Laugh as much as you Breathe

Another WOP finished this afternoon... difficult to photograph though... the red is really crimson pink and the blue -teal... never mind.  I had some fun last week with mini canvases and heating drawing ink and metallic pearl paint which bubbles up and creates great texture. To finish this card I added a scribble die cut and stamped sentiment.  I am joining in again at CAS Mix Up Feb challenge - Felt, Cork and Canvas.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Hello, Sunshine

Today I had a chance to finish off some works in progress but you know how it is sometimes you get inspired and before you know it you've got another work in progress.  Well this card is one from the first pile of WOPs... My background panel was made with washes of Distress Oxides - love how it turned out and just right for some silhouette stamping in the foreground. To finish I added a purple card strip to hold my sentiment stamped on vellum and a die cut butterfly that I inked and embossed in clear and added a purple background to it.  I was inspired by Anita's card at Muse challenge #252 - the layout with the foliage at the bottom, overlayed with the sentiment and the butterfly.

I am also posting to Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media challenge for February - Butterfly.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

With Love

Roses, love and Valentine's Day go hand in hand and so today I have a card for someone special. I stamped, watercoloured and fussy cut my roses and then mounted them to a die cut frame backed with some DP with hearts.  To finish I used a grey card, added some sparkly gems and a die cut sentiment.  I am posting to Power Poppy's Power & Spark challenge - Love to Sparkle. Also to Just Us Girls - #426 challenge - word prompt - Love, and the Daily Marker 30  day Colouring challenge.. day 12.

Love letters....

"love is in the air" with Valentine's Day soon, so there's lots of challenges with 'hearts'.  I have turned my 'Muzzy signing a card' House Mouse stamp into a love letter card... I wonder 'Do friends write love letters' these days, actual hand written love letters or cards, that's one aspect of technology I don't like. I created the background panel with Brushos - sprinkle, spray and dab off. Then I watercoloured my image with Distress Inks and die cut the panel. And to finish I die cut a large scribble heart and a heart border, and used the cut outs for 'Muzzy' to use as stickers.
I am posting to House Mouse and Friends HMFMC#258 - option Love. Also to Shopping Our Stash - He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not,  Happy Little Stampers Feb Watercolour challenge - optional twist: Heart and CAS-UAL Fridays CFC192 - Hearts, Hearts and more Hearts.

For You..

This afternoon I have a card using the layout from The Paper Players PP37 sketch challenge, and a little bit of colouring after my messy paint session. I used Brushos to watercolour my stamped image, then found this bright background DP and die cut some leaves. I used a stitched tag die to cut around my stamped sentiment.
I am now quite a few days behind in the 30 Colouring Challenge - here is my day 10 effort, but I simply love the helpful gorgeous colouring Kathy is sharing with us.

Home is wherever I'm with You

oh wow there's been some messy paint play on my desk this morning  - after I read the CAS Mix Up challenge for February - Felt, Cork or Canvas, I really thought this is going to be difficult and interesting - but then realised I had this Canvas Pad in my stash and was further encouraged when I saw DT Loll had used canvas also.  I couldn't view the video lead from her blog so this is my messy interpretation.  I used drops of Drawing Ink in magenta and turquoise and metallic pearl white Folk Art paint and then heated with my heatgun till it bubbled and mixed so much so that my panel is more purple - hence also the panel has areas of texture.  I finished my card with a stamped sentiment and die cut heart.
