Merry Christmas Bells

Finding Bells in my stash is tricky but I did remember this Noel die I had and decided to use only the bells... I die cut it on white card and trimmed it before using  an embossing pen to just ink the bells and then gold embossed them and then used Twinkling H2Os to watercolour the holly and berries. Then I traced around the bells on a piece of satin gold metallic card and this as backing for the bells and added Crystal Drops to the berries and bell knockers.  I die cut the sentiment in real shiny gold metallic card and attached all these to a white card front where I used a stylus to emboss a frame.

I am playing along with CAS Christmas June Challenge - Bells   ....  AND .. Watercooler Wednesday WWC275 - Karen's All About Occasions challenge

Birthday Wishes

A kind gift of some beautifully layer stamped roses from a CCC friend, Linda - were the inspiration for this card today.  I found in my stash this pink smooched background on leather-grain card that matched perfectly with the die cut roses.  I added a trim of lace - die cut a scalloped eyelet on a white card strip and reversed the die and cut again so both edges were scalloped.  Stamped the sentiment in Distress Oxide - Picked Raspberry and clear embossed it, then die cut.  I attached all the elements with foam tape and added a few white Nuvo Crystal Drops.

there has been some changes to the format
with CAS Stencil and CAS Watercolour now part of the one month challenge....
pop over and check it out.

I started out playing with some old Drawing Ink on photographic paper...  dropped ink on the paper and spritzed with water... it's beautifully bright and with the vellum over the top nice and soft... so I stamped and gold embossed the birthday sentiment on the vellum and die cut a frame in white card then used foam sheet to attach to a white card.

I am playing along with CAS Mix Up June challenge - Embossed Vellum - my elements are vellum, stamping, heat embossing, die cutting, Ink   ----    and  ----  AAA Birthday game #14 - Use Vellum

Flower, Foliage, Fussy cutting....... Just Add Ink, would love to see some "F" elements on our cards this week..

Firstly from my stamped images stash... a 'Friends' flower  and leaves (don't know the brand) which I watercoloured with Distress Inks and then 'fussy' cut out.   On a strip of card I blended yellow Distress Inks from light to dark to place behind this die cut circles border on my card front panel. I die cut the sentiment twice - in orange card and cream glitter card and then attached all the elements to my cream card...I added some glitter glue to the flower to match in with the sentiment.

Hello

Celebrating 3000 wonderful cards shared across the world with

And to mark this amazing occasion Gail and Jo have arranged a BLOG HOP, with games and prizes throughout the month.... for details pop over to the CCC blog, check out the cards exchanged for May

This is the card I made and sent to Cat in the USA for the May challenge... I roughly used the sketch and the colours for my card.
I decided to make a floating frame card and to use the cutout section for Cat's card.
I stamped, coloured and die cut the flowers and leaves multiple times and then arranged them on the card front panel and keeping them in place with washi tape, die cut the centre rectangle.  Then carefully removing the tape and replacing the flowers mounted with foam tape.  I used gold Washi tape to create a border on a larger rectangle and attached the floating piece with foam sheet.  Then to finish stamped and gold embossed the sentiment and added gold Washi tape strips to top and bottom of card front.

This is the frame card I made with the outer section.

This is the lovely card Linda sent me... it's gorgeous

I hope you have time to leave a comment and maybe visit the CCC blog to join in the celebrations.

Merry Christmas wreath

Thanks for popping in and hopefully you're well and keeping busy with some card making or craft....  I'm seeing a lot more finding time to try something new or pick up an interest from ages ago.

I have another Christmas card to add to my stash today... a quick and easy one.
Stamped and silver embossed my wreath image and watercoloured it with Twinkling H2Os, then added a touch of Crystal Drops.  Die cut the panel and used a bright matching PP for the background.  To finish I added a die cut sentiment.

Stencilled butterfly

Hello and hope you're enjoying a spot of nice weather...
here we've had to dig out the warm clothes as the temp drops to the low teens (low 50sF) -
that's quite cold for us and we've shut the windows too and we don't heating to warm up the house..
so that's nice weather to do some crocheting..
here are my two latest squares for the Moogly event.

Now here is my card for the CAS Stencil challenge this month - Layered Stencilling

Not sure this makes a CAS card.. but I did have fun layering  a couple of stencils..
The big butterfly stencil was first attached to white card and blended over with Hickory smoke Distress Oxide.. then I searched out a flourish stencil to add some swirls to the wings. I positioned this stencil under the butterfly one so I wouldn't get ink outside the image... I used red and green inks and flipped the stencil to do the second wing and the colours have really softened since.

It was a bit tricky then to make a card with this large image, so I just framed it with lime green card and a slash of red to pull it all together.

Thanks for stopping by my blog  ---  have a Happy Day and stay safe.
