Seasons Greetings

Today I have my version of Faux Stained Glass for the CAS Mix Up March challenge.
I saw where Bonnie one of the CAS Mix Up team had used an alcohol ink background for her lovely stained glass window... First I die cut this Christmas partridge and thought to put a panel behind it and use a shape to act as the window. Sso I set out to make a panel using alcohol inks using red, pink and yellow and a spritz of Colour Mist shine.  Then I wondered how Dimensional Magic would work on this panel, so I die cut a circle and spread the DM all over leaving a narrow edge and then carefully squooshed my die cut into the DM and let it dry.  It worked a treat, it's really glossy ... with only a few air pockets that I later touched up.  Next I die cut a smaller circle in my front panel and stamped and gold embossed my sentiment.  Assembled all the layers and then glued a second die cut in place over the top.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping.

ps  I just noticed my pears are hanging sideways so there must be a breeze blowing....

Tagging Special Hugs for You Friend

Here again with a tag card... for three challenges
Back to Basics and Beyond challenge #23 - Tic Tac Toe - I'm using the left column Pink, Tag, Twine.
AAA Cards CAS #135 - One Plus Three - Stamped sentiment, Die cut, Inked stencil pattern and one matted layer - also Optional Twist - Friend
Time Out challenge celebrating their 5 years with challenge #131 - Hugs, Kisses and a Lot of Birthday Wishes.... I focused on Hugs.
I sponged pink Distress Oxide through my stencil onto a die cut tag, used my small lettering set to stamp my sentiment and die cut the 'hugs' from silver glitter cardstock. To finish I matted the tag to a pink background, added twine and a gem.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it.... happy card making.

Keep Calm and put the Kettle on

Today I am using a free digi stamp kindly shared by Shery at Stamplorations - thank you Shery.
I printed the image and used Distress Oxides inks to water colour it - I think it came out really nicely and is so nice for any occasion..... I made this one for sharing a cuppa with a friend.
The Stamplorations March Theme & Sketch challenge - the theme is coffee/tea and lucky I stamped my sentiment and used a double stitched circle die to cut it out.

I will also add my card to the Stamplorations Never Ending challenge - Anything Goes.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy card making

Two cards featuring Balloons

The theme for the March challenge #14 at Twofer Card Challenge is - Balloons
I thought I might go with Hot Air Balloons and have created a birthday card and a "Hi" card.

I used stencils and Distress Oxide inks to sponge in my background.  Then stamped and used DO to watercolour my Hot Air Balloons and fussy cut them out.  To finish I stamped on my sentiment and used foam tape to attach my balloons.

For my second card I sponged in my blue background using DO inks and masking off the bottom which I then reversed the mask and dragged red and orange DO pads across to form the 'table'.  I used a stamp to add a diamond pattern - sort of eastern oriental, on which to display my "Genie Lamp" - I watercoloured the hot air balloon, fussy cut it and then added Dimensional Magic to give it a glassy finish. Then I added some white metallic paint with scrunched up plastic wrap and stamped a swirl over it and heat embossed with silver EP.   To Finish I stamped on my 'wish' sentiment and then 'birthday' sentiment on a thin strip of white card and assembled the elements using foam tape on the 'bottle'.

Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy card making

Happy Birthday

Today some more watercolouring with Distress Oxide inks on my stamped Azalea image - in yellow shades... for the Rainbow Card challenge #3 - Yummy Yellow.  I die cut the panel with a stitched die and layered it with bright yellow and a piece from my stash (inked pieced of flyscreen and brayered onto card).   Then to finish added my stamped sentiment and used parts of a stitched die frame to cut it out.
I am also playing along at The Flower challenge #30 - Anything Goes.

Have a Great Day

I die cut a long rectangle in the front panel to display my bright 'ghosted' piece - sponged and blended Distress Inks - Twisted Citron and Mermaid Lagoon and then lay my sentiment and spritzed with water, quickly lifted the stencil and let it dry.  I was then muffed about how to use it and thought it looked like tyre tread marker so stamped and embossed my car image and used Twinkling H2Os to give it a racy metallic finish.  I popped it up with foam tape also my stamped sentiment.
I am playing along at CAS Stencil March challenge - Ghosting Technique and also at The Male Room challenge #106 - Gorgeous Greens.
