Christmas Giftcard Holder

A lovely idea to give a Gift Card to someone who has everything, in a lovely handmade Giftcard Holder..... at Power Poppy 12 Days of Christmas the Bloom Team have us making some useful items for Christmas. On Day 2 Stacey has made a Giftcard Holder which inspired me to have a go.  I used DP for the front and inside card holder section. Then hand cut a shape similar to the paper design on the front around my sentiment... using green and red to add layers...I think it looks a bit like an ornament. Then attached it to some glitter gold tape across the top of the card and attached it with foam tape and a gem.  Inside I used a sentiment tag from a DP pad and mounted it to white card to use as my Gift Card.  I am also posting to Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Gift It and Muse; Christmas Visions #90 - Festive Free for All.   Thanks for taking a peek

Wishing You All the Joys of the Season

A tag/card from me today... for the Muse: Christmas Vision December challenge 90, Festive Free For All - a Holiday card.  I smooched my background panel with Distress Oxides. Then for my tag I dry embossed some white card and trimmed it to a tag. Then die cut my ornament three times... one run with double sided adhesive tape on top and the second in matt silver card and the third with metallic aqua.  After removing the protective layer on the adhesive tape I sprinkle the ornament outline with aqua glitter. Then using double sided tape I replaced the bottom sections in matt silver and the top with metallic aqua. I used metallic aqua gel pen to add some dots to my ornament.
Then I silver embossed my stamped sentiment and outlined it with the aqua gel pen.  To finish I added another tag cut in textured aqua card and tied on some ribbon with silver thread.  Thanks for taking a peek

Let it Snow....

This morning I have finished off my tag for the Muse; Christmas Visions challenge 89 - they are sponsors on Day 15 of Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags and the theme is SNOW....which us pretty weird for us from hit, humid, tropical Northern Australia.
I used a stitched die to cut my tag is purple.  Then stamped my snowflakes with Versamark  and heat embossed in white. Next I used DOX in Faded Jeans and Seedless Preserves and used a wide brush to water wash my panel, and cut it to size for my tag.  I die cut a snowflake in glitter white card and added a gem to the center. Finally I stamped my sentiment and embossed it in white on vellum and used a mini stitched tag die to cut it out....I added a bow and silvery thread to my tag tops.  Thanks for taking a peek

Oh, Christmas Tree

My white embossed Christmas tree card is for this weeks Muse challenge #242. I am casing Ardyth's card (below) and although I couldn't make a grey and white card I have used dark navy blue, I like that she trimmed one side of her tree and and then I also used white gems and a few grey ones to decorate my tree.  I copied her layout  and stamped and white embossed my sentiment to the side. To finish I added a die cut star in white glitter card.  I am also posting to Inspired by All the Little Things challenge #72.  Thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas

My card today is casing Cornelias' fun card at Muse; Christmas Visions 88....loved her use of the die cut sentiment in a bright green base with the white card showing through and then her very cute images.  I have used a similar die cut style with my sentiment base and then some fun bird images that I coloured and then added some sparkly glitter.  Thanks for taking a peek

Joy

Today I am casing Eliza's gorgeous snowflake card for the Muse; Christmas Vision challenge 87. I love the colours, the simple clean feel, the sprinkle of sequins and gems and those snowflake dies are to die for too... so I've come up with these elements on my card.  I dry embossed my snowflake background, then die cut a few different snowflakes, adding some glitter to a couple and then slightly positioned them over those on the background.  To finish I added a die cut 'Joy' - I added some glitter glue pen to give it a lift and then a scattering of coloured sequins and gems. Season's Greetings

Casing a cute card from Chriss this challenge at Muse: Christmas Visions 86...  I made a stamped, white embossed snowflake background with watercolour wash in blue Distress Ink... it went on beautifully with a dry baby wipe and a real wet puddle of ink.  Then I coloured and fussy cut my stamped reindeer image and formed a snowy bank for him to stand on.  I am also posting to Addicted to Stamps and More challenge #263 - Holiday. To finish I stamped on a mini sentiment.  Thanks for taking a peek

Peace to the World

I  have definitely had fun this month with CAS Mix Up - Watercolour Wash and CAS Watercolour - Silhouette.  I also used the theme at Muse: Christmas Visions 85 with Stephanie's card (below) as inspiration for my card... Peace.  I created this watercolour wash background with Brushos and lots of water.. love the soft colours.... then I decided to hit it with my Perfect Pearls Mist to add some shimmer.  I used a die cut word - Peace and finished off with a stamped sentiment.. To complete the card I added a white silhoutte die cut bird (dove) and sprig (olive branch).  I am also posting to Simon Says Monday challenge - Shimmer and Shine.  Thanks for taking a peek

Peace, Love and Joy

A lovely gold and white card from Kimberley for us to case at Muse: Christmas Visions 84. - I was inspired with the ornament and sentiment for my card.
I die cut a Christmas bauble in gold and then smooched it with Versamark and sprinkled on some glittery gold embossing powder which has given the die cut a lovely sparkle.  I used the embossing powder also for my sentiment that I layered on the gold paper.  To lift it I edge my front panel in gold ink and curved off the corners to match the sentiment. To finish I added a ribbon bow and hanger. I am also posting to Happy Little Stamper Christmas September challenge - optional twist - Sparkle. Thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas

WOW What a stunning card from Muse Jessica, for the Muse Christmas Vision MCV82 challenge, Christmas in July.  I love everything about her card - the die cut leaves backed with blue, the gorgeous water coloured poinsettia, the added sequins and rings of gold and finally the sparkly die cut sentiment.... so here's my rendition. I backed my die cut leaf sprays with blue and stamped my flower and embossed with sparkly gold embossing powder and then painted it with Brushos and fussy cut it out.  I die cut the sentiment twice - in sparkly gold and blue and glued them together. Then arranged my sequins and gold rings (a pen tip dipped in gold glitter glue) and to finish, attached my sentiment and 3D mounted my flower.  I am also posting to Rudolph Days challenge - Anything Goes.  Thanks for taking a peek

Merry and Bright

This month Kimberley has a lovely card for the Muse: Christmas Vision #80 ... and here is my interpretation - the elements of her card that I was inspired by are - firstly the two blue birds, and the blue background. red (berries) spots of colour and the red bow.  I stamped, coloured and fussy cut my birds and then used a scalloped die for my wreath shape - I stamped some pine foliage on it on which to sit my birds. To finish I added a 3D mounted sentiment and mini bow.  Thanks for taking a peek

'Twas the night before Christmas

A fun Christmas card from me this morning.... I am casing Cornelia's card for the Muse; Christmas Vision challenge this month. Her Christmas kitty peering over the wall inspired me to make my Santa on the roof going down the chimney.  I used embossing folders to create a textured roof and chimney stack and top, and the chimney top.  Then I used a solid stamp for my Santa... and rather than try and colour the stamp with markers I stamped him in antique linen Distress Ink and then used Brushos to colour him in.  I fussy cut him and attached all my pieces to a snowflake embossed white back panel....which I mounted on navy blue card to represent the night sky. Finished off the card with a stamped sentiment.  I am also posting to Holly and Ivy Christmas challenge where they are celebrating their very first challenge...Anything Goes, and to Addicted to Stamps and More #233 ... Holiday theme.  Thanks for taking a peek
