Love is like a Butterfly....

A card today made quickly with some die cuts and stamped sentiment....  From some smooched DO watercoloured card  scrap I die cut two butterflies. Next die cut my lattice background and a stitched frame to fit over the top (to hide the edges) and attached to a white card. To finish I die cut the stamped sentiment from the matching oval die and attached it with foam tape along with the butterflies.  I am posting to AAA Cards CAS Game #146 - Made in Minutes... and ... also CAS Watecolour August challenge - Colourful Butterflies.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate  it -- happy card making.

Thinking of You

Friend Vikki and I went to the Craft Expo last Friday and I couldn't resist this fabulous floral die... and immediately I got home I had it cut out of black card.... a quick search in the background stash found this DO on photographic paper and so today I finished it off with a die cut sentiment and attached to a bright aqua card.  I am playing along with Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge #358, STAMPloratins CUTplorations Summer 2019 challenge - Anything Goes. and will also post to the Stamplorations Never Ending Anything Goes challenge.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy card making.

Time .... is Important ATC

Created my ATC background using foil and and an embossing folder, then sprinkled different colored Embossing Powders and heated these and last dragged permanent black ink over the raised areas.  Then I stamped and silver embossed the fob watch and the sentiment in brown ink.  I am posting to Happy Little Stampers ATC August challenge - Time.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy stamping.

Especially for You

I finished off this card today for the Rainbow Card Challenge #8 - Passion for Purple...
Stamped my daisy in grey ink and coloured with pencils then fussy cut it out.  I greated the background panel with a stencil and some coloured PVA glue (just mixed some Distress Ink and glue) and used an old credit card to quickly pass it through the stencil (washed up quickly too).  Then I die cut a stitched frame and decided to used a purple panel  and trim down the stenciled piece so that it left a gap to show the purple through.  Attached my flower and some die cut leaves with foam tape and finished off with a stamped sentiment.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping.

Happy Birthday

This afternoon I've a bright fun card using a scribble circle die.... cut in white and backed with a piece created on photographic paper with DO inks - I used a dry baby wipe to apply circles on four colours and when it was dry, buffed off the powdery finish to reveal the bright colours... then I fussy cut around these to fit the die cut circles.  I used a die cut lattice behind my circles mounted with foam tape and stamped my sentiment on black card and embossed with white EP.
I am playing along with Watercooler Wednesday Karen's Feminine "Anything Goes" challenge WWC233, and Seize the Birthday #171 using the Toppings - Flowers - I think these circles look like abstract flowers. And lastly with Just Us Girls - Trend Week Challenge #500 - Circles... and congratulations design team on your 500th challenge, what a wonderful achievement.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, Happy Stamping.

Bookmarks

Bookmarks is the challenge at Tag, You're It #93..... so today I used some background glossies from my stash... DO inks on photographic paper.... through a circle stencil (left) and smooching and misting (right).  I stamped my book image, watercoloured it with DO and fussy cut it out, then stamped the sentiment with letter stamps and tied on some cord. Second on I simple stamped on my sentiment - I modified a stamp and masked and added words and also finish with some cord.

Hi, Gorgeous

August CAS Mix Up challenge would like us to re-use our mopping up paper towels - with all that yummy ink just waiting for a light water spritz and then using it to stamp the colour onto card... I had some nice bright DO mop up and pressed this onto watercolour paper - I didn't get too much pattern from the paper towel but the texture on the WC paper worked beautifully.  I used this as a background panel for my silvery die cut window and arranged around this, some stamped solid flowers (fussy cut), die cut leaves and my "hi" die cut sentiment.  I used foam tape to attach this and finished off with a stamped sentiment and chose to use  a grey card.
I am also playing along with STAMPplorations CUTplorations Summer 2019 challenge - I used part of the You Are My Sunshine die... for the 'Hi'

Elements... Paper towel technique, stamping, die cuts, fussy cutting

It's the Little Things

A bright fun card from me this afternoon, full of fluttering butterflies....
the background panel I made using 3 bright shades of DO inks and inking up some scrunched up plastic wrap and spritzing with water and laying the crinkled wrap onto white card and letting it dry.  Next I stamped solid mini butterflies in matching colours and then stamped an outline mini butterfly in grey.  I stamped extra solid butterflies and fussy cut them.  I used a die cut oval front panel to frame the butterfly panel and to finish added a stamped sentiment and die cut butterfly in white.
I am playing along with CAS Watercolour August challenge - Colourful Butterflies and also STAMPlorations Summer 2019 CAS challenge.

CAS Stencil August challenge

Welcome to
  CAS Stencil August Challenge
I am the host this month
and the challenge is to use your Stencils with
SPRAYS
or Mists

Firstly though I'd like to say that I don't own a load of commercial sprays.. just these three
but I have mixed a few using my Brushos and Magical Micas.
and you may own intricate stencils (pink one), you can use other products like the mesh or cut your own (blue one)... or even use your dies to cut shapes which I have done using metallic (not the mirror one) paper or baking paper

Here is my card
as simple as spraying your colour through a stencil

This is a lovely intricate stencil, I did use the bright Cherry Pie Dylusions spray and I was so pleased with the result....it's not perfect with some bleeding but I thought it was cool to use just on it's own for my card.
Trimmed the panel, stamped and silver embossed my sentiment on a white card
and used foam sheet to attached the panel...

I even made a spray box because I have made a mess on my desk before and this works a treat.
Can you see the metal baking tray underneath?  -- my Misti magnets worked so well in holding the stencil down flat

and the helpful hint video say to spray from directly above, lightly, which helps with bleeding.

Now it's your turn, try to keep it simple I think - and pop over to the CAS Stencil blog and check out the gorgeous 'spray stencil' cards from the design team
and our two lovely Guest Designers Hilary and Amy

Thanks so much for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy card making

Friendship

This is my card for the July Card Chain challenge swap and it went over to the USA to Greta.  I used the colour palette for my card... Yellow, Blue and Green.  I sponged green leaves with a stencil onto a yellow smooched background to use in my die cut stitched frame to display my die cut watercoloured flowers and leaves. To finished a added a green spot DP strip on a light yellow panel and used foam tape to lift my stamped sentiment.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it  -- happy card making.
