Merry Christmas

A Christmas card to add to my stash today, I used the theme Add a Christmas Tree at Merry Monday challenge #259 and with my gold embossed tree and silver embossed text background I am also playing along at Jingles Belles - include embossing on your card.  This has to be the busiest card I've made in ages... just kept adding and I now agree - less is more sometimes.  I am also posting to Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Christmas theme.
Anyway I stamped my tree twice in Distress Ink and then once with Versamark and heat embossed in gold. Then I masked the trees and silver embossed the background and edges.  To finish I used an orangey brown layer on a green card, added some gems and silver threads.  Thanks for taking a peek

Peace on Earth

I was really inspired to stamp a scene yesterday as I've been seeing some fabulous inspiration on Pinterest.
So I masked off a skyline on a white panel and stamped my tree tops on the horizon and a large tree to the side but then I had to paint my own fence which in the end I'm quite pleased with. I stamped on my pine sprigs across the top and to finish stamped the sentiment and sponged the edge and popped it up with some foam tape, then mounted the panel on a blue card.  I am playing along with the Jingle Belles challenge - Peace on EarthThe Holly and Ivy Christmas challenge #11 - Anything Goes and Addicted to Stamps and More #253 - Holiday theme.  Thanks for taking a peek

Wishing you a Magical Christmas

Can't believe I have just made three Christmas cards in a row, but I do so like to be all done with my Christmas card making by mid Nov, so I can get them sent off by December.
This card is for the Jingles Belles challenge - Here comes Santa Claus.... to include a santa on your card.  I had this one leftover from last year, a lovely old stamp that I'd inked with maroon - so I decided to add some depth to the image and softly coloured some of it with pencils, also added some white gel and silver gel pen on his glasses and the stars.  I layered the panel to dark maroon and blue onto a white card and added a stamped sentiment with a snowflake and gem to finish.  I am also going to post this to Merry Monday - Christmas in July Summer Link-up.... I had to go way back to early last year for a challenge featuring 'Santa'

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas....

Another Christmas card from me - one yesterday too, great to be adding to my stash...
Now this one is using all new stuff... new embossing folder (actually wondered how I was ever going to use it), new snowflakes/gift dies, and a new sentiment stamp.... all new for the ABC Christmas challenge this month 'N' for New.  I was inspired to use the EF with the theme/photo inspiration at Jingle Belles - Snowflakes hanging on an open fireplace..  And I am also joining in at CAS-ual Fridays CFC178 - Christmas in July.
In making my card I just loved the blue and white theme - I fussy cut the embossed fireplace and a few extras for the mantle piece, watercoloured my 'fire', arranged my die cut gifts and snowflakes and added my stamped embossed sentiment strip.  To finish I cut a wee scottie dog in white card using an image from the net and lighly shaded his features...I think he's cute.  Thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas to One and All

Happy Saturday to you, it's a lovely fresh, overcast day here so I'm at my desk already with a card now for Jingle Belles challenge - Stars and/or Stripes.  The wood-grain of the lovely DP background is kind of stripy but my inspiration is the stars... so I've add one large sparkly die cut gold star with a bright ribbon and bow.  Added a grey layer on a red card and finished off with a stamp 3D mounted sentiment. Thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas

Today I managed to combine four Christmas challenge in one card....I found some lovely designer paper for my background in shades of blue for the Merry Monday #251 - challenge Monochromatic Blue and decided to use the die cut Christmas trees landscape with tree being the optional twist at Happy Little Stampers Christmas June Challenge.  I used a white die cut stitched rectangle to frame it then for the Jingles Belles - Oh HOLE-y Night challenge I cut a 'window' in some navy card which I 3D mounted to frame it all again.  I stamped and silver embossed my sentiment sideways on the navy and to finished added a two layer snowflake and embellished my trees with white and blue pearls... using my ' Pearl Stash' for the 52 (Christmas) card challenge.  Thanks for taking a peek

I used the colours burgundy, lime and cream for this Christmas card - used my Misti to stamp the tree in three shades of green and then added some die cut  mini, shiny gold stars. After I layered the card panels I wrapped some burgundy ribbon and a bow to bottom and decided to stamp my sentiment sideways for a change. I am combining four challenges.... Jingle Belles - Bling, add some sparkly and shineHolly and Ivy Christmas challenge - Anything GoesHappy Little Stampers Christmas March challenge with optional twist - a Star52 (Christmas) Card Throw Down colour challenge. Season's Greetings

Kathy is hosting her 7th - 30 Day Colouring Challenge over March and I'm eager to  join in as colouring is a main part of my stamped cards which I  so enjoy doing. Today I finished my Christmas card using the Colour Combo at Season's Greetings challenge #2 so I  took a quick photo of my desk ... showing my two card fronts (this year I've been stamping two images as I go and colouring the second when to mood takes me).  I stamped my poinsettia on watercolor paper and ooooh I wasn't too happy as it was very porous and bled everywhere.... but I just persisted figuring I couldn't make it any worse and after the image was finished I decided to 'conceal' the bleeding and added a light pink water colourwash to the background... I'm actually quite happy with it now.  Then I flicked a few spots of pink and stamped on my sentiment....I used Brushos and decided on a pink flower and red berries to use the colour combo option.  To finish I layered the top panel on darker pink and pale pink card.  I am also posting to Jingle Belles challenge - The Holly and the Ivy.... a Christmas foliage card... fits beautifully with my 'pink' Poinsettias.. I love these flowers/leaves.  Thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas

Well I must say it does get a bit confusing with challenge closing dates because it's the first of March here in Australia - but lucky for me there is still time to post my card to Jingle Belles February challenge - It came upon the Midnight CLEAR - to include something 'Clear' on your card. This card has been partially made,  sitting on my desk waiting for me to decided on how to add a sentiment. This is the second of my 2'fers stamped stocking image and I coloured it with pencils. Then when deciding what to do with it, I figured it was about time to make a shaker card... I use the clear wrapping from stamp sets as my window pane, added some sparkly sequins and and finished the shaker part with lengths of ribbon and a brad decorated with three shiny gems.  I mounted this all on DP and finished the card with a die cut 'Merry' and a stamped 'Christmas'.  I am also posting to Merry Monday #237 - Shimmer & Sparkle.  Thanks for taking a peek

Let It Snow

For this weeks Jingles Belles challenge - Let the Flakes Fall, I've created a snowy scene!!  I'm so chuffed with my watercolour background - I watched a video I saw on FB ... Mimi shares another video on her Facebook page... watch her stamp and paint this peaceful scene: https://www.facebook.com/Mimi-A-La-Carte-205472766133457/  ......
and then had a go myself - it was worth it.
Then I decided to add a wee Robin to my scene.... one of TH crazy birds fussy cut and coloured with Brushos and sitting on a die cut branch.  To finish all I needed with a stamped sentiment and a dark layer to frame it onto the card.  Thanks for taking a peek

Noel

Today I have made this card for two challenges:  firstly for Jingle Belles - Dreaming of a White Christmas, and secondly for 52 (Christmas) Card Throwdown - theme Old Fashioned Christmas. I've basically made a off-white card with a touch of colour (I spied some blue in the inspiration photo) and chose soft mulberry to show off  my santa.  I used a few layers of patterned card stock to give it some dimension and I think the layers add to an old fashioned feel. I stamped my main image in white and embossed in clear as I didn't want stark white, them I sponge vanilla to highlight the image. To get a softer coloured image of the santa (part of the main stamp) I used mulberry and white ink and embossing in clear.  Then I finished the card with some die cut elements.... a spring of holly, a couple of snow flakes and my sentiment. Lastly I added some pearls and a bow - toned down the colour of the ribbon with Picket Fence Distress Ink.  Thanks for taking a peek
