Amazing Birthday

Over at Addicted to Stamps and More they are celebrating their 7th Birthday with a Photo Inspired challenge #345.   So quickly before closing time I made a CAS card to share.  I had this gorgeous alcohol inked background on which I stamped and gold embossed my sentiment. I used a stitched die cut frame to add interest and then three die cut balloons from shiny card.  I Versamark inked the bottoms of the balloons - inspired by the photo and added some gold strings.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy stamping and congratulations design team.

Two Cards Featuring Bees

Darnell has a fun challenge this month for the Twofer Card Challenge - theme is Bees.
I was playing around with this flower stencil, sponging a combination of yellow and orange DI for the flowers and green stems....and as usual there was ink all over the stencil so I lightly misted it with water, flipped over onto another card front - an wellllah I have 'twofer' one card fronts.

For my first panel I painted in the flower centers with some light yellow DI and a bit more green on the stems.  Then I flicked some grey spots as it was a bit stark.  I framed the panel with orange card and attached some spotty ribbon and bow. I stamped my sentiment and edge the card with yellow ink and lastly stamped two 'bees', coloured them, fussy cut and added some glitter glue to the wings and fixed one in place with foam tape.

For my second card I replaced the stencil and drew around the stencil with pencil to outline the flowers and stems.  I used a die to cut a window in white card to frame the panel.  Then in my stash I found this die cut 'Happy' and attached that along with the rest of my stamped sentiment and the other little stamped 'bee'.

I am also posting to Stamplorations Never Ending Anything Goes challenge.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy card making.

Relax Tag

A fine Friday here and I'm back as Guest Designer with another tag and a reminder that you have until June 21st to join in the fun at
......pop on over to the blog and check out the fab tags from the DT.

For this tag... I thought about how fun it is to have a little umbrella propped up in your favourite mixed drink.... I'm quite partial to a Pina Colada... so kick back and relax and enjoy!
I stamped my pineapple on dark yellow card in orange and green ink and heat embossed with clear EP and fussy it out, and repeated with green for the pineapple leaves.  I found some colourful DP and cut a half circle and pleated it up like an umbrella and attached it to a skewer and topped with a bead. I couldn't find a popper straw so had to cut a larger one down, then used foam tape to attach all my elements to the tag and colourful spotty background... to finish I added my stamped sentiment and a bunch of green ribbons.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, and thanks to the TAG You're It team for inviting me to be their Guest Designer this challenge.... happy tag making

Hello

For my card today I have had a go at layering dies to create a flower, bud and leaves... fiddly but I'm happy with the result..  For the vase I used dark teal leather-grain card and an owl die where I trimmed off his head. Arranged my elements on a stitched die cut rectangle and framed that with bright blue card and to finish added a die cut sentiment.  I am playing along with Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies June challenge..  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy card making.

Spring Sunshine Tag

This fine Friday I am very happy to be
Guest Designer at TAG You're ...it!
....Thank you so much Tracey for asking me to join in

With this fabulous colourful inspirational photo
full of shady umbrellas,
I decided it was Spring, not gloomy Winter
and have looked also at the colours to influence my tag.

I discovered I did have an umbrella stamp and dug into my designer papers for some colourful designs to do some paper piecing. I stamped, embossed and fussy cut the tops of the brollies.  Then I re-stamped the image on matching card for the underneath side, fussy cut them and glued them together. Next I stamped the handles and silver embossed them, fussy cut and coloured them with silver gel pen.  I cut a tag shape from white leather grain card and sponged it with blue green ink and for my sentiment I die cut 'spring' from the white card and used the negative strip. To finish stamped the rest of the sentiment on scarp of inked card and tied on some cord.

Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy tag making
and hope you can pop over to TAG You're It and join in the fun

Happy Birthday

Been a busy week, so it's nice to get uninterrupted time at my desk to finish off some cards and post them... this is my last for the day - it takes more time than your think to just photograph, edit and then post them.
I started with the bowl on this card.... which is actually the cut out of the lolly jar card I made recently.. thought to see if I could get an ombre effect with watercolour pencils...not too bad (pic is not so good).  Then I sought out and die cut the flowers in similar shades to the pencils used and leaves and arranged them in the bowl with a touch of glitter glue, and finished off with a stamped sentiment strip.
I am playing along with CAS Mix Up June challenge - Ombre and with AAA Cards - who are celebrating their 5th Birthday - congrats ladies.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy card making.
