OOOWWW...a card mid week, it's been a long time but feels good and I'm very happy with the card I've made for a US rele, Amy who has just moved into her very first home...we've never met only through the internet when I was tracing our family tree; our grandmothers left Scotland for different sides of the world and contact was lost for many years, so my aim is to reconnect.

I've used the colours from Dynamic Duos DD#47 for this card.

Warm Thoughts

 

Well I started this card on Saturday and have been able to finish it off today - I love the warm earthy colours of the challenge at Just Add Ink JAI 160 and the layout at Sketchbook Saturday 93. Hope you like my interpretation of the challenges, thanks for taking a peek.

 PS.  I'm still having so much trouble with my camera and true colours, I'm certainly going to try and set up a photo light box.....soon

My second card today is another white card....with the flowers and ribbons adding the colours....I've used the palette at Color Throwdown CTD236 and the layout from Freshly Made Sketches #80, my card also fits with the Chevron and Flowers challenge at CAS-ual Fridays CFC97. Hi blog visitors....so good to be back at my desk and skyping with Vikki after two weeks away....getting excited too as our furniture etc arrives next Friday and I'll finally be able to set up my stamping space and have all my gear after 10 months without it. I think I've done pretty well with what I was able to cart about with me in the caravan but in all aspects it will be nice to be settled in one spot for a few years.

Here's my card today using the layout at Retro Sketches re#57 and 

the colours at Pals Paper Arts PPA156......there's no stamping on this card I  used the Friends embossing folder; inking the smooth side so the words would stand out white.

OOOOWW!!! I'm making a second card on a Monday:-)    I love the colours at Annabelle Stamps colour challange  ac158 - choosing the watermelon colour was a challenge in itself and then this morning I see Retro Sketches rs#55 layout and there you go - I'd already die cut the borders and ribbon just matched fabulously.  Thanks for taking a peek

a little greeting

 It's been a while since I tackled a 10 minute Craft Dash challenge but thought I'd have a go at this weeks #13 with craft, green and brown colours....to help I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #77.  I'm a bit rusty it took me 11 minutes 25 sec to do this one - my ricrac came unstuck as I was about to stick the layers onto the card but at least it got me going this afternoon I was feeling a bit tired after a busy day yesterday painting out the inside of the cupboards to freshen them up.  Thanks for taking a peek

I've enjoyed a lazy day today and slowly this afternoon this card came together - so  slowly that I've missed posting it to the Colour Throwdown CTD232 challenge anyway I've used the soft colours and the layout at Retro Sketches rs#54 .... I'm not liking the colours on my new camera though mmmm have to ask my son about it.  Thanks for taking a peek.
