Joy to the World
Hi happy card makers....yesterday I was quite taken with the JUGS210 challenge - 'Die Cut Inlay Technique' and as I'm really happy with the Christmas tree die that I recently bought attached to a magazine I thought I'd give it a go...and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Also got away from the traditional colours and used this weeks colour challenge at the Paper Players PP147...and thankfully my Christmas card pile is growing. Thanks for taking a peek

WOYWW #228
Blue and White Christmas card

Sometimes isn't it so difficult to get away from the traditional Red and Green Christmas colours, but this week I've been on the blue and white colour scheme so this fits really well with the challenge at 52 (Christmas) Card Throwdown #22. And I just purchased a magazine with this fabulous Christmas tree die so I've been rolling away on the Cuttlebug perfecting the cutout - seems my C plate is about had it...accidentally my star fitted perfectly over the snowflake on the the DP. Thanks for taking a peek....happy Christmas card making

Believe in the Miracle of Christmas
For the ABC Christamas Challenge - T for Transparent, I've made a Christmas window card complete with 'transparent' glass, with a cute little cardinal to peer through at the decorated embossed tree. Thanks for taking a peek
Blue, White and Silver Merry Christmas
Found some snowflake paper white checking out my Christmas stash so here's another card for Merry Monday #79 - Snowflakes. Thanks for taking a peekHave Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
Trying so hard for some motivation as it's been about 5 weeks since I've been able to sit at my desk and now the pressure is on to make Christmas cards...so I've made a few of this one as they were nice a simple...love the blue and white theme for Christmas and even dug out the old silver embossing powder for my sentiment - Snowflakes for #79 Merry Monday. I even die cut the snowflakes from glitter cardstock I've had for years - sometimes it's hard for us Aussies to make winter Christmas cards lucky for me I've a few reles overseas. What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday???
A cleanish desk for me this week to show on the WOYWW 222 - I had a big tidy up on the weekend so I could make cards on Saturday - must tell you that I Skype with my friend Vikki most Saturdays, she was the biggest life saver for me when we moved to Western Australia (3500kms away) 2 years ago and kept me inspired and company while hubby was off playing golf...we've moved back to Queensland and now only 720kms away so we still skype ....we're pretty good and getting the housework done on Saturdays now :-)
On my desk today is a Christmas card I made this morning and have just posted, then to the left is the makings of a birthday card for sister-in-law's 50th and the pinkish cards are Baby Thank You's for our daughter who's due next month....I'm trying to get ahead as we'll be away for a month - have to go south and give our rental property a splash of paint and some reno's so we can put it on the market. Well if you'd like to join in and check out some other busy desks across the world pop over to Julia's blog and play along...must go and see how many desks I can visit today harder than you think Cheers and happy crafting
Merry Christmas Bow
How Charming
Another Christmas card for my stash using two blog challenges. Merry Monday#73 - to include Red, Green and Kraft with either ribbon, twine or burlap. And at Winter Wonderland this week - to include a Charm....I don't have too many Christmas charms but found this little gold bell. Friend Vikki sent me the die cut holly branch so I inked and embossed it to give it a shine and I think just finished off the card. Thanks for taking a peekMonday, 2 September 2013
Male Happy Birthday
Today I'm trying to catch up with a few cards I need this month as I'm going to be away from my desk for the next 4 weeks. Thanks to friend Vikki for her inspiration on the weekend to dig out my Distress Inks again and here I've made the background for my hubby's card - just sponged and blended horizontal layers of lots of different inks on water colour card and flicked on a few drops of water as it dried. I've made this card for the Inspired by Stamping August Challenge - Masculine. Thanks for taking a peek
