Scrapbook Boutique challenge, Less is More, Our Creative Corner

Morning everyone, hump day, Wednesday today and I enjoy cruising my favourite challenge blog sites to see how my weekend is going to evolve with the creative challenges and participants out there.
I do like trying to combine a couple at once - so here today I have used the Scrapbook Boutique February challenge (photo above) for inspiration on colour and content and then the Our Creative Corner girls challenge - Over the Edge ; had me simply turning my square into a diamond and so off the card front and finally to play along with the Less is More Week 56 challenge Don't Scrap It - to use your scraps....here I am always playing along - I'm terrible - save every thing, you'd be surprised what stamping mistakes are on the back and even my card base is an abandoned card with a smudge on the wording so here I placed a pearl discretely on to disguise my oops... :)  I created the checked card using the inked edge of a piece of foam and first time use also of my Cuttlebug Take the Cake - die and embossing set.  Thanks for taking a peek..

Less is More challenge: week 55, Play Date Cafe 119, Our Creative Corner challenge

Happy TGIF everyone.  At my desk today I was determined to have a card finished to post for the Less in More -week 55 challenge to use punches or dies and to assist I have used  the theme for the Our Creative Corner challenge - black and white and a splash of any colour    - which is also last weeks Play Date Cafe PDCC119 colour challenge using black and white and a splash of colour - hot pink but I decided to use red.
I love making this die cut layered flowers - here I used the Die-namics Uspsey Daisies die and for the stamen the Nellie Snellen punch. And lately inking my embossing folders has come up with some interesting results-here I used black ink on my Cuttlebug Bloom Dots folder.  Thanks for taking a peek

Less is More challenge, Random Acts of Creativity

Hi there this warm Saturday morning is WA. I've made this card for the Less is More challenge week 54 which is to make a One Layer card with Stripes and also using the sketch from The Random Acts of Creativity. One layer cards may look simply but they are not especially when you like adding layers, so a few gems here have added some depth for me. Thanks for taking a peek.

Less is More challenge

Hello fellow card makers.....my next card today is for the Less is More challenge - to use the colour Aqua as the feature of our card.....which I've just discovered is closed so I'm a little late.....
Anyway on this card I've used some layering....seen other creative ladies using this technique and thought to have a go myself.....so I've layer the flower cut with the Die-namics Upsey Daisies die and also used the Spellbinders Edgeabilities Classic Petal die to create the border effect. Thanks for taking a peek.

Less is More challenge, Christmas

Happy Friday folks....Well I didn't quite get to making Christmas cards yesterday soooo here I am today...I just have to make the pile grow. Once again this week I've used the Less is More Sketch for Week 52 as a base design for my cards - although the purple ones I've added some ribbon and layered it.
Looking forward to the weekend and Thanks for taking a peek

Less is More challenge

Hi surprisingly I'm back again today....with a Less is More card for their Sketch challenge for Week 52. I have a new stamp set from Chocolate Baroque I've been wanting to use and the simple lines of this image goes well with the less is more theme.  If you look closely at the text you'll see I mucked up but oh well that's stamping for you.  Thanks for taking a peek...

House Mouse challenge 111, Less is More challenge Week 51, The Sweet Stop

I have put together this weeks card using three blog challenges...that must be a record for me.
Less is More Challenge - this weeks theme is "Cut it Out" and House Mouse Mondays challenge to create a card in Black and White and The Sweet Stop blog challenge this week is Non Traditional Valentine.  So hard for me to not put some colour on this card so I used glitter to give it some sparkle. The heart cut out I created with my oval scalloped spellbinders and decorative edge scissors and I inked the raised hearts black on white card on my cuttlebug embossing folder. Thanks for taking a peek.
PS...Whoops I didn't really follow the sketch for the Sweet Stop challenge, my mistake, sorry

Less is More challenge week 50 - One layer with birds

Hi everyone.....yes you're probably shocked that I have made Christmas cards for this challenge......but.....
briefly it's because this year is going to be exceptionally busy for hubby and I....a wedding in April and then packing to relocate in June and then we'll be on the road....sadly I'm not sure how much crafting stuff I'll be able to take and as I have 80 odd Christmas cards to make I've decided to make Thursdays my Christmas card day for the next 5 months and hopefully by then I'll have enough....so this year might see me making more double ups of the same card. These cards for the Less is More challenge are simply stamped with my Watermark Versamark pad and embossed with coloured embossing powders.....I have a few of these tucked away in a drawer;maybe they're too old and the glitter might rub off - time will tell. They are very sparkly some better than others. Thanks for taking a peek...

Less is More challenge: week 38 - one layer with a heart

For a quick and simple one layer card I put together this card. I have this string of hearts border stamp from a Hero Arts set that I have used once so I thought I'd combine it with the simple 'with love' words that just fitted in nicely with the line, embossed them and added some bling. Thanks for taking a peek.

Less is More challenge 1000 (card 5)

Another Christmas card, the Less is More challenge has me on a roll tonight, but I must stop now. I've had fun and added quite a few cards to my Christmas pile.

Less is More challenge 1000 (card 4)

For these easy Christmas cards I stamped the image with watermark VersaMark and dusted Duo Red-Blue Inference powder - I love the shimmery effect and I'm using products I've had in my kitty for years. Thanks again for taking a peek.

Less is More challenge 1000 (card 3)

I'm on a roll with my twinkling H2O's - just swirled a yellow and orange oval and stamped and embossed my ornament over it. I like this cheery bright card and think I'll try a few other colours and maybe add some bling. Thanks for taking a peek.

Less is More challenge 1000 (card 2)

Here's another simple quick card - brush swipes of twinkling H2O and an outline stamp.

Less is More challenge 1000

This weeks Less is More challenge is Anything CAS Goes. This is a colourful card but still along simple lines. Thanks for taking a peek.

Less is More challenge: week 31 - colour metallic

This is a darkish card but the bright pink metallic stands out. The background card is stripped black and gold metallic hence I took two photos to show this. Thanks for taking a peek, and have a lovely week.

I have changed my photos to try and improve the metallic look...thanks Chrissie

Our Creative Corner, Less is More, Creative 4 Challenges 102

Hi happy stampers, it's Saturday once again and also a new month - I have made this card for my husbands birthday next Sunday and it fits into three challenges: OCC using Black, Grey and Red, C4C a male card, and Less is More -- Take 3 Challenges where you get to choose 3 from any of the previous 29 challenges....so I went back to 1-10 challenges and used week 6- one layer and off the edge, week 7- masculine, week 9- a touch of red, week 10- one layer and sentiment. I did have a couple of goes at this one as the squares are made with ink pads and the sentiment stamped and embossed with black powder so I had to be sure to use my talc pad to help with the tiny dots of black embossing powder. Thanks for taking a peek...happy stamping
Well I missed posting this one on the Less is More challenge...oh well!!!!

Less is More challenge: week 28 ... another card

I was so inspired by all the cards on this weeks Less is More challenge - I just had to make another but being true to the recipe... folded white card, one layer and mostly white - thanks for the advice Mandi. This style is really me and I can see more Christmas cards along these lines.....now I hope.
