Merry Christmas

End of the month means a Christmas card for Rudolph Days challenge... so I have on with a vintage feel using DP elements... I have heaps of this paper and need to use more.  An easy cut and arrange the layers with foam tape for the sentiment....the second pic shows the glossy embossing on the background paper.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy card making

Just a Note

Last day of June and I'm putting the finishing touches on a few projects.... here I have some watercolour backgrounds made with Brushos and silhouette stamps.. I was on a roll some made a few background with rainbow colours - not quite neon but they're bright.  I turned them into Note Cards which I find you can use for any occasion by the sentiment you use inside.
I am playing along with Rainbow Card June challenge #6 - Neon Rainbow and Watercooler Wednesday WWC227 - Michelle's "All About Occasions" challenge.

Natures Colours

I have to say that I love Natures Colours - nothing nicer or more relaxing than to wander through a garden taking in the shapes, smells, textures and colours of nature in the plants and wildlife ---- my hubby would have all concrete so he wouldn't have to mow the lawns and I'd fill every space with plants - but he does like how 'our place' looks.   I tried out some new texture paste that I coloured up with some red DI with a floral stencil.  While the paste was still wet I added clear EP and heated it... it bubbled up and I got more dimension, I even sprinkled on some glitter and heated it again... I used green EP on the stems and then painted in the flower centers with yellow DI.  Oh and I did this on a DI smooched panel which was most light red shades and as it didn't stand out well, so I water coloured in the spaces with blue grey DI.   To finish I framed the panel with a stitched die cut onto a matching red card.  I am playing along with Stamplorations ARTplorations Mixed Media June challenge and STAMPlorations Never Ending Anything Goes challenge.   Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy times

Have a Great Day

A slight change in temperature here today, dull skies, no rain, much cooler and with a very strong wind and I'm feeling in a totally lazy mood. So I finished off this card with a simple stamped DI watercoloured flower in one corner, a red frame around the panel, finished with a mini stamped sentiment mounted with foam tape.   I am playing along with AAA Cards CAS #143 challenge - One Corner with optional twist - flowers and also with STAMPlorations CAS Card June challenge - Anything Goes and I'm playinng the optional colour twist - Mahogany (Dark Red).

Have a Great Day

Time for a Masculine card and although I don't have too many male stamps I have a stash drawer with stamped images that I have collected from friends over the years... heavens only knows how old this stamped and embossed image of a golf bag is, but it will come in handy for hubby's birthday because he loves his golf.  I used DI to water colour the image and the motley effect is from the ancient card, then I used a silver gel pen to colour the clubs.  Cut green card to frame the panel and embossed a mustard strip to go with it onto a dark green card..  To finish I added the stamped sentiment with foam tape.
I am playing along with Watercooler Wednesday WWC226  Dawn's Masculine "Anything Goes" challenge and Pixie's Snippets Playground #355 - using your stash.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it and happy stamping.

Get Well Soon

Well maybe it's just the right timing for me to be making a 'Blue' themed card for June CAS Watercolour challenge - Something Blue...... because that's just how I'm feeling this weekend with news that my mum has had a fall and broken her leg, she's 88 - thankfully she's still healthy and fit and of a positive nature and will be taking Dr's order to stay off the leg for 6 weeks seriously, and she won't like me for putting her photo in here... Love you Mum and that's why I decided to make this a Get Well card.
I used Loll's Splash watercolour technique for the background and hand painted some flower stems with Twinkling H2Os.  I stamped my sentiment to the bottom of one of those leftover frames you create when you die cut a rectangle, then attached blue card to the back of the opening and trimmed my painted panel attaching it to fit leaving a narrow blue frame.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy watercolouring.
