Merry Christmas

A very quick Christmas card from me today to help get my mojo working and to join in the challenge at ABC Christmas - 'U' and 'V' .  Also playing along at Watercooler Wednesday WWC193 - Tristan's "All About Holidays" challenge and Rudolph Days October challenge - Anything Goes.
I die cut my sentiment in metallic red card, then chose a page from one of my Christmas DP pads and cut it in half... so I ended up with a longer horizontal card.  Found some brown card to match for my card base and a strip of green because it was too light across the bottom and assembled it all with a few gens to finish.... now to make another card with the DP cut off.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

ps  here's my second card using the bottom off cut from the DP

Merry Christmas

Some lovely DP paper to co-ordinate with the sparkly aqua die cut sentiment.  I'm using the layout at CAS(E) this Sketch #CTS 294 challenge.  To finish I added a mini stamped sentiment and a punched silver star with a gem to tie in with the stars in the DP.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Happy Birthday

I used the sketch at Just Add Ink #431 for my layout on this card and kept it Clean and Simple for the Addicted to Stamps and More #314 challenge.  I stamped my bear in brown ink and used Distress Oxides to water colour her, then fussy cut the image.  I used an inked embossing folder to create my horizontal strip and some peachy pink paper for the accents.  To finish I stamped my sentiment on a strip and used foam tape to mount it and the bear to the card.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Best Wishes

From my pre-stamped stash I found these gum leaves and gum nuts..which I water coloured with Distress Oxides and then fussy cut it out.  As it was a small image I die cut some gum leaves in white card to mount behind the image.  To finish the card I stamped on my sentiment.  I am playing along with Addicted to CAS #14 - Foliage.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

Hello Friend

Blue, Green and Purple are the colours for week #463 at Just Us Girls... and I have used grey and white as my neutral colours.  I stamped the image in black on grey card and used Distress Oxides to colour the image...two tones of green and purple and then a smidge of blue in the background.  I added some white gel spots and to finish a stamped sentiment.  I layered the panel on white and purple on a white card to enhance the colours on the grey.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

Best Wishes

Today I have mixed a couple of DP papers with my large flower using the sketch at Just Add Ink #431 challenge.  Stamped my flower in Versamark on watercolour card and clear embossed it, then added a watercolour wash with Distress Inks and fussy cut it out. Haven't done this kind of mix for ages... grey, green and dusty pink - to finish I added a stamped sentiment.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

Just for You

A cream square card with some layers to display my stamped image, and following along with Julie's sketch for the Power Poppy Creative Confetti challenge. Stamped my image in weathered wood Distress Ink and used them also to watercolour it.  Then die cut my circle and then a scalloped circle to frame it.  To finish I added a bow and mini tag with my stamped sentiment.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend

Merry Christmas

This wood mounted stamp is quite tall and actually has two more birds perched in the tree, but with the help of my Misti I nearly got it lined up to stamp the bottom two birds and then the top one which you'll notice is a wee bit chubbier and so the tree leans to the right.  Anyway I was happy with it and used my Distress Inks to watercolour it.  To finish I stamped my mini sentiment and used foam tape to raise it and attached the panel to a white card.  I am playing along with CAS Christmas October challenge - Birds.   Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Best Wishes on your Birthday

Ok this week in between other duties, I've been mucking about with 'metal' elements again... I ripped the foil cover off the new butter tub and that's where this evolve from.  Very thin but stuck some double sided tape onto the gold side (writing on there) and the thicker plasticy ripoff layer helped hold it together when I ran it through the Cuttlebug.  I used an embossing die to impress the foil and then cut it out with a circle die.  Then from my stash I pulled out this gorgeous aqua and brown piece - Versamark sponged through a stencil (gone wrong, stencil too fine) and clear embossed then sponged with Distress Inks.  Then I decided to die cut a circle of aqua glitter card to go behind the metal feature and to finish added a matching gem.  Arranged onto a white card with a stamped sentiment layered onto a brown strip.  I am playing along at CAS Mix Up October challenge - Metal : my elements are Metal, dry embossing, stamping, die cuts, watercolour and heat embossing. I am also joining in with Watercooler Wednesday WWC192 - Marsha's Masculine "Anything Goes" challenge.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Have a Wonderful Birthday

Lastly today I have a Sunflower card... the theme at The Card Concept #99 challenge.
I masked the corner of my front panel and stamped on my sunflower and embossed with gold EP.  Then I coloured the image with pencils and the smudged in the background blue... did you ever use a piece of blotting paper to smudge pencil colouring - I did way in school and then I found some blotting paper while tidying up my craft cupboard last week... it gives a lovely finish and you can fade it nicely.  I used a golden yellow to frame the panel onto a blue card and then to finish stamped my sentiment in blue and added a gold flower trinket and bow.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Hope your Birthday is Special

Beautiful day here, sun shining and lovely cool breeze and I can see from my craft window the birds are building a nest under our eaves... Spring time.  So it's interesting to join in challenges celebrating Autumn... CAS Watercolour are also celebrating their second Birthday... congratulations ladies, thanks for all the inspiration.  So speaking Orange Brown and Green are the colours for the October CAS Watercolour challenge.  I stamped my image with Weathered Wood Distress Ink to give a soft outline and then used Distress Inks in the three colours to watercolour the image, ending with a soft brown background.  For a change I decided to die cut a circle on my card front and display my image behind it.  To finish I stamped on my sentiment.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.
