Happy Birthday

Well who doesn't enjoy a red.... I certainly do and I love this stamp, it makes a great male card.  I stamped the image and used Distress Inks to watercolour it, then fussy cut it out.  Found this cool background DP and added a few glass rings  Then stamped my sentiment on a die cut stitched rectangle and used foam tape to add my elements.  I am playing along at The Male Room challenge #102 - Anything Goes, optional twist Beverages and Seize the Birthday #157 - Using the Toppings - Stamping Only.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy card making

Happy Birthday

A few quiet moments this morning to post my card before we head off to the grand daughters birthday party - two in one, 3 days apart and two very excited little girls - 5 and 3.
For the image panel on this card I used markers direct to the stamp, then a little 'huff' before stamping onto cream card... I also restamped the tall tulip and fussy cut it out.  I used a stitched rectangle die to cut the panel and layered it onto a red card.  I cut another front panel and sponged the edges in the colours of the flowers and tied a ribbon bow around the bottom and attached it to a cream card.  To finish I attached my single tulip, stamped a small sentiment and added a some sparkly bling.
I am playing along with Just Add Ink #432 - I chose Bows and Bling and also at Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

Birthday Wishes

I squeezed in some quiet time to watercolour this card today... trying to achieve a 'Glow' for the Power Poppy Creative Confetti challenge... I'm happy but think I'll need to practice.  I used Distress Inks to watercolour my stamped image and then a curved stitched die to cut my panel. Then stamped on my sentiment and framed the panel with DP and dusky pink card.  I am also joining in the fun at Shopping Our Stash challenge #367 - Leaf it to me, and Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes challenge.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

Happy Birthday

I was totally inspired by Stacy's lovely card (below) with her gorgeous silver embossed florals and beautifully coloured, then that fabulous die cut white on white background.... here is my Birthday card using these elements. I water coloured my image with Distress Inks and fussy cut it, arranged the image and silver embossed sentiment with foam tape and to finish added a few white pearls.  I am playing along with Power Poppy - Power & Spark challenge - Inspire Me, also playing along with Seize the Birthday challenge - Anything Goes, and Happy Little Stampers July Watercolour Challenge - Optional twist Birthday.

Enjoy the Ride...

Today I have made a male birthday card and am posting to three challenges --- Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes challenge,  Simon Says Monday challenge - Transport It, and Watercooler Wednesday WWC155 - Marsha's Masculine 'Anything Goes' challenge.
I scrounged through my stamped images stash and found this cool motorbike, so I coloured it with metallic gel pens in blue and silver and a little bit of grey marker, then I roughly cut it out.  The background paper came with a magazine with a map and scene, just perfect to go with the bike. I framed the panel in black onto a blue card.  To finish I stamped my sentiments on scrap and edged with black ink and attached them with foam tape as well and the motorbike.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

.....every Birthday a Treasure

Here's another of my shimmery Twinkling H2O water wash backgrounds - I just painted in a little hint of land/trees and then stamped, fussy cut and painted my yacht and positioned it with foam tape.  The scene needed a frame and then after stamping my sentiment, cut it in half and thought it needed a couple of stamped, fussy cut and coloured shells.  I am playing along with CAS Watercolour June challenge - Ocean, and also with Seize the Birthday - Beachy Birthday.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Birthday Wishes

Of course my card had to include a waterlily when casing this weeks Sweet Gupta's lovely card over at Muse challenge #268.  I stamped my image with DI in Antique Linen to achieve a no line effect when I watercolured with Distress Oxides, then fussy cut it out.  I die cut a wavy border on a background created with DO and backed the cut out with shimmer light gold metallic paper, leavinga a fine border along the top edge too, then attached this to a white card before stamping on my sentiment. I chose to use a pink card as it helps frame and lift the image.  I have used elements... waterlily, layout, gold, watercoloured image as inspiration.  I am also playing along with Watercooler Wednesday challenge WWC172 - Anything Goes, and Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes challenge.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Another year flies by...

I have a 'nature' card today and some of my favourite flowers...waterlilies, but I was prompted to use my frog stamp as well because so thankfully it's been raining here and the frogs are in full voice - I love it.  I stamped and embossed these lily leaves some time ago so water coloured them with Distress Oxides, created a pond and sponged some sky.  Then stamped, water coloured my frog and fussy cut him out.... he came with a set including the tiny fly and sentiment which suits fabulously.  I popped my frog up with some foam tape also my sentiment die cut as a speech bubble.

Happy Birthday

My last card today is also a Male theme... I inked the clock images of the embossing folder and ran it through the Cuttlebug, then sponged the edges of the panel. I used brown card strips along the edge for the theme at Stamplorations CAS card challenge for November. And added a stamped sentiment in orangey brown.  Then from my pre stamped stash I found this clock - fussy cut it and coloured it with DI and sparkly gel pens.. and a final spray of Perfect Pearls.
I am also posting to Seize the Birthday challenge - Topping Options - Circles ... which I think my clock fit perfectly.  Thanks for taking a peek
