Happy WOYWW #266 everyone!!!!! Yes, don't the Wednesdays come around quickly. Firstly thanks to all the lovely visitors last week and I too enjoyed snooping on quite a few desks. Secondly if you've no idea what we're talking about pop over to our hostess Julias blog and read all the good guff and then maybe you'd like to join in and share your craft and work space.
Here's my desk today, reallllly tidy as is the rest of the house, as we are on the move again and had some prospective tenants inspect today. I hate cleaning showers!!!So on my desk pad is a card with hot air balloons I made for a challenge. On the left are the stamps from last session needing to be put away and behind that my sample colours for cards that may or may not happen. Back is a blue card just needing the last details figured before I glue it all together and then send off in a card swap. See also my birdie card holder displaying the latest card arrivals in my mail box.
Now for two finds at the second hand shop this week.....top not sure what this is meant for but I'm using it to hold folders where I will place my cards in progress...don't lose any bits then. And below is what I thought was an index file, but I think it is really just a butter container from an old fridge but it'll suit me to hold my chipboard pieces.
Lastly, here are my boys today....sleeping together....
Thanks for taking a peek and happy WOYWW, Cheers Robyn
Very creative storage solutions. Just goes to show anything can come in handy. Thanks for stopping by today.

Hi Robyn - liking your storage! Love the 'boys' Do you move often then ? Peeped at balloon cards they are fab Anne x # 35
ReplyDeleteHi Robyn. On the move? As in going to a new home? Golly, how relaxed you sound - I would be in bits trying to get all packed up - but then, we do have an incredible amount of stuff!
ReplyDeleteWas that an old record stand do you think? Looks just brilliant with the folders - a great idea. Looks like the two young men have become firm pals - that's a fabulous shot of them - well done.
Thanks for visiting and for your comments.
Take care. God bless.

Awesome finds there, Robyn! That thing that looks like a toast rack is the prefect thing to hold large projects whilst they're drying :-)
ReplyDeleteAre you going far on your move? The very thought of packing up fills me with absolute horror, I must admit. Good luck with it all...even the shower cleaning, lol!!
hugs, LLJ 21 xx

ReplyDeleteYou're moving?? After getting your beautiful garden into shape too ...
ReplyDeleteLove seeing where you work ... and those beautiful cats are always lovely to look at!
Love the storage ideas - the rack looks very like an old LP record holder I had in the 70's - it looks really cool as a storage for folders. Your boys are just so cute - nice that they are best friends too! Hope you have a great week,

Oh you are lucky--I wish my kitties could get along like that! So sweet. I think you've inspired me to create a place to organize my cards-in-progress, instead of leaving everything laying out when I'm working on them. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #57
ReplyDeleteLove the folder holder- cleaning showers- not so much!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and welcoming me to your place!

ReplyDeleteThank you for the peek! Such interesting photos. The butter dish made me laugh out loud! Those people stamps made me want a closer look, the ones on the left on your desk, that you said you haven't put away yet. And lastly, love those kitties! So adorable. #78

ReplyDeleteHave a great week and happy crafting, Angela x #41
Love all those happy colours on and around your desk. I don't think it matters at all what something might have been in a previous life, if it can be re purposed in the craft room like your buys that's just great.Beautiful pic of your sleepy boys. I have two cats who are brothers and they never sleep together like this!

I had a fun time thrift shopping also! I found a found a tea pod/coffee pod holder thing that holds 6 Cups that I am using to hold my paint brushes. I like to repurpose and think of good things to use them for. Have a great week and thanks for already visiting my desk. Vickie #82
ReplyDeleteI know I'm supposed to be looking at the desk and all but the cats stole my heart! Oh how I wish my girls got along like that. They try to kill each other on a regular basis and they grew up together! You'd think after 10 years they'd be at least tolerant of each other! Love the desk and all the pretty flowers in the jars! Thanks for visiting!
ReplyDeleteAngie #58
Your desk amuses me in so many ways! But my favorite is the butter keeper! The designer would never have guessed what it ended up being used for! What a brillant idea about the folders too! patsy
ReplyDeleteFab finds from the second hand shop.
ReplyDeleteYour two boys are adorable, but don't tell my Polly I said that (she's a Greyhound):)
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier.
Happy WOYWW Sue 48
Love how you have repurposed the butter storage to suit your current needs. Good luck with the move and please give those kitties a little scratch under the chin from me.

ReplyDeleteGreat repurposing going on there.
Now, should you be sharing pics of your boys sleeping together?

Hi Robyn,
ReplyDeleteGreat recycling ideas for storage! I would have bought the butter holder too! I love poking around op shops. Luckily I don't have much spare time :)
I do like that hot air balloon card. It was the first thing I spied :)
Have a good week,
