What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday?

Hi there this afternoon as I join in to share a pic of my desk with the WOYWW#344 post.  Julia hosts this crazy post every week and if you'd like to join in pop over to her blog and read all about it.

This week I've been playing along with Inspired by Stamping 30 day challenge on FB.  So this is my desk this afternoon after finishing my 'penguin' page. I use those plastic stamp packaging as my paint pallets, and there's my stack of masks I needed to make this page and my paint brushes and water jar. I think I might also need to turn over a new page on my work pad..  Following are pics of the pages I've made so far...just quick works with no procrastinating .

Quiet Moments

I'm not so sure about me and one layer cards...I masked off the edges and watercoloured the 'sky' and foreground with Distress Inks (and of course the paper is now all warped, must try to find some just for my attempts at watercolouring) But anyway I chose this 'cute' stamp as my image as there is nothing nicer than taking some time out to watch at colourful sky evolve. Distress Ink background and Silhouettes

Today I am posting to a new challenge friends Vikkis' and I have found.... Stamp Ink Paper; Challenge #28 - Anything but Christmas.  I've been experimenting with Distress Inks for backgrounds and these bright firey ones are my first attempts.... I'm really pleased how they turned out.  Now I'm going to have to grow my solid scenery stash of stamps.  I created the grassy bits with the very edge of the tree stamp on the first one.  Thanks for taking a peek

Happy Birthday

I have used the sketch at Fusion Card Challenge-Season's Greetings. I chose to have a spell from Christmas cards and am adding to my depleted stock of Birthday cards.  I used an oval die to create the frame on this Distress Inked background and the stamped and coloured my bird and added a few die cut branches and gems.  Thanks for taking a peek, and Happy New Year

I've been trying out those brush stroke washes I'm seeing about lots - I'll get the hang of it.

These two I've made for ColourQ cCc#322 -with the theme Black, Coastal Cabana and Gold.

What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday - week 343

Oh wow it's been quite a while since my last WOYWW post, just been busy and not at my desk.

So here's a pic of my desk this afternoon...yep I've not been there today either... but... I have been out at my friend Vikki's for a session today - a well needed escape from the house and some me time.

I made a few cards, and have been experimenting with some Distress Ink backgrounds for silhouette images. 

And here's a few others I created for some blog challenges that I still need to post.

As this is the last Wednesday for 2015, I'd like to wish you all a Very Happy New Year and may 2016 be a healthy, safe and prosperous one for you and your families... and hope to see you on WOYWW, sharing you desks, mess and creative projects.  Cheers
