Congrats

I have cased lots of elements of Anita's card for the Muse Card challenge #269 this week.... the colour palette, die cuts, layout - her card is so fresh and cheerful.  I used Gelatos to blend my blue ombre background, choosing to have the darker shade against the white die cut landscape. Then I added some die cut foliage and die cut my sentiment in white and yellow for a layered effect... to finish I added a few bright yellow die cut butterflies.  I am also playing along with Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anniversary/Wedding, and Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies challenge.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Happy Mother's Day

This lovely ANZAC Day afternoon I have a shaped card for The Flower Challenge #19, and I am also posting to Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes with Dies Challenge for April.  I folded my white card and the largest die from this set and cut the card through both layers.   Then I die cut the second largest die in green DP and then traced around the outside of the die on pink card and cut it out.  I stamped my floral image and used Distress Oxides to watercolour it and then roughly cut it out.  I stamped my sentiment on a different die cut and sponged the edge with pink ink.  Lastly put all the layers together and used foam tape on the image and sentiment.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Spread your Wings and Fly

This is my third card and a new creation today... a card swap friend sent me this die cut butterfly and I thought it teamed well with this monochromatic background which is actually the side of a tissue box (they do have lovely designs on them these days and yes I keep some of them). I layered it on matching yellow card to frame it and them stamped and embossed my sentiment.  I decided to give some shimmer to my butterfly so I glued sheer sparkly ribbon to it and fussy cut it out.  Then to finish my card I added some mini sequins to the butterfly and a scattering over the card.
I am playing along with Double 'D' challenge - use Sequins, CAS.ology - Butterfly (I hope my card is CAS), and to Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes with Dies challenge.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Christmas Wishes

I think I'm just about Christmas themed out....
but I have a tag/card today inspired by Loll (below) on Day 11 of her Twelve Tags of Christmas event...I'm too late to post but have enjoyed making lots of tags.
I am posting this tag to four challenges... Stamplorations Sketch and Theme November challenge - Stamps & Tags.  To Happy Little Stampers Christmas November challenge - Optional Twist -Tags, Happy Little Stampers Watercolour November challenge - Optional Twist -Tags, and lastly Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies November challenge.
First I die cut my tag shape and then used part of a Tim Holtz die to cut my diamond shapes. Next I created a panel using DOX in Antique Linen and Seedless Preserves and lots of water smooched on my plastic work sheet.  When it was dry I spritzed it with Perfect Pearls to give it that lovely sparkly finish.  I stamped my poinsettia flower in Frayed Burlap DOX on this panel and roughly cut out the image. I added a very small touch of DOX to add depth to the flower and leaves and used the rest of the smooched panel as background to my diamond cut outs. To finish I stamped my sentiment and heat embossed it in silver and added a bow - then framed the tag of a pink panel on white card. Thanks for taking a peek

Summer.....

Each month I'm always wanting to play along with the CAS Watercolour Card challenge and I always seem to leave it till the last minute - determined not to miss out today with only a few hours till close. So I've made a 'summer' card - I chose to use colours in yellow and blues to represent the sand and the beach - a favourite place to spend our summer vacations as a youngster.... now it's not a problem we live in the tropics on the coast.  I swiped my Distress Ink pads on my plastic mat and spritzed with water then smooched my panel in the ink... of course one never knows how the water and paint will react with the card but I was really happy with the blotchy effect.  I flicked a few drops of glitzy orange ink across the card too ... then stamped on my palm tree silhouette.  I decided to die cut a bicycle and make up a beach sign post to finish the card.  I am also posting to Rubber Dance challenge - Theme is Summer Holidays, Happy Little Stampers CAS June challenge - Smoosh, Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies June challenge,  and Simon Says Monday challenge - Vacation and Victorine Originals challenge #9- photo inspiration. Thanks for taking a peek

Have a Beautiful Day

An Aussie themed card from an Aussie girl... my card today bears - gum (Eucalyptus) leaves and blossoms, in two dimensions....Inspired by the stem of pink flowers in the photo below. Firstly I stamped my background foliage in lightly with Distress Ink and used pencil to colour in just a few pieces. Then I die cut some gum foliage in two shades of green card and also the small sections of the flowers in crimson and green again to make my flowers 'pop'. I smooched the edges of my image panel and stamped on my sentiment, then adhered the layers on a green card, finally I added my die cuts. I am posting to Stamplorations CUTplorations May challenge,  also Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes with Dies.  Thanks for taking a peek

Birthday Wishes

Another of my card creations using photographic paper and Distress Inks - swiped onto my plastic sheet in stripes, lightly spritzed with water and press on the card.  Then I used two different stamps with purple inks to create a silhouette garden.  Mounted my front panel on white to frame it and light purple as a background.  To finish I added a floral die cut and stamped sentiment.  I am posting to Watercooler Wednesday WWC115 - CAS Spring and Happy Little Stampers April challenge - Anything Goes with Dies.  Thanks for taking a peek

Happy Birthday

Another of my 'smooched' backgrounds done with Distress Inks and plastic wrap... I love the bright colours and saw an idea to use the negative of a die cut, so I used a new butterfly die and and carefully re-positioned the little bits and then added the cut out as well.  While trimming the panel and was left with a thin strip so decided to use it to frame my sideways stamped sentiment.  I am posting to  Double 'D' challenge for March - Things that Fly. Also Happy Little Stampers Watercolour challenge for March with a twist - Smoosh. and to Happy Little Stampers Anything goes with Dies.  Thanks for taking a peek

Joy

This week Darnell encouraged us to use our colored pencils on her NBUS #8 challenge and I found with them sitting on my desk I started colouring in other images.... and this cute bird stamp has become a little Robin.  I decided to keep is clean and simple - so chose this embossing folder for the background.  Then added some die cut foliage and a contrasting die cut sentiment to finish. I'm posting to Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge - Anything Goes with an Optional Twist - JOY. Also to Happy Little Stamper - Anything Goes with Dies challenge.
