May All Your Wishes Come True

This card is inspired by Anita's lovely card (below) for this weeks Muse challenge #260.  I love her colours and the large floral stencil....so not having a stencil I decided to sponge through my new die - I think next time I might cut a stencil to see if I might get a better sponged affect.  I stamped my sentiment and layered it on matching card.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day
ps As this is a Stamplorations die and am adding it to their Never-ending Anything Goes challenge

Just for You

I stamped these flowers in reverse, starting with the red centers because I wanted to get the black outline to show.... I did a bit of masking and drew on the stems with marker.  Then some more masking to added my stamped red hatching along the left side and finally stamped the sentiment. Framed my stamped panel with red onto a black card.   I have used the layout at Freshly Made Sketches #331 and the colour palette from Shopping Our Stash SOS34 - Black, White and my colour Red.   Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Happy Birthday

Well I'm over the moon with my new die and have had some fun and experimenting with it today. This card is for the April challenge at Stamplorations... focus on Sentiments.  So I kept the background to just two shades of apricot and decided to leave some of the die cut pieces in place as I removed the card from the die, so I quickly added some glue so as not to lose any more bits and adhered it to some darker hand made texture paper.  Then all it needed was a white card base and a stamped sentiment in black on white so it would 'pop' on the card... I used a stitched die to frame it.  I am also posting to Stamplorations Never Ending challenge. And also to Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Birthday where they are celebrating their 9th Birthday - well done, congratulations and party on team.

Simon Says: Happy Birthday!

Friends are the Sunshine of Life

What a lovely surprise to find that my CAS Mix Up card - using the Rubber Band Technique was also appropriate for the CAS Watercolour April challenge - Bird theme.....which must be a thing at the moment as we've just erected a bird bath in the back garden.  For my background I used a yellow alcohol ink coloured panel and with rubber bands around my acrylic blocks I stamped in Versamark and embossed with Pearl Gold... I twisted the block and got sort stuttery lines... I like the effect, so I took a photo incase I covered it all up.  Then I stamped my bird in brown ink and used Distress Oxides to water colour the image and fussy cut  it out.  The yellow panel was too stark against the white card so I added a green strip to help bring out the colours in the bird. I die cut a branch, then stamped and embossed my sentiment.  My elements for CAS Mix Up - rubber band stamping, stamping, heat embossing, fussy cutting, die cuts and water colouring.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Merry Christmas

My sentiment tag for this card came about with me experimenting and it did not work...so I used the stitched tag die to cut out the gold embossed sentiment to add to my dry embossed 'gift'  to which I simple added some ribbon wrapping. To finish I added my tagged gift to a matching card.  I am playing along at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown March Technique challenge 52CCT12-18 - Embossing.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Birthday Wishes

Some time to myself today and I've watercoloured this Power Poppy Orchid, using the colour palette from Power Poppy Hues to Use - Maroon, Salmon Pink and Olive Green.  I also used the layout at Freshly Made Sketches FMS#330.  I fussy cut my image and in my stash found a strip of Distress Oxides for the background. I decided to add a die cut scribble behind my image which I mounted with foam tape.  Then to finish stamped my sentiment on a die cut label and sponged the edge.  I used a spotty embossing folder to change the card base from just plain and I really like how it has come up.  I am also playing along with Happy Little Stampers April Watercolour challenge - Anything Goes and Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day
