Happy Birthday

My last card today is also a Male theme... I inked the clock images of the embossing folder and ran it through the Cuttlebug, then sponged the edges of the panel. I used brown card strips along the edge for the theme at Stamplorations CAS card challenge for November. And added a stamped sentiment in orangey brown.  Then from my pre stamped stash I found this clock - fussy cut it and coloured it with DI and sparkly gel pens.. and a final spray of Perfect Pearls.
I am also posting to Seize the Birthday challenge - Topping Options - Circles ... which I think my clock fit perfectly.  Thanks for taking a peek

Happy Father's Day

Well I hope you are having a lovely start to the week... it's beautiful here, weather perfect, chores are done and I've free time at my desk.  Earlier this year I remember this owl stamp in the back of one of my stamp drawers and when I saw the challenge at The Paper Player #349 Feathered Friends I knew he'd have a staring role.  I have also used 'masculine colours' for the Stamplorations CAS Card challenge for June and then followed with the theme at Stamplorations June Theme and Sketch challenge.... Stamps and Family.  I used coloured pencils for a change to colour the image and then added some feint shading to the background - the mauve and blue influenced my choice of layering and card.  To finish I added a stamped sentiment for Fathers' Day.  Thanks for taking a peek

for my Special Friend

Again I am using images from my stash and I thought these crazy birds were just right for the Stamplorations CAS Card challenge for June - optional twist Masculine Colours,   They have been stamped using a mask and water coloured them with Distress Inks ... I like to add little quirky facial expressions too.  Then I stamped on my sentiment to a bright blue background and a orange strip for them to stand on and mounted this to a black card.  I am also posting to Simon Says Monday challenge which is also Masculine and to Happy Little Stampers Watercolour challenge - optional twist - Mask.  Thanks for taking a peek

Pretty Posy

Good morning on this beautiful sunny Autumn day and for me my card is quite meaningful as this week I have spent some lovely mornings digging and re-arranging my garden.  I love the soft pretty colours on this card....and I think the blues could be seen as 'feminine' for the May Stamplorations CAS card challenge - option Feminine Colours.... Also the added splashes of Red flowers fits nicely with Happy Little Stampers May Watercolour challenge - option - Red.  I stamped and embossed my posy image in soft gold and watercoloured with Brushos. I used an oval die to mostly cut around my image and hand cut the overlap. Then found this lovely soft blue DP and ribbon to finish my card. I have left the card without a sentiment so I can use it for any occasion - which just might suit my mum who is recovering from a knee replacement.  Thanks for taking a peek

Let your Dreams take flight

Well we've had a wonderful day here in Townsville....it's been raining, yeah!!   ... so I've enjoyed an afternoon at my desk.  My first card is very clean and simple, one layer card .... I created the blue hues background - by inking my clean plastic block with marker pens and then lightly spritzing with Perfect Pearls... you can't notice in the photo but there is a lovely shimmer. Then I simply stamped on my birds - that was a bit more work than ink and stamp... I used the stamp opposite and masked off areas with tape and then inked them. I used a white gel pen to colour the birds and finished my card with a stamped sentiment.  I am posting to Addicted to Stamps and More #232 - Make Your Mark - used markers, Less Is More #318 - Mainly Teal and also to Stamplorations CAS card challenge - Anything Goes with optional colour - sky blue.  Thanks for taking  a peek

With Love

When I saw Theresa's card at The Flower Challenge #5 - CASE the Guest Designer, I knew I would have to try out this technique - I love the white die cut flower fitted back into the white card and the pretty pink colours showing through.... so here is my take on her card.  I used a water coloured pink background card that was spritzed with Perfect Pearls mist so it is all shiny and decided to use the edge of the panel to frame my white die cut top.  I stamped 'with' on the top and finished with a die cut 'love' and couple of hearts.  I am also posting to The Card Concept #66 - Love and Romance challenge and to Stamplorations February CAS Card challenge - option Bright Pink.  Thanks for taking a peek
