Smile.....a beautiful day

Another quick card from me this afternoon - a long one to fit a business envelope, using the Dynamic Duos #85 - Summer Starfruit and Garden Green    :-(     no stamping on this card as I just wanted to use this sentiment strip from a paper pack I have and the colour suited well. I've done some rearranging of my workspace and put all my flowers into jars on my desk also jars of ribbons so I can see them and use them. I think we're off for a late afternoon swim at the beach now to cool off. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Green floral birthday

Happily I have a late afternoon card to post and after first seeing the colours at Dynamic Duos DD#63 I was thinking this had to be a male card but the DT girls made some lovely cards for inspiration so I went with a floral. I used the sketch for Annabelle Stamps ac168 and even mades some flowers from those very old paper ones from Kaisercraft and quite happy with them so I'll be making some more with the stash of different colours I have.  Thanks for taking a peek and hope you've had a great weekend.
PS the colours in the photo are a wee bit darker than my card

Shopping Our Stash 107: Use Your Oldest Embellishment

One of my upcoming birthdays is for my Father-in-law who will be 89 so this morning I've made this male birthday card with him in mind.  I've used the layout at CAS(E) this sketch CTS#34 and the colours for Dynamic Duos DD#59 - Gray and my colour of choice is Blue/Green of the Paua Shell  and Shopping Our Stash 107 are wanting us to dig into our drawers for that embellishment you've had for years --- I've selected just a small piece of New Zealand Paua Shell that a stamping friend shared with our group many years ago (I still have a little bag of lovely shiny bits of the shell).

30th Birthday

Just made a 30th Birthday card for our son-in-laws birthday next week - I am totally inspired by Silke Ledlow and she has just posted a card I've used for my inspiration ...check it out here. And over at Dynamic Duos they are celebrating their One Year Anniversary DD#52 where you get to select any past colour combo - so I've chosen DD#14 Orange and Green.

Home Sweet Home

OOOWWW...a card mid week, it's been a long time but feels good and I'm very happy with the card I've made for a US rele, Amy who has just moved into her very first home...we've never met only through the internet when I was tracing our family tree; our grandmothers left Scotland for different sides of the world and contact was lost for many years, so my aim is to reconnect.
I've used the colours from Dynamic Duos DD#47 for this card.

I'm not going to be able to make cards for a few weeks while we head north to organise our gear for the removalists next week.  Here's my cheery card for the Dynamic Duos DD#44 colour challenge - yellow and black with ribbon, I've used the layout at the Paper Players PP#137.  Thanks for taking a peek

Celebrate your Birthday

Shopping Our Stash Challenge 92: Border Punches

Hello from me this Monday morning ....moving day today - we've found a house to rent in Yeppoon, QLD and until our furniture arrives we will live in the van at the property...yippee!!!
So my card this morning fills four challenges..
First the layout from Seize the Birthday STB#9 and the colours from Dynamic Duos DD#43
And over at Shopping Our Stash 92 - Border Punches - last night I was thinking about making a dress using the border dies and a heart cutout - so I layered them up with some ribbon and finished the top off with some bling .... the request at a new blog challenge site for me - Craft your Passion challenge 152 asked you to use an odd number of embellishments...and here's my feminine birthday card with a background created with Shabby Shutters and Broken China distress inks.
Have a super week and Thanks for taking a peek

Dynamic Duos, the Craft's Meow

Feeling good today...second card so my mojo is peeking out......I've used the layout from the Craft's Meow sketch for January and the bright colours of Dynamic Duos DD#34...I have cheated though as there is no stamping on my card - I chose to use one of those die cuts that come with designer paper packs.  Thanks for taking a peek...have a good weekend

I used the layout at Just Add Ink JAI 145...Well I didn't quite make the deadline.  I used my new Spellbinders D-Lites Medallion die.

Dynamic Duos

A late afternoon card for me today ...I did want to make a card using the Dynamic Duos DD#28 (soft and subtle) colours - really like this red and it goes so nicely with a brown/grey. I made a window in this card and lined it with a red leaf and the stamped and embossed this flower three times and layer the images, then finished it off with a strip of ribbon and some pearl bling.  Thanks for taking a peek

Dynamic Duos

Well since our fun time at Vikki's my mojo has disappeared completely - we've returned from our holiday, moved to a new caravan park and as hubby is away now for 3 days, so this morning I dug all my stuff out from under the bed and then stared at it....nothing!!  Well I found a lovely card from Vikki in the post this arvo  and it's given me a little push to shake myself and get on with it.....

<Big SIGH> .... well this card has evolved!!!.......didn't have a plan just thought I'd go with the Dynamic Duos DD#25 colours - orange shades aren't something I do much with, but pumpkin would be a favourite. I just randomly stamped the three outline flowers then thought I'd do one to pop-out, then decided not interesting so coloured them a couple of times with various shades of Twinkling H2Os and of course the card buckled...than looked drab so I stamped on the smaller black flowers as centers and embossed them, add bling. Then I realized the challenge said you could use die cuts so that would be a good way to add a verse...very boring so swiped the edges and added swirls and then finished it off with some black bling. Outcome is that I now find it quite difficult to work with just two colours :-)  Thanks for taking a peek

MojoMonday, Dynamic Duos

Today I've made a card using MojoMonday #261 design and colours for the Dynamic Duos DD#22 - to use Cherry Cobble and a colour of your choice - my colour is Grey, the designer paper from Kaisercraft helped me decide on the colour combo, the floral stamp one I got as a freebie with a magazine. Thanks for taking a peek.
