope your move goes to plan with no last minute hitches.

  4. I don't envy you this move, Robyn, because I would hate to have to pack up and move right now. I hope it goes well, but you seem to have things under control. We can't do without our OTT lights, can we? I think every crafter has at least one. Please don't talk about Christmas when autumn in the northern hemisphere is still nearly a month away! I know. I'm a procrastinator. Happy WOYWW from #2.

I love the butterfly card underneath with the tag..well done..
I was interested to read how many times you have moved as it doesn't seem that long since the last move!
I can see would ask you for tips when next move.. hopefully not for ages for either of us!

I hope too your new crafty space has great outlook with tons of room.. or maybe should say the right amount of space!

    Thanks so much for sharing.

  7. Well done for being so organised for your move. Is it going to be the last one?
The card with the butterfly looks lovely and I'm sure you'll make something stunning for your father-in-law with the vintage car.
Hope all goes well next week (I'm sure it will),
    Thank you for visiting already,
    Have a great week,

  9. Good luck on your move! My next move will be to the cemetary...no more moving for this old woman. I can't even imagine having to pack my craft room. I don't think there are enough boxes around to handle it! Glenda #37

  10. You seem incredibly organised and having moved 14 times I should think you are a professional at it by now! Glad to see you've got your card making stuff to hand at all times - I like the image of the vintage car, what a lovely stamp that is. Hope it all goes well for you, have a good week,

  11. Hi Robyn- I am truly in awe of how often you've moved. I think I'd end up sat in a corner crying, if I had to start packing to move! Just the thought makes me shudder. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #5 xxx

  12. Good luck with the move Robyn, I've moved a lot myself and I'm sure you know already that it will feel like Christmas when you unpack your craft stuff.

  13. Well, I think the first thing I need to say is Good Luck for next Wednesday! I do not envy you one bit but guess that by now you are sick and tired of putting stuff in boxes so the worse bit is over. Or is it? Unpacking may be just as bad and then you will have the boxes and paper to gt rid of. Oh heck!
Hope you get the father's day card finished and not lost in the packing.
    Good luck net week.

  15. that is so cool that you still have things you can find and use now that it is getting down to the wire with the move. ( we have moved twice in 28 years) so, I can not really imagine the sheer work involved. ( I am hoping I never do it again actually we have way too much stuff now. :) ~Stacy #53

  17. Good luck for next week - it would drive me mad that many times. Hubby was in servioces when we first got married and we moved four times before he left ( that was enough!) . Have a good week . Soojay 23

  18. I am full of admiration, Robyn, that you are actually able to create anything at all, only a week before your move! I didn't do anything for literally months as I had to spend so long packing everything up, and then getting it all unpacked and sorted after the move! Moving is so busy and stressful. I hope we stay put for many years!! I hope your move all goes smoothly and that you are very happy in your new home, and that you have the best creative space ever!!! (Well, it couldn't possibly be nicer than mine lol!!)

Thank you for your encouragement, and I am hanging in there and going with the flow. I am feeling really wiped out again today but that's only to be expected at this stage of the cycle. Only 3 more to go and then I know all will be fine! I think it's amazing the bond that Shaz and I have developed through our mutual support as we share this cancer journey together. I had such fun making the goodies for her, and together we will get through it! So glad you enjoyed what I made for her.

    Happy WOYWW,

  21. Hi Robyn, not long now before the move. Anne's right I have visions of them just lifting you and the desk straight onto the van while you continue to craft. Sounds like the perfect way to move to me! Many thanks for the visit to mine. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 23

  23. Hi Robyn, you look incredibly organised for someone about to move house :) But I guess you've done it so many times it must be a bit easier. The very thought makes me light headed :)
I'll email you soon (probably tomorrow) about the "stamp challenge".

  24. HI Robyn, How stressful to move so often, we have done it 6 times in 46 years and that was stressful enough, but you look so organised about it. But why all the moves?
Thanks for dropping by my place yesterday.

  25. Good Luck Robyn, I hope it all goes well for you next week. I suspect that I have one more move to make at some point and I'm not looking forward to it when I do!! But you're an old hand, so it'll all go smoothly :-)
Sorry this reply is so late, I've had visitors for three days!
