CAS Stencil June challenge

A big welcome to the June CAS Stencil challenge
and our host this month is Linda as host challenging us to use
Perfect Pearls / Pearl-Ex (shimmer pigment powders)

Well I've had some fun this month using shiny pigment powders with stencils  (I have just a few Lindy's Magical Micas and Pearl Ex) .... with some not so creative efforts but I did figure out that the powders I have didn't really make an impact for me so I decided to sponge on some ink, then Versamark and finally dusting with the powders...see below - first pic -- top flower inked with DI and bottom one with the addition on Versamark and a yellow shade mica for the petals, pink for the center and green on the stem.  In the bottom pic I added a gold Pearl Ex to the petals so the two flowers are slightly different.  To finish my card I stamped and die cut my sentiment and a section of foam sheet to lift the sentiment and used a stitched die cut panel larger than my image piece to give it a frame and used a burnt orange card.

Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it and hope you can pop over to the CAS Stencil blog, see the fabulous stenciled cards the DT have created and join in with our challenge.

Have a Beautiful Day

This is my May card sent to Janet in Mauritius for the Card Chain challenge.... I used the sketch and colours for my card.  For my main image I mixed red and green  Distress Oxide ink with gelmedium and applied through a rose stencil. Then before the ink was dry I quickly sprinkled on glittery embossing powder and heat set this....then roughly cut out my rose and leaves.  I arranged some yellow and green card strips with an edge of die cut lace across the bottom of a white card, lightly sponged yellow around where the rose would sit and stamped and embossed my sentiment in red... then attached my rose/leaves with foam tape.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it... happy card making.

Merry Christmas

Sometimes it's fun and relaxing to make a card with no stamping and so today I have a CAS card using an embossing folder and die cuts....all white with maroon.  I embossed the white background panel, die cut my sentiment.. in maroon metallic paper and with the accompanying die to shadow in white and attached this with foam tape to the card... then to finish I added a die cut tree with maroon pearls for decoration.  I am playing along with Jingle Belles challenge - Text Me. Also Watercooler Wednesday WWC223 - Anything Goes Challenge, and The Holly and Ivy Christmas challenge #50 - Anything Goes.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy Christmas card making.

Get Well Tag

A lovely bowl of spring flowers for my tag today.....and Challenge #88 at TAG you're it!
First I die cut my tag from a smooched background on glossy card. I stamped my bouquet of flowers a number of times, used watercolour pencils to colour them and then fussy cut them out.  I die cut my bowl twice and glued them together to give dimension and arranged all the flowers in place on the tag.  To finish I tied on some fancy threads and a mini stamped tag.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy stamping..

Lots of hugs

Today I have finished putting together a card using a digital image featuring a strawberry cupcake..yum!! with a to go Coffee Latte - my favourite.  I used the sketch at Power Poppy Creative Confetti, the theme at Stamplorations Theme and Sketch May challenge, and Shopping our Stash #39 challenge - Get Your Drink On.   Printed my image and used watercolour pencils to colour it and added some dimension with crystal drops and silver gel pen.  I found some suitable DP and a contrast card and trimmed to the sketch.  To finish I added a stamped sentiment tag.  I am also posting to Stamplorations Never Ending Anything Goes challenge.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy card making.

Merry Christmas

End of the month, wow where did that go, today I have a Christmas card for Maureen's May Rudolph Days challenge and Christmas Kickstart challenge #11 - Christmas Kids.
I have a snowglobe stamp and thought that perfect for kids so stamped and silver embossed it and cut out the center, coloured the base and lined it with clear acetate.  Then on the card front I stamped and silver embossed some stars and waterwashed with blue DI.  Next I stamped my Santa and tree, coloured them and cut them out and arranged them in position on the card.  I cut a sheet of foam to fit the panel and die cut a circle for the globe.  To finish I stamped a few snowflakes attached one large die cut glittery one and my die cut sentiment..... filled some glitter and tiny silver flakes for the shaker part and attached the front.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy Christmas card making.
