What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday??

worldwide woyww Hi and welcome to my desk this morning whre I am sharing it in all it's creative activity for Week 318 at What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday... an initiative started by our lovely hostess Julia, 6 years ago....want to find out more about this phenomena pop over to her blog, and maybe you'll find out you'd like to join in, it's fun, inspiring and addictive.
Anyway here's what is happening today....
This is how I photograph my cards... nothing flash, just get my Ott-Lite positioned and a coordinating background colour sheet and I'm in business. My white work pad comes in handy for this job, held up with a box of bits and pieces. My mid morning coffee mug there on the left next to a Christmas stamp waiting to be used. Behind that my ever growing stash of things I try out, cut out and don't use or embellishments - that all need to be put away. Far right my gems/pearls folder (see below) I store them in ATC pockets, easy to see and find quickly.  That's it for today, off to make an afternoon cuppa and do some desk peeping...thanks to those who visited last week and hope you all enjoy some crafting time this week
Cheers    ps.  a few people are commenting about my toothbrush which I didn't even see I'd photographed...it's for flicking ink on my cards...bit hit and miss really, I need practice.

Happy Birthday

Oh doesn't that cupcake look too gorgeous to eat...love the folded flower and tiny pearls to finish it - so thank you Scrapbook Boutique for the June inspiration photo. I was definitely inspired to make a card.......I love these lovely fabric flowers you can buy now and so I designed my card around it and now I have my tiny flower punch unpacked I guess I'll be using them again too.
Thanks for taking a peek

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C110

Happy weekend everyone...
I was inspired by Barbara Anders lovely autumn leaves card at C4C 110 challenge  to make this one layer card.  http://crazy4challenges.blogspot.com/2011/10/crazy-4-challenges-c4c110.html  I tried scoring some grid lines on my card but ended with them inverted so will remember next time which side to score them on. Thanks for taking a peek

Our Creative Corner - inspiration from another country card 2

So here's another card - felt a bit silly not having read the outline properly so quickly thought what else I could do. We have lived in Papua New Guinea on two occasions and their flag is very bright and colourful and brings back some fantastic memories. Thanks for taking a peek.

Less is More challenge 1000 (card 3)

I'm on a roll with my twinkling H2O's - just swirled a yellow and orange oval and stamped and embossed my ornament over it. I like this cheery bright card and think I'll try a few other colours and maybe add some bling. Thanks for taking a peek.

Colour throw down #151

The colour throw down challenge was to use rainbow colours for you inspiration.  I created the rainbow using my Twinkling H2Os - I love the iridescent effect and the way the colours ran together. I'm always snapping photos of sunrises, sunsets and rainbows - every one of them is different and gone so quickly.

Mojo 197, RobVik # 8

So much for my walk this morning, came to my desk early this morning and there was my card in pieces just waiting for me to put it all together....so here it is. I like this weeks Mojo - simple layout. And this also incorporates the card Vikki gave me for our #8 RobVik challenge. It's the reverse side of my previous card (Sunday 19th) and so presents a totally different feel. I've added brown as my coordinating ribbon had browns spots and I'm pretty happy with the finished card. But stay tuned as I still have piece of that patterned card left :-) ........thanks for taking a look.

RobVik #2

For this challenge we had to use four colours; navy, blue, orange and sand - similar to colours my local Stampin Up friend had used.  I'm quite pleased with the result with my aim recently to include lots more stamping and embellishments I have in my stash...this one I used eyelets and micro beads.

Three button challenge

Today I thought I'd try my hand at a new challenge....this one is set by Scrapbook Boutique September Colour Challenge and you had to incorporate at least three buttons on your design....so here's mine after some deliberating about trying to use new colours and ones that would suit the buttons I had on hand.
