Happy Birthday

Been a busy week, so it's nice to get uninterrupted time at my desk to finish off some cards and post them... this is my last for the day - it takes more time than your think to just photograph, edit and then post them.
I started with the bowl on this card.... which is actually the cut out of the lolly jar card I made recently.. thought to see if I could get an ombre effect with watercolour pencils...not too bad (pic is not so good).  Then I sought out and die cut the flowers in similar shades to the pencils used and leaves and arranged them in the bowl with a touch of glitter glue, and finished off with a stamped sentiment strip.
I am playing along with CAS Mix Up June challenge - Ombre and with AAA Cards - who are celebrating their 5th Birthday - congrats ladies.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy card making.

Birthday Wishes

Enjoying a very lazy day today... that means I've not done any housework, instead I've been pottering at my desk. I have a birthday card made for two challenges.... first for the 5th Birthday celebrations at AAA Cards - congrats ladies, great inspiration from the DT    and   secondly at Stamplorations CAS Card challenge - Anything Goes with the Optional Colour Twist - Lilac.
I stamped my sweet peas on a die cut stitched rectangle and used both Distress Inks and Oxides to watercolour it.  Then stamped and gold embossed my sentiment.  I thought to add a  little shimmer so sponged Versamark over the Stamplorations Lupinus stencil and brushed over with Interference Gold Perfect Pearls.  I chose to add a purple layer to frame the panel onto a white card.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping.

To a Wonderful Friend

I do enjoy some relaxing time colouring images, and this one I did yesterday afternoon when all was quiet.  I stamped the poppies in Dried Marigold DO ink and left the stamp and stamped panel in place in my Misti.  Next I watercoloured the poppies with DO and when dry inked up the leaves on the stamp with green marker and stamped over the image - gives a great outline... then I did the same for the flowers but used DO and it looked great to start but as it dried, it lost the defined outline, so next time I'll use DInk... unfortunately I took it out of the Misti before it dried.  Then I trimmed the panel and layered it with green card and stamped the sentiment and die cut it with a label die and sponged the edges.  Finished off using a bright orange card and attaching the elements.  I am playing along with AAA Cards challenge #136 - One Image and the option Spring.  Also playing along at Watercooler Wednesday WWC214 - Marsha's "All About Occasions" challenge ... I think this sentiment could be used for a number of different occasions...birthday, get well, thanks.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping

Time Out challenge celebrating their 5 years with challenge #131 - Hugs, Kisses and a Lot of Birthday Wishes.... I focused on Hugs.
I sponged pink Distress Oxide through my stencil onto a die cut tag, used my small lettering set to stamp my sentiment and die cut the 'hugs' from silver glitter cardstock. To finish I matted the tag to a pink background, added twine and a gem.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it.... happy card making.

Happy Birthday

Far too hot to be gardening today so I've been finishing off a few cards...
I cut down a large floral die cut and then collected the flower pieces and smooched them in Distress Inks and then replaced them.  I used the Loll's Splash Watercolour technique (here) to create my background, then gold embossed my sentiment before attaching my die cut flower to the corner.

I am playing along with challenges at AAA Cards CAS challenge #134 - One Corner, Back to Basics and Beyond challenge #21 - Paper Piecing, Stamplorations CAS Card challenge - using Optional Twist - Cerulean Blue and lastly Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies February challenge. Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it -- happy card making.

Hello

Tomorrow I'm off for a few days R&R with hubby in the caravan so I'm happy to have finished off this card for the AAA Cards CAS Game #123 - a sketch.  I inked my sunflower stamp with Distress Inks and embossed it with clear EP. ... I added a little extra colour to the center and some shadows.  Next I cut a large circle with a stitched die in tan card - so my white space in tan brown and cut that down to fit my sunny yellow card.  To finish I stamped and die cut my sentiment and attached with foam tape. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Thinking of You

A card using a Stencil for the AAA Cards #122 CAS Game.... I used a stencil and three shades of Distress Oxide ink sponged onto my panel, to display my die cut floral.  I sponged colour on the die cut before attaching to my card and added a few spots of glitter glue for stamen.  To finish I stamped on my sentiment and used a green card base.  I am also playing along with Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes with Dies challenge.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

With Love

My stamped heart image is from my very old stash and the card turned out to be ok to watercolour (a relief) - I used a combination of Distress Inks and Oxides to colour it, then I fussy cut it out.  I stamped my sentiment in pink and clear embossed it and cut the ends like a label.  I found this pink stripe embossed card in my 'old' stash too and decided to go with it instead of white card and to add interest die cut a frame using two nesting dies.  I am playing along at Muse challenge #272 casing Steffi's card (below)  - elements : a heart, pink, die cut edge, stripes, sentiment within the heart.  And also joining in at AAA Cards CAS Game #118 - Use a frame.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.
