Thinking of You

Today my card is for Penny Black Saturday challenge - Anything Goes... my option - Chocolate Brown..... tricky for me as I don't really use browns.. anyway I challenged myself and came up with inking my PD Fuschsia stamp with Versafine brown ink and then added a slight touch of colour to the highlight areas of the leaves and flowers. I sponged the cream panel edges with brown and then added a brown frame before attaching it to the designer paper background in neutral browns, and used a chocolate brown card.  I am also posting my card to The Flower Challenge #18 - Anything Goes.

PBSC March - Anything Goes...Optional 'Easter or Chocolate Brown'

Happy Wishes

For my tulip scene card I have used the lovely colours at Power Poppy's Hues to Use this week.  I did a fair bit of masking and stamping and water coloured my flowers with a mix of left over inks on my plastic palette. Then sponged in some sky and stamped some background bushes and a tree branch.  I framed it up and added a raised stamped sentiment.
I am also posting to Watercooler Wednesday - Anything Goes - Feminine, also Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Girl Power, and Addicted to Stamps and More - Make your mark.

Queen Anne Lace..

The theme of my card today was influenced by the Inspired by All the Little Things challenge #81 - the flowers and bottles and shells. I decided to give stamping on acetate a go for the CAS Mix Up March challenge - Acetate - my elements are stamping and heat embossing, acetate and die cuts, water colouring.
I stamped my vase in aqua ink and heat embossed it with clear EP and then die cut the image. I stamped my flowers in two coloured inks - light green ink with clear EP and white ink and white EP. and fussy cut them. I did the same for the shells in different shades of ink and clear EP and added a few touches of watercolour to them. I arranged them on the card with a soft background and used the shells and coloured twine to assist with adhering the vase in place.

Oh, Christmas tree

My first Christmas card for the year...so my stash begins.
I stamped this tree in green ink and sprinkled Egyptian Gold embossing powder on only part of it - it's not just a flat gold when heated and there are tiny spots of gold over the green -very glittery.  To go with the shiny theme I used a gold embossed sentiment and two tone star, then layered the top panel onto gold and green metallic paper.  I am posting to Watercooler Wednesday WWC159 - All About Christmas challenge.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your week

Best Wishes

A quick card from me this afternoon, using some 'experiments' from my stash.  The background was created with Distress Oxides and the stamped image water coloured with Distress Inks.  My stamped sentiment completes my card using the layout this week at Freshly Mades Sketches #326.

Another year flies by...

I have a 'nature' card today and some of my favourite flowers...waterlilies, but I was prompted to use my frog stamp as well because so thankfully it's been raining here and the frogs are in full voice - I love it.  I stamped and embossed these lily leaves some time ago so water coloured them with Distress Oxides, created a pond and sponged some sky.  Then stamped, water coloured my frog and fussy cut him out.... he came with a set including the tiny fly and sentiment which suits fabulously.  I popped my frog up with some foam tape also my sentiment die cut as a speech bubble.
