What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday?

Big midweek HELLO to all you WOYWW #246 peepers and do hope you're having an enjoyable week.
My desk is pretty neat this week as I've just returned home from visiting my kids and granddaughter while my hubby was inter-state on business.
I do have some new acquisitions on my desk though....on the left a video storage box which is big enough to store my embossing folders, so eager as, first thing this morning I emptied them from the plastic sleeves in a two ringed binder and yeah they all fit beautifully and I have many more than I thought - hope this new storage means they'll get used more. Also on the desk are some clear A5 pockets to add to my collection where I store my clear stamp sets, I just punch a couple of holes and into an A5 folder they go; I need two more folders it seems. In the last pic you can see the hard plastic containers the embossing folders and some stamps come in...I use them as paint palettes, and a card in envelope ready to be addressed to my Card Chain recipient in the USA. If you're a visitor and wondering why I am rambling on so...pop over to Julias blog and you'll see there's a heap of us Wednesday bloggers sharing our desks.

And lastly here's my gorgeous 3 1/2 month old GD, Sophie

Happy Thoughts ..coming your way

I really liked the colours and design of this inspirational pic from CASE Study #178 - and so I speedily put this card together with only 30 minutes to close.. I'm really happy with my stamped background and the finished card.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Happy Birthday

A quick bright birthday card from me this afternoon using the themes from the Paper Player PP#83 - Stars, and Just Add Ink #202 - Stripes and the colours from Just Us Girls JUGS#228.

Our Beautiful World: Week 33 - Derelict

I'm playing along this week 33 with Our Beautiful World
I took this photo in Tasmania, December 2013 in a little town called Oust....now with my next pic I have a question...Can a living thing be 'derelict'...these poor sheep certainly appear derelict to me!!

What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday 245

Big hello WOYWW #245 snoopers...and thanks for dropping by. Amazingly my room and desk is still pretty tidy after last weeks Big clean-up...yippee!!  And in the center of the desk are a couple of distress ink panels I've made with  my newly arrived DI - see the little stack of 5 at the back with a notepad next to them with the next list of colours I can choose from...I love working with them.  Also on the left is a blue stencil I'm cutting freehand and some try out sheets where I've been experimenting with different textures and inks on my Gelli plate....yes Vikki and I actually made our first page for a sort of life journal - we've seen lots of WOYWW bloggers using their Gelli plates so we thought we'd have a go - we've a lot to learn - I've made a new tab at the top of my page if you're interested to look. Also last week while blog hopping I saw where Sandy#32 had used a mug tree on her desk for storing her scissors and tapes and I was so taken with this idea that I've got myself one from the Op shop and lucky for me also a card display tree ($1) and a cruet holder that I wrapped some colourful paper around and there attached also that missing daisy which I found 3 days later in my bag of black ribbons.

If you're wondering why I'm raving on about my desk....if you check out Julias blog you'll find lots of other crafty people doing the same, it's great fun sharing and interesting to read what others are up to all over the world.  The weather's beautiful here in sunny Queensland, Australia and  I'll be off now to blog hop some desk. Cheers and happy crafting Robyn

You and Me

SOS #137: Love Me Tender

Hubby and I don't really go in for the Valentines Day thing but as he's going to be away working I thought I'd just make him a card ... just to let him know how much I love him.
For the CASology Week 81 challenge  we need to use the word - AND and Shopping Our Stash #137 the theme is Love.

Love and Best Wishes

I've seen some beautiful card done with the white embossing and colouring on kraft coloured paper...so thought that the palette at Color Throwdown ctd#278 would maybe work for this technique. I've teamed it with the layout at CAS(E) this Sketch CTS#63.  I think the beautiful stamp from Chocolate Baroque is lovely on this card, Thanks for taking a peek  Robyn

Happy Birthday

My first card from my desk today where it's cool, overcast and drizzly outside, so the sunlight isn't wonderful for taking photos. Anyway, I've used the layout at Retro Sketches rs#100...where they are celebrating their 100th challenge, go girls I love your sketches.  The colours I've used today are my own combination taken from the centre dp piece...I'm really liking the result.

21st Birthday

Hi there this afternoon, I decided to play along with the Mojo Monday #331 sketch challenge....and wow I've created a male birthday card, I made it a 21st but could easily alter this to suit any age.  I dry embossed the numbers panel and the medallion and sanded them to highlight the embossing. I'm quite happy with my colour combination too.
