Best Wishes

Here I am with my second card today.....  for The Card Concept #9 challenge...inspirational photo Golden Table.  I love the colours in the photo and the gold... so I did some masking and stamped my image along the bottom of my card and used Distress Oxides to watercolour them.  Then I mixed some of my gold powders together with water to achieve a glitter gold wash background to the flowers...had trouble photographing this card.  I added a bit more gold with a frame and die cut sentiment and arranged these on a cream card.  I think my style is Classy and Elegant.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

I just love Fuchsias and living in the sub tropics one doesn't see them very often but I would love to see them in my garden....mmm, one day maybe.  Anyway these blooms are a result of my trying out the use of Distress Oxide ink direct onto the shadow stamp... and were supposed to me just my try outs... I liked the look of them so 'touched them up' with a little watercolouring. .. roughly cut around the two sprigs and then simply arranged them on a stitched die cut background and added a stamped sentiment displayed on a a matching pink tag.  I am posting my floral card to Stamplorations March challenge - choosing Spring as my theme and also to Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Floral Frenzy.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

A quick card from me this afternoon, using some 'experiments' from my stash.  The background was created with Distress Oxides and the stamped image water coloured with Distress Inks.  My stamped sentiment completes my card using the layout this week at Freshly Mades Sketches #326.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

I did enjoy making my mini card the other day so I've made a few more...
Using some nice DP that I unearthed from my "old" stash of 12x12s, I teamed it with my PP Rose, stamped in black Versafine and painted with Distress Inks. I added a matching knotted ribbon and to finish stamped on my sentiment.  My mini card is 4.5" square (9x9 cm).  I'm really liking the old world feel the DP gives it.  I am posting to Power Poppy's Power & Spark October challenge - mini & mighty.  Thanks for taking a peek

So here is my pencil colouring on black card... assembled card.  It was quite tricky to put together a colour scheme to display all the black of the image panel... so I went with bright colours that highlighted the colours of the flowers. Colouring on the embossed gold with all the fine line detail wasn't as easy as just an open outline image.  To finish I stamped and gold embossed my sentiment.
I am posting my finished card to The Daily Marker 30 day Coloring challenge, also Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes and finally to Stamplorations Theme and Sketch challenge - which is on Summer Vacation but the team would still like to see 'what we have been up to' - I am impressed with pencils on black so will be trying this out again.  Thanks for taking a peek

Being me, I always like to tackle to optional themes on challenges, so this week at House Mouse and Friends challenge #HMFMC250 the theme is School Days.... well no stamps in my stash directly related to this theme, but I found this cute one of Muzzy signing a card... would be just fine.  I stamped the background alphabets with a set by leaving them all in place on the plastic sheet and inking it in a few ink shades. Stamped, coloured and fine cut out my image and hand wrote in the message... So I could use the card I stamped a sentiment (best wishes) and layered it on a label tag and used paper clips to hold it in place.  After I layered the background on two shades of card I smooched the edges and decided to used a band across the card on which the mouse image could sit. I am also going to post to Addicted to Stamps challenge #153 - Stamp a Background and to  The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring challenge. Thanks for taking a peek

More fun yesterday at Vikki's place, playing with 'Salt'... so I have used card with a shiny surface this panel not absorbent card stock and it worked beautifully - I experimented by added the salt crystals to the white card, then the Brushos powder and then added more salt before I hit it with a medium amount of water - result the larger pieces did hold back the wet ink so you get some really light spots too - I used Violet and Turquoise. To help the panel pop from the blue panel I layered it on white card and then decided to make a male card and added a stamped, watercoloured and fussy cut golfer, standing on my stamped sentiment tag.
I am posting to CAS Watercolour August challenge - Salt, Watercooler Wednesday challenge WWC132 - Masculine Anything Goes, and to Addicted to Stamps and More #255 challenge - beautifully photo inspiration... just love these shades of purple/blues.  Thanks for taking a peek

PS... I did wonder if the coloured salt could be reused... so I made this panel (left) on a smooth finished card with Brushos and when it was dry, collected the coloured salt and scattered it onto an absorbent piece of card and wet it well... it works (I sponged the yellow on the edges, the center yellow is from the green salt) - result another 2 pieces to add to my base panel stash.

Wishing You All the Happiness....

I made this tissue paper panel earlier in the month for the CAS Mix Up July challenge.. scrunched some white tissue and laid into onto a glued square of white card - then I spritzed it with some pink spray - as it dried it collected in the creases as a darker pink - the panel also has a sparkly finish which I couldn't capture with the camera angle.  I stamped and embossed my image, and then coloured it with Distress Inks, plus a couple extra flowers for my sentiment tag. Assembled my card with a pink layer to help highlight the flowers and tissue creases.  I also used the colour inspiration at Power Poppy - Hues to Use - Pink, Yellow and Green and also posting to The Flower challenge #10 - Heat Embossing.  Thanks for taking a peek

With Best Wishes

My second card on this lovely rainy afternoon is a floral...  I had a fun time colouring in my stamped image using Brushos and to get a softer colour, I mixed in White powder. Then I simple fussy cut the outline and layered onto a blue panel with 3D tape and onto my pale blue card....then finished off with a stamped sentiment.  This month at The Flower Challenge #6 the theme is Anything Goes, and at Stamplorations I am using the theme - Stamps and Spring.  Double 'D' challenge have a 'Spring' theme and I'm casing Anita's card at Muse challenge #206... being inspired by her pink daisies.  I am also enjoying participating in Kathy's 30 Day Colouring Challenge.  Thanks for taking a peek

My card for the February Card Chain challenge went all the way to ValeryAnne in England.  I tried to stick to both the colour palette and the layout sketch for my card. I have just started using my stash of Designer Papers again... there's so much of it and also those little paper flowers - I have jars of them too. I layered a few different colours and added micro beads to the centers. I added some thin ribbon under the flowers and mounted them onto two layers of card.  Finished off my square card with a stamped sentiment.  I enjoy making cards so it's nice to share them around the globe, if you'd like to sign up for the March swap pop over here!!  Thanks for taking a peek

Love and Best Wishes

Last week I thoroughly enjoyed colouring my stamped lily image with pencil that I decided to do another in different colours.  I really like the crisp bright colours with lots white from the inspirational photo at The Card Concept 65 - Fresh and Bold , so I chose the bright pink to colour my flowers. To finish I just layered the panel onto a white card and added a stamped sentiment.  I am also playing along with The Paper Players PP328 - Clean and Simple: Flowers, and Addicted to Stamps and More #226 with their Anything Goes challenge.
