For the layout at CAS-Colours & Sketches #33 I've chosen to make a male birthday card - I've had the two pieces of split pea green card sitting on my desk for a while and when I found the Birthday sentiment in my pre-stamped drawer this week it just seemed to go with it perfectly - I like the colour combination. Hope you've enjoyed your weekend and find time to create this week, thanks for taking a peekMonday, 15 July 2013

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C194- Marine Life
A fun card today for a number of blog challenges....Water, Marine seem to be a theme this week so I've combined a few.
At Papertake Weekly they're asking for a card using one of the theme - Old, New, Borrowed or Blue; so I've chosen Old being the stamped mermaid and the sentiment from my pre-stamped drawer (both years old) and they were both created from Borrowed stamps (hence in the stash drawer). New would be the white card stock for the card base and Blue for the marine/water theme which also falls into the catagory for Addicted to CAS - Water - the waves I created with the die cut border and chalks and the mermaid is painted with my Twinkling H2Os so can also be for the Mixed Media technique challenge at Just Us Girls JUGS197. My card also fits with the Marine theme at Crazy4Challenges C4C194 and Just Add Water over at Just Add Ink JAI173. Thanks for taking a peek

More Notelets
Well it's amazing how things flow once you get started...been dead all afternoon and now it's 4:30pm and I should be thinking of tea and picking up hubby from golf but I discovered some pre-stamped floral pieces and thought I could make some more notelets for my mum's trading tables...here are my previous ones.
Then during the week I figured how to make these bags for the notelets from an A4 sheet (previous bags made from 12x12 card) - you know I'm wanting to use up 'those colours' that just aren't you and that you're unlike to use on a card, and even the patterned card too...so
i'm a bit happier with my day. Thanks for taking a peek

Fantastic Birthday
Back again with a card for the CAS-ology Week 52 challenge - to use "Neon" well when Vikki told me this I immediately thought of this pink glittery card I spotted in the scrap drawer this week and before I new it I'd come up with this card - the black really shows up the bright glarey pink and seen through the medallion die is really cool, 'hip'!! Thanks for taking a peekEspecially for You
A clean and simple card this afternoon for the CAS(E) this sketch CTS#36 challenge - I have a number of these fancy label stamps but never know how to use them - so thanks to some inspiration from the DT girls I used this one and combined it with an oval die cut that just seems right, a bit of bling and a few scored lines and there you go ... it's pretty white though scary for me. Thanks for taking a peekBest Wishes
Burnt Umber ... Honey ... Buttermmmmmmm....what yummy colours from Play Date Cafe #190 and soooo inspired by Jaclyn Millers card (check it out here)
So Vikki and I are having a rather weird day as our skype is playing up but thanks Vikki for pointing out Jaclyns lovely card, it's nice to just create an abstract kind've card instead of my usual florals. I'm quite happy with the result using my Chocolate Baroque stamps
and thanks for taking a peek

WHW #018–Creating Frames with IBS Nestie Dies
Hi there today from blustery Yeppoon, had rain over night so it's a bit fresh today with the wind.
I've made a card today using the Whoo Hoo Wednesday WHW#018 technique and created a frame for my verse for the Crazy4Challenges C4C-193. I nstamped a few grasses along the base of a background I created with my DistressInks and Perfect Pearl Mist and then layered two die cut frames around my verse. Thanks for taking a peek and happy Wednesday
What's On Your Workbench, Wednesday? #214
Morning and happy hump day and here's a pic of my desk for WOYWW, If you're wondering about this blog post check out Julia at Stamping Ground to learn more. Today I'm working on a card using a technique shared by Joanna at Inspired by Stamping but I'm really just putting off the fact that hubby has been dropping BIG hints about me sorting out our tax papers (seeing as I'm not working and I should have plenty of time), so I'd best get it finished and posted and at least start on the tax stuff - yuk!!!!! Happy crafting and thanks for taking a peek
