Two wine bottle cards

This month really had me thinking about a 'Beverage' theme for the July #7 Twofer Card Challenge.  I finally settled on a small stamp featuring a wine bottle and two glasses.

I made a Birthday card and a Friendship one.
For my birthday card I stamped two girl friends, and did some paper piecing and minimal colouring and fussy cut them.... the same for my wine bottle and glasses.  Then I chose this old brayered background from my stash and even found this wonky frame leftover from a square die cut and positioned the girls behind it.  Lastly I stamped my sentiments and arranged them in place with foam tape.

On my second card I used a stamp with a little vineyard scene - stamped and water coloured with Distress Inks on my back panel.  Then I stamped my picnic basked of goodies, coloured these and fussy cut them out.  I stamped on my sentiments, and dry embossed a frame and layered the card on a teal background.  To finish I arranged the items in the basket and attached it with foam tape.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

Happy Birthday

Today I am finishing off a couple cards I started over the weekend - you know those ones you're not sure if they work or not, so come back later.  This is my Black and White and One other colour - Pink for the Rubber Dance July challenge and or Wings/Feathers...  I dry embossed the back panel and used Hickory Smoke Distress Ink to brayer over the reverse side...so my embossing is recessed.  Then I stamped my sentiment on white card and added a fine pink layer behind.  To finish I added to die cut swirls in black and a pink feathered glittery mask.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Happy Birthday

I used alcohol inks on gloss card to create this background and then used a stitched balloon die to cut 6 balloons... just for Addicted to Stamped and More who are celebrating their 6th Birthday and 300 challenges - definitely something to cheer about.  I tied black thread to each balloon and used Dimensional Magic to keep the bows in place. Then I dry embossed my background panel and stamped my sentiment on a stitched die cut tag and used foam tape to attach my elements.  I am also playing along with CAS Mix Up July challenge - colour your Die-cuts - Alcohol Inks, stamping and my choice is dry embossing, die cuts.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Have a Great Day...

This year I have really stepped it up making masculine birthday cards which is cool because they seem to be a lot less involved... Today I have used one of my recently made Twinkling H2O water wash backgrounds and added a stamped dragonfly, then attached my fish - stamped on gloss card and coloured with H2Os - he looks all shiny just like a fish would jumping out of the water.  To finish I added a couple of die cut reeds and a stamped sentiment on a strip.  I am playing along with Challenge #89 at The Male Room - Fish and also at Watercooler Wednesday WWC178 - Crystal's "All About Occasions" challenge and also the Muse card challenge #274 - inspired by Tracey's card - my elements are waterwash background, "fins"
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend

Best Wishes

Here I am with my second card today.....  for The Card Concept #9 challenge...inspirational photo Golden Table.  I love the colours in the photo and the gold... so I did some masking and stamped my image along the bottom of my card and used Distress Oxides to watercolour them.  Then I mixed some of my gold powders together with water to achieve a glitter gold wash background to the flowers...had trouble photographing this card.  I added a bit more gold with a frame and die cut sentiment and arranged these on a cream card.  I think my style is Classy and Elegant.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

Happy Birthday

A new month already and some more monthly challenges to be inspired.... my first one is for a left handed person - lol, no really I finished it all off before I realized I'd attached it all to the wrong side...so I'll cut it off and trim it to fit another card base.
I'm playing along with the July CAS Watercolour challenge - 'Splash Watercolouring'.  I created my background strip with Distress Inks - using a loaded paint brush to flick colour blobs of Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber and Twisted Citron onto a plastic sheet and then laying the white card onto this- the bigger blobs spread and joined up but there are lots of small splashes of colour.
Then I stamped my poppy image, watercoloured it with DI and fussy cut it out.  To finish I added a matching card strip and used foam tape to add depth. Finally stamped my sentiment on a die cut stitched oval.
I am also playing along with Watercooler Wednesday WWC177 - Charlotte's Feminine "Anything Goes" challenge.   Thanks for visiting and enjoy your week

Peace on Earth

A while since I made a Christmas card.... this morning I have cased Lindsey's card at Muse: Christmas Visions 103 (below).  Her lovely CAS card really caught my eye and the modern twist on the trees - cased elements... layout, snowy landscape and starry night sky, use of DP for trees, 'peace'.  My background is  made with sponged Distress Oxides and stamped and silver embossed stars.  Then I die cut my 'hills' and found some Designer Paper with gold highlights, cut into long triangles - I inked over the 'trees' slightly in green DI.  Then as I have silver on gold on my card, I used silver and gold embossing powder on my sentiment on the bottom of my frame.
I am also playing along at Christmas Crafts All Year - theme Trees, AND Watercooler Wednesday WWC176 - Kath's "All About Christmas" challenge.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your week.

With Love

My stamped heart image is from my very old stash and the card turned out to be ok to watercolour (a relief) - I used a combination of Distress Inks and Oxides to colour it, then I fussy cut it out.  I stamped my sentiment in pink and clear embossed it and cut the ends like a label.  I found this pink stripe embossed card in my 'old' stash too and decided to go with it instead of white card and to add interest die cut a frame using two nesting dies.  I am playing along at Muse challenge #272 casing Steffi's card (below)  - elements : a heart, pink, die cut edge, stripes, sentiment within the heart.  And also joining in at AAA Cards CAS Game #118 - Use a frame.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.
