Twelve Tags of Christmas

I enjoyed a few hours stamping with my friend on Saturday and completed a few more tags for Lolls, Twelve Tags of Christmas, Day 2.
Again I used the girls tags as inspiration - Lolls gorgeous reindeer tag had me using this reindeer die cut and swirly sprig which I mounted on a background made with Brushos dotted with glitter glue. Torn white card layers for the snow and a bow for the deer and ribbon ties.
Kathy made a tag using a die cut tree - so here is my version  - I mounted the tree over a Brushos coloured background decorated with star stencil and coloured texture paste.  I added gold glitter to the large star and to form a base for the tree. Finished off with some white embossed sentiments and a tinsel tie.

Twelve tags of Christmas

As soon as I saw this challenge  - Twleve Tags of Christmas - at Lolls blog I wanted to play along - so in between lots of other things happening at our place I have started making a few tags...just totally CASing Loll and Shirley's tags on Day One.
I don't own a Tree die so had to draw and freehand cut this one before running it through the cuttlebug with the swirls EF. I stenciled some dots over the Distree inked background and finished with a die cut sentiment and matching bow.

I just loved Shirley's tag and searched out some corrugated card, tore slabs off and inked it was Distress Inks, white paint and dribbles of Dimensional Magic. I made the pine cones using a flower die cut and layered them over some scrunched tulle, dotted with glitter glue and a die cut sprig. Also finished off with a bow and stamped sentiment.  I am also posting to Happy Little Stampers Christmas November challenge - Tag.  Thanks for taking a peek

Friday Smiles

Week 144 at Annie's Friday Smiles
I saw this cartoon on FB today, a friend in Scotland posted it...so I borrowed it because it of course I'm so stoked about Mia Jayne being home and settling in with big sister Sophie.
Other than that I'm smiling because I've been wanting a sink with a drainage board for ages as I don't want/have a dishwasher... and Wednesday hubby and I went shopping and bought a new stove top, oven AND sink.   Who would think a kitchen sink could have someone so happy???
Have you had a wonderful week and have something to share that has made you smile? - then pop over to Annies blog and join in.  Cheers

 Share a smile...

What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday?

So I've missed a few weeks posting to Julia's world wide "share a pic of your desk, Wednesday"
Here's my desk today... I haven't been to the craftavan for any card making for ages and as my absences is due to our daughter presenting us with a beautiful little grand daughter last Thursday, I figured I'd best make some time to create a Baby Girl card...you'd think I'd have been prepared having had 9 months to attend to this (and with them knowing they were having a girl), but no - too busy with a 2 year old birthday and helping with preparations with the nursery set up and digging in my garden.
On my work pad you can see I'm fashioning a baby dress card (see little pencil sketch) and deciding what colour to make the card.  At the back are some cards in progress.  Now I've just discovered I've left my guillotine at our daughter home...so of course that won't be a bother to collect tomorrow - as I'll get to see baby Mia again and have more cuddles...isn't she just the cutest baby
Thanks for dropping by my desk, why not pop over to Julia's blog and join in the fun. Do hope you have a wonderful week. Cheers

Sending You a Smile

Life has been a turmoil this month as we celebrated Sophies 2nd birthday and waited the arrival of our second grand daughter.

But I did manage to make my card for the Society of Stampaholics Card Chain challenge using the colours and layout and even the cat theme. I was so distracted that I had to ask Marga my card recipient to send me a photo as I'd mailed it off without taking one - thank you Marga.  Thanks for taking a peek
