Happy Birthday

Double 'D' challenge this fortnight is 'Pop' a Wheelie ..... so I chose to die cut a bicycle and colour the frame with markers and silver gel pen.  Then I die cut a heap of mini flowers which I arranged to flow out of the basket.  I found an oval die cut in my stash and used the negative as a frame - under this I put a piece of designer paper and stamped on my sentiment.  I added a yellow frame to my tall card and used an orange card.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend

Live Life to the Full

Nice bright colours for this weeks Colour Throwdown Challenge - ctd509.... red, orange and blue.
My background panel was created with Distress Oxides and a fair bit of water misting... I dried the first colour completely before adding the second.  Then I stamped my dancing girl image and coloured her with markers and fussy cut  before adding some matching colour blocks as a frame and attaching with foam tape along with my stamped sentiment.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend

Happy Birthday

Sometimes you start out making a card with an idea in mind and then by the end of it all, it turns out so different... and that's how this card evolved.   Wasn't planning of doing any fussy cutting when I stamped my image and used Distress Oxides to water colour it.  I die cut the white panel with my painted image and it looked plain as... so I picked purple from the small flowers to add my dry embossed background and the light purple panel from an experiment I did with swiped glue and ink.  Then to finish I settled on this stamped sentiment of red, that I found in my stash - too big so I placed it sideways and that was just right - I think.  I am playing along with Watercooler Wednesday challenge WWC18- Marsha's Feminine "Anything Goes" challenge, Simon Says Monday challenge - Stamp It On ( with their Stamptember Stamping Party), Also Stamplorations - Theme and Sketch challenge - Summer Vacation - Stamps and Anything Goes, and because I've used a Stamploration stamp I am joining in their Never Ending Anything Goes challenge.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

Relax and Restore

I finished off my card this morning for the Power Poppy Creative Confetti challenge this week.- Fab Finds... and below is the supermarket catalog page that inspired my card - I focused of course on the white orchids, the white space, aqua blue towels and round dark edged mirror, and the 'relax' word for my sentiment.
I stamped my image and used colouring pencils to colour it.  Then stamped my sentiment on a round die cut and cut another circle for my frame from the same grey colour card I used to frame the front panel.  I am also playing along with The Flower Challenge #24 - Anything Goes.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend

Wishing You Happiness

Now just how long is it that I have used markers to colour my stamps........ mmm ... a long time, so it's thanks to CAS Mix Up September challenge - Ink Stamps with Markers, that I have made this card.  It's amazing that some of my marker still even work, but I managed to find three in pinkish shades to colour directly onto  my tulip stamp, added a couple of deep huffing breaths to the stamp (as we did years ago) and stamped onto white card.... this I cut with a stitched rectangle die and added a fine pink card to frame it.  Then I decided to stamp another tulip and fussy cut it to add so off the panel interest.  To finish I used a light grey card (because all the white and cream cards didn't sit well with the colour of my panel) and stamped on my sentiment in black ink.  My elements are - inking stamps with markers, stamping, die cuts and fussy cutting.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Happy Birthday

The visit with my lovely mum is over - she's back down south to the cold weather and I'm back to business at my desk.... today I'm joining in with challenges from Just Add Ink #424 - Texture and Shopping Our Stash SOS#369 -Quit buggin' me!
I just love how my background circle turned out.... created with Brushos and misting with medium amount of water and when that was totally dry ran it through the Cuttlebug with this cool flower and butterfly EF.  Then I swiped the raised embossing with Versamark and glitttery gold EP (Egyptian Gold) - it's like a rich textured brocade. ... finally die cut my circle.
I decided to die cut a butterfly in glitter gold and removed a few of the tiny wing pieces and backed that shape with gold yellow card.... I added some glitter glue to the yellow bits.
to finish I scored a frame around the card front, added a matching card strip and used foam tape to attached my circle, butterfly and stamped sentiment.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your week
