I'm away from my desk for a few weeks but I do manage to pack a crate of stamping gear, so today I have a CAS card using my Distress Inks to watercolour the Inspired by Stamping image for the Paper Players #241 challenge, also used the layout from CAS(E) this Sketch #119 and the theme at Curtain Call - Bouquet. Live for Today, Dream of Tomorrow
ooooh dear I am a floral lady, just love flowers, so couldn't not post a card to these two challenges... CAS.ology - Blossom and The Paper Players PP236 - Clean and Simple: Floral.
As this is a NBUS (new) stamp which I'm really liking - I'm joining Darnell and NBUS#4,... I just stamped and colored with Distress Inks and washed the background in very pale blue and drew a frame around it. A simple layer of designer paper and a black banner finishes the card. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

i Love U
A lovely cooler day to be creating at my desk today....I have made this card for the House Mouse and Friends HMFMC187 challenge - Love is in the Air, House of Cards - Love challenge, and The Paper Players #230 - Critter-tine. I water coloured my furry friends image with Distress Inks and framed and layered it onto a white square card. I finished off with the sentiments stamped on small die cut hearts and a length of ribbon. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

With Love & Best Wishes
Today my card image is stamped on old sheet music I picked up at the Op Shop yesterday. For a while I have been wanting to recycle a book page or music sheet but found it quite difficult to ruin the original...but I did it today. I stamped the Chocolate Baroque honeysuckle image in black and coloured it in with distress inks...I love how they age and worked really well with this old paper. I torn the edges a little and backed it with a matching card then attached a sentiment tag, I aged with DI and double stamped the words. I'm posting to the Paper Players #226 challenge - a project using recycling. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Just a Note
the colours from the Paper Players PP#195
the layout from Retro Sketches rs#114
the theme from City Crafters - 'Pin It'
I dry embossed the background and lightly sanded it. Then using the same embossing folder I dabbed Distress Ink on one side, lightly sprayed it with water and hand pressed white card on top to create the center panel. Clipped my sentiment along with a die cut medallion to the centrepiece with a mini peg. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

...to Someone Special
Hi and happy Friday crafting friends.
I'm really liking the simplicity of this card, can't believe I've used torn cardboard box on it either.
Well late yesterday I finally seemed to want to make a card and found the sketch challenge #235 at Just Us Girls and then the theme at the Paper Players PP190 - three of anything, so after deciding on the corrugated pieces I pick a metallic plain background and found this gorgeous medallion stamp (a freebie from a magazine) that I just finished off with a small gem.

Thanks
"Sighing" ... a Grey card, wow that's so different for me - but I'm really really happy with it.
I'm playing along with Inspired by Stamping Blog Hop - Flowers also using their "Thanks" sentiment stamp,
Using the layout at Pals Paper Arts #PP193
and the Shades of Grey colour for the CAS-ual Fridays #CFC129 challenges.
I made my two tone flowers with a new Cheery Lynn flower strip die.

Joy to the World
Hi happy card makers....yesterday I was quite taken with the JUGS210 challenge - 'Die Cut Inlay Technique' and as I'm really happy with the Christmas tree die that I recently bought attached to a magazine I thought I'd give it a go...and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Also got away from the traditional colours and used this weeks colour challenge at the Paper Players PP147...and thankfully my Christmas card pile is growing. Thanks for taking a peek

Curly Happy Birthday
I love this technique and haven't had my chalks (soft pastels) out for ages, so I just had to make a card
...well actually I made two
My first blue card is also for The Paper Players challenge and I've chose the top line across:
Birds, Blue and Birthday.
I used the Versamark ink and chalk to do the bird cage, the sentiment and the bird - he wasn't facing the right way so I stamped him on the Mirror Block and then on the card, he came out less defined but still cute.
On my second card with the flower I chalked the card and then stamped the swirls and chalked them in two shades.

Just a note to say...
ooooh look what I found in my pre stamped drawer.....a gorgeous gumnut twig, just waiting there for years to be cherished, discovered and turned into a 'keeping in touch' card....
The Paper Players PP142 challenge this week is for a one-layer card.....suits my gumnuts well
Thanks for taking a peek

Best Wishes
I can't believe I just made this card...I was definitely finished for the afternoon and then I walked passed my desk again and the silver foil medallion was staring at me - it's made from the thick foil you have to cut out of the top of a container like powdered gravy or stock and I was wondering how it would look embossed... and it just so happens the Paper Players PP#140 were asking you to recycle something on your card - I've teamed it with the layout at Retro Sketches rs#58 - I always find their sketches do-able!! Thanks for taking a peek......Removalists arrive tomorrow oh what fun

Just a Note
...well hello again with another card. I'm not going to be able to make cards for a few weeks while we head north to organise our gear for the removalists next week. Here's my cheery card for the Dynamic Duos DD#44 colour challenge - yellow and black with ribbon, I've used the layout at the Paper Players PP#137. Thanks for taking a peek
