Twelve Tags of Christmas

Two more tags I made today for Lolls Twelve Tags of Christmas challenge.  I loved her Christmas tree made with rolls of paper (on Day 5)  but decided to use my swirly die tree. I cut a tree from a spotty tissue box and also from red card stock and have fashioned two tags from the positive and negative of the diecuts. The spotty one fitted nicely into the red frame and then layered onto blue card - which also showed through. I added a few pearls and a silver embossed sentiment.
For the second tag, the red tree looks great on this green stenciled background to which I added some white embossed icicles and an embossed sentiment.
Again I am also posting to Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge - Tags.

Twelve Tags of Christmas

I have been having fun playing along with Loll and her Twelve Tags of Christmas challenge... I made this tag as I just love the crazy birds and was inspired by Nancy one of the Day 5 guests. I just happen to have a santa hat stamp which suits ok with this bird, I coloured him to look like a Robin, with Distress Inks and even gave him a slight grin. Finished with a simple sentiment and tinsel tie.

And on Day 6 there was a 'bright' colour theme featuring wreaths -  so I stamped a wreath and used circle dies to cut it, then stamped an extra bow and a sentiment banner and mounted it on striped DP and onto an embossed background.

Twelve Tags of Christmas

For my fifthth tag for Lolls Twleves Tags of Christmas - I just had to CASE  Jules gorgeous tag from day 2.... I used a cream tag, embossed Christmas script in white and sponged Distress Ink randomly over it then used a stencil to add more depth. I made a Poinsettia flower in white and sponged the edges and layered it over die cut a holly sprig. To finish I added a die cut 'Merry" and stamped 'Christmas' and tied on some ribbons.
My sixth tag is a version of this last one...for the background I used old sheet music which I painted over with a mix of white gel paint and sepia Dimensional Magic. Finished my tag with a green ribbon bow and lovely script 'Joy'.

I am also posting my card to Happy Little Stamper November Christmas challenge - Tag.

Twelve Tags of Christmas

I enjoyed a few hours stamping with my friend on Saturday and completed a few more tags for Lolls, Twelve Tags of Christmas, Day 2.
Again I used the girls tags as inspiration - Lolls gorgeous reindeer tag had me using this reindeer die cut and swirly sprig which I mounted on a background made with Brushos dotted with glitter glue. Torn white card layers for the snow and a bow for the deer and ribbon ties.
Kathy made a tag using a die cut tree - so here is my version  - I mounted the tree over a Brushos coloured background decorated with star stencil and coloured texture paste.  I added gold glitter to the large star and to form a base for the tree. Finished off with some white embossed sentiments and a tinsel tie.

Twelve tags of Christmas

As soon as I saw this challenge  - Twleve Tags of Christmas - at Lolls blog I wanted to play along - so in between lots of other things happening at our place I have started making a few tags...just totally CASing Loll and Shirley's tags on Day One.
I don't own a Tree die so had to draw and freehand cut this one before running it through the cuttlebug with the swirls EF. I stenciled some dots over the Distree inked background and finished with a die cut sentiment and matching bow.

I just loved Shirley's tag and searched out some corrugated card, tore slabs off and inked it was Distress Inks, white paint and dribbles of Dimensional Magic. I made the pine cones using a flower die cut and layered them over some scrunched tulle, dotted with glitter glue and a die cut sprig. Also finished off with a bow and stamped sentiment.  I am also posting to Happy Little Stampers Christmas November challenge - Tag.  Thanks for taking a peek

Friday Smiles

Week 144 at Annie's Friday Smiles
I saw this cartoon on FB today, a friend in Scotland posted it...so I borrowed it because it of course I'm so stoked about Mia Jayne being home and settling in with big sister Sophie.
Other than that I'm smiling because I've been wanting a sink with a drainage board for ages as I don't want/have a dishwasher... and Wednesday hubby and I went shopping and bought a new stove top, oven AND sink.   Who would think a kitchen sink could have someone so happy???
Have you had a wonderful week and have something to share that has made you smile? - then pop over to Annies blog and join in.  Cheers

 Share a smile...
