Birthday Wishes
Well this card came about because I had previously used my new die as a stencil to sponge through and achieve a white outline for another challenge - there was quite a bit of Distress Oxide on the metal die so I laid it on a white water colour paper panel, lightly spritzed the die with water and used a brayer to transfer the ink... what a surprise - it worked really well. It was a little smoochy in one spot so I used a metallic paper triangle to cover this... as per the sketch at Fusion Card challenge this week. Then I used the die to cut a flower, trimmed away the excess and inserted some white negatives to complete the flower and added a few leaves. To finish I stamped and embossed my sentiment in black. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day
ps as this is a Stamplorations die I am adding it to their Never-ending Anything Goes challenge

Happy Birthday
I usually stamp my images in black but thought I might try using a colour of Distress Ink with my Gerbera stamp... I used Festive Berries... and then used it to water colour the image. I overstamped the image panel is a script stamp and layered the panel with green and dark pink. I teamed this with a pretty floral designer paper for the background and to finish added a stamped sentiment. I used the layout at Try Stamping on Tuesday #340 but turned it upside down. And was inspired by the pretty Floral Teacup photo at Fusion challenge. Thanks for taking a peek

From far away a friendly light...
I just love this old stamp so it was sure to be used for a few challenges this week... Victorine Originals challnge #6 - Ahoy Landlubbers, also for Curtain Call Inspiration challenge - Surfs Up!. And I was inspired by the theme and colours over at Fusion Card challenge - Sand, Beach.
I stamped and coloured my image and then used the stitched rectangle die (inserted and part cut, then moved and cut the rest being careful to reverse it in the machine). Then simply layered it on coordinating coloured paper and to finish I added an anchor. Thanks for taking a peek

Learn..Live..Hope
Just thinking as I post this card - how appropriate to be making a male card today - our home backs onto the Townsville Street Racing Car Track - used once a year for the Townsville 400 V8 Supercars ....lots of noise and although I'm not a race car enthusiast it's interesting to sit comfortably on our back deck and watch the race on the TV and experience the really race sounds.
Anyway back to my Male card - I've used the Fusion Card challenge sketch , and have added lots of texture for The Male Room #64 challenge - Add Texture... I dry embossed and then used gold and silver embossing powder on the raised dots. Then I had a dabble at the 'tarnished foil' technique - embossing it with a embossing folder and adding gold, silver EP and some copper Inference Powder and some black Archival Ink. I had this lovely Designer Paper with the sentiment on it and used that to select my card colours and to finish layered these to a grey card and attached a silver embossed stamped fob watch. I am also posting to Happy Little Stamper July Mixed Media challenge - Texture. Thanks for taking a peek

Love Life
mmmmm not much mojo happening for me today seeing as I have a birthday card to make for our daughter next week.... so I decided to have a play with my Brushos and was inspired by the elements of the Fusion challenge - Paris Rain. The striking colours of orange, yellow and green against the greys and black had me stepping out of my comfort zone but I'm quite happy with end result. I stamped on the Eiffel Tower and some grasses in greys and then added some black with silhouette trees. To finish I stamped the sentiment (that came with the Eiffel tower stamp) and then checked the interpretation and added an English version. I used the sketch also. Thanks for taking a peek

You & Me the Perfect Blend
Oh I do enjoy a cup of tea especially in a nice china cup and saucer.. so I'm happy to post my card today with the inspiration from Fusion Card challenge - Pretty in Pink. I used both the sketch and photo for inspiration... including cups and an embossed back panel. I stamped and embossed my image in gold and used Distress Inks to colour it and then fussy cut it out. I found this pink background in my stash made with stencils and DI and light stamping in slightly darker pink...I stamped on my sentiment and attached the cups with 3D tape. I am also posting to Inkspirational challenge #129 with word prompt - Connect.... no nicer way to spend a few moments than with a friend over a cuppa. Thanks for taking a peek

Happy Australia Day
I've just time to post my card this evening to the Just Add Ink #343 challenge - Pop-Up or Interactive card... and as tomorrow is Australia Day I have used my Wattle flower stamp with gold and green the Australian colours - to play along with Fusion Card Challenge. I have also included some die cutting to play along with NBUS #9 - The first optional theme I used this week is a NBUS Technique called "Hidden Word" or "Camouflaged Word" or, if you want to get technical "Steganography."
I've made a square card, folded the front back on itself and attached some DP on the back panel - firstly I die cut "hello" into the DP and then raised it with another die cut so it hides/blends with the card but is raised. I stamped and coloured my wattle with Brushos and layered it with green and 3D mounted it to the front. Then cut a strip of gold and this becomes a 'hinge' across the front attached to the back. Finally I stamped a NBUS sentiment and a few scattered greetings and attached a printed sentiment to the gold strip. Thanks for taking a peek
Australia Day is the official National Day of Australia. Celebrated annually on 26 January, it marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British Ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales, and the raising of the Flag of Great Britain at Sydney Cove by Governor Arthur Phillip. In present-day Australia, celebrations reflect the diverse society and landscape of the nation, and are marked by community and family events, reflections on Australian history, official community awards, and citizenship ceremonies welcoming new members of the Australian community ..... Hope your day is Fabulous
Oh now isn't this photo for the Fusion Card challenge - Orchid Occasions, just stunning .. can you guess I love orchids. So of course I have made a floral card - a simple stamped and coloured image, layered on card with a slash of ribbon to highlight the sentiment and a few gems to finish. Thanks for taking a peek

Happy Birthday
I have used the sketch at Fusion Card Challenge-Season's Greetings. I chose to have a spell from Christmas cards and am adding to my depleted stock of Birthday cards. I used an oval die to create the frame on this Distress Inked background and the stamped and coloured my bird and added a few die cut branches and gems. Thanks for taking a peek, and Happy New Year

Best wishes
Another super pre stamped image in my stash drawer this week has come in handy for this weeks challenge at Inkspirational #78 - image of a woman. Doesn't she look stylish in her "flapper" (cloche) hat. So I decided just to colour her hat and play with two challenges asking for Black and White and my choice of one other colour.....Just Us Girls #285 and Time Out Challenges #27. I have used the sketch at Fusion Card Challenge for my layout.

Sending Happy Thoughts
Well this is about the first Clean and Simple card I have made for ages without dithering about it for ages. I used an old favourite Hero Arts shadow stamp and ink, embossed and stamped just the flower three time, then free hand drew in the stems. A very sweet sentiment from Flourishes finished the card....I love the colours I chose and am playing along with Fusion Card challenge - Floral colour photo inspiration. I also used the sketch layout at Stamplorations challenge #29. I am playing along again at the Card Concept #30 - Thinking of You photo inspiration and at a local blog - Scrapbook Fantasies - Shades of Purple
Thanks for taking a peek Robyn
