May All Your Wishes Come True

This card is inspired by Anita's lovely card (below) for this weeks Muse challenge #260.  I love her colours and the large floral stencil....so not having a stencil I decided to sponge through my new die - I think next time I might cut a stencil to see if I might get a better sponged affect.  I stamped my sentiment and layered it on matching card.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day
ps As this is a Stamplorations die and am adding it to their Never-ending Anything Goes challenge

Hugs for You

My card today is for the Muse challenge #253 with inspiration from Tracey (below)... I created a water wash background in blue and pink as I liked the two tones on her card... my water splotches didn't work too well.  Then I stamped my bear image, water coloured it with Distress Oxide ink and fussy cut it.  I stamped my 'hugs' sentiment and cut it out and added further sentiment to the back panel, then to finish popped up my image with foam tape.
I am also posting to Daily Markers 30 day Colouring Challenge - I'm a mite behind but we have a few days to add our last posts and Watercooler Wednesday challenge #157 - All Occasions - my sweet bear could be for any occasion.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Hello, Sunshine

Today I had a chance to finish off some works in progress but you know how it is sometimes you get inspired and before you know it you've got another work in progress.  Well this card is one from the first pile of WOPs... My background panel was made with washes of Distress Oxides - love how it turned out and just right for some silhouette stamping in the foreground. To finish I added a purple card strip to hold my sentiment stamped on vellum and a die cut butterfly that I inked and embossed in clear and added a purple background to it.  I was inspired by Anita's card at Muse challenge #252 - the layout with the foliage at the bottom, overlayed with the sentiment and the butterfly.

I am also posting to Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media challenge for February - Butterfly.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Lovely Friend

I just love everything about Tracey's card (below) at Muse Challenge #237 this week... I think I've cased most aspects... one layer card, stamped image off the edge, lovely soft colouring of part of the image and sentiment in the bottom corner.. I've used one of my favourite floral stamps - Power Poppy Magnolias and by using DOX to paint my image it has a soft muted colouring.  I am the biggest fan of floral stamps and so I am also playing along at The Flower Challenge #13 use your favourite flower - where they are celebrating their first birthday - congrats girls.  Thanks for taking a peek

Thankful..

A beautiful Spring morning here in Australia but I do love Autumn and I've chose Autumn colours for my Muse challenge #236 casing Anita's card below. I have also used a similar layout, also leaves and vellum and a sponged background over the embossed images. And to finish stamped an extra leaf in Distress Oxide and embossed and then fussy cut and used it to hold in place my stamped and embossed sentiment on vellum.

Thinking of You

A card today for the Muse Challenge #234, casing Kim's lovely card below and using a new stamp set (a freebie with a magazine) - for my entry to Darnell's  #12 NBUS challenge.  I really love the colour combination and layout of her card and have also used flowers and birds as my stamped image.  I coloured them with Distress Inks and to finish stamped on my sentiment and added a few sequins.  I thought the card looked a bit flat so added an embossed line around the edge and layered onto blue card.
Thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas

Now I do like a Wreath to celebrate the season... but I so have trouble with my wreath stamps, they just look awful or really I lack the creativeness to dress them up ...  SO when I saw this idea using a circle die, I had to try out this scribbly circle die and see if it could look like a wreath... I cut out the centers from the two different colour greens die cuts and dressed it up with a bow and few die cut flowers. To finish I stamped on my sentiment.  I like Tracey's modern feel to her wreath and white top panel framed in red... I am posting to Muse Card challenge #233, casing Tracey's card below and also to Addicted to Stamps and More #259 - Clean and Simple challenge.   Thanks for taking a peek

Here for you, Friend

Oh!!! this is a bright card, but I'm liking how it turned out.  I used my Gelatos and a circle mask to make my three orbs and then decided to use them on a card for Calling All Sistahs challenge CGS03...photo inspiration that features a hot air balloon. So I simple stamped a balloon in black slightly off the biggest orb. To finish I stamped on a sentiment, and offset layered the panel on matching watermelon card onto a white card.  I am also posting to Muse challenge #227 - Anything Goes.  Thanks for taking a peek

Hello...

Weeellll I don't know where this card came from, definitely not my usual floral, but I was pretty much inspired by Marcie (her card below) the guest artist at the Muse challenge #226. I popped over to her blog to read how she'd made the background - with paint... so as I don't a supply of paint I resorted to my Brushos.  I swiped the black Archival Ink pad over a white card and then using four colours I sprinkled each separately, spritzed with water, moved it a little with a brush and heat dried between each colour.  Then I black inked the edge of my panel and flicked white paint about (that's the hardest part of making the background - got it everywhere).  Then stuck it to a white card and finished off with a die cut sentiment, glued to aqua card and hand cut. It was fun and I have inky fingers to prove it.  Thanks for taking a peek.

Happy Birthday

This week at Muse challenge #221 we are casing Jenni's card below.... it is also her farewell post and I too wish to thank her for all the inspiration and encouragement.  I chose to follow her theme of mixed text on a colourful layer centered on a simple white background.  I masked off a section of a large background text stamp and used Kaleidacolour ink pad to get the variation in colours.  Then for the background to add interest I used an embossing folder to repeat the mixed text.  A simple to make card and I'm pleased with the result.  Thanks for taking a peek

Happy Birthday

Over at Muse Card challenge #218 this week, Ardyth is celebrating a special birthday and we are to CASE one of her delightful card creations - I love her style.
I have selected the card (below) for my card...focusing on her layout with her flowers arranged along one side and also the colours - blue, pink and yellow.  I stamped and embossed my flowers a number of times using a mask and silver embossing powder and then used Distress Inks to colour the image.  I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle and to finish add a silver embossed stamped sentiment and a few scattered sequins.  Thanks for taking a peek.
