Merry Christtmas

Last day of the month and I'm finishing off this Christmas card just in time to get it posted.
Again I'm using up some of my pre stamped stash.. this tree was stamped with green ink and only added gold embossing powder to part of the image.... today I added some colour with Distress Inks and a cotton bud and glitter.  The panel was really plain so I added part of a EF - Sizzix Flurries to the corner and impressed a few corner lines too.  Finished off with a gold embossed sentiment - Happy Little Stampers: Merry Kissmas set.

Thanks for visiting, have a Wonderful Creative Day,  cheers

Best Wishes

I decided to emboss some gift wrap ribbon to create a shine gold frame
  • Used the border embossing folder - from Papercraft Essentials - Totally Tropical set and embossed strips of gold wrapping ribbon
  • Formed these into a frame and adhered to a smooched green background card.
  • Die cut two floral stems from Sizzix - Wildflowers Stems #1 and smooched these with Distress Inks - Fossilised amber, Candied apple, Rustic wilderness
  • Arranged the flowers with foam tape and attached the panel to a green card
  • Stamped the sentiment - Hero Arts Pen Wishes and gold embossed on a green strip and attached to card with foam tape
Thanks for visiting, have a Wonderful Creative weekend,   cheers

Happy Birthday

I have truly had the pieces for this card on my desk for ages..... used some die cut leaves - Kaisercraft Vines and flowers - Sizzix Wildflower Stems #1, and loosely watercoloured them.
In my stash I found this smooched background - then gold embossed the sentiment - Happy Little Stampers Fun Birthday Sentiment. .....  this was not the best as the watercolour paper and "old" embossing powder kind of spread and blurred - I added some white gel pen around the letters to hid the mess up.

Merry Christmas

  • Using the circle stencil (from Cheap Craft shop) and using Distress Inks - Candied Apple, Blueprint sketch, Mermaid lagoon, Twisted citron, I blended the colours through different sizes.
  • Stamped the sentiment - Hero Arts Holiday Christmas Message and gold embossed
  • Used a gold gel pen to outline the baubles using the stencil also adding gold thread and hanger tops.
  • Die cut a frame from white card and backed this with light gold metallic paper
  • Trimmed the front panel to fit just inside the frame leaving a small edge of gold showing.

I started this card for the CAS Mix Up August challenge - Stamping through a Stencil and realised I'd made a card that would fit also with the CAS Christmas August challenge - Decorations
Thanks for visiting... have a Wonderful Creative weekend,   cheers

Just wanted to say....

  • I die the the floral in white card using a magazine freebie - Card Making Magic - Between the Line Crocus set and as it is a slim image decided to make a slim line card
  • I die the the flowers again using different colours and then inlaid them back into the white frame and added some depth to the flowers with coloured pencils
  • Trimmed a piece of purple glitter card to use as a background for the floral image and attached to a folded slim line white card
  • To finish I stamped  the sentiment in black Versafine ink and clear embossed it and attached to the card with foam tape

Happy Birthday to You

An effective way to use a lovely floral die cut like this one from Paper Rose - Blooming Flowers background, is to simple add lovely colour background to a white diecut

  • I used Distress Oxide inks to blend a rainbow of colour on white card
  • Die cut the image in white card and attached to the background leaving a border of colour
  • Stamped and clear embossed the sentiment from Hero Arts on a die cut label (Project Life set)

I am playing along with The Flower Challenge #59 - Use a Die
Thanks for visiting, and have a Wonderful Day, cheers

Hugs 4 You

Hi and a big thanks for stopping by my blog...

  • From my prestamped and coloured images stash I selected this posy from Power Poppy Countryside Bouquet Deluxe set - stamped with Versafine smokey grey ink and watercoloured with Distress Inks
  • Die cut a white frame using two dies from the Poppy Crafts Double Stitched Circles
  • Then using a sharp art knife I fussy cut sections of the flowers so they would overlap the frame
  • Chose some pink and purple card to layer behind the image
  • Finished off with a stamped sentiment from Power Poppy Loving Tulips set on a mini tag and attached this with a ribbon bow.

  Cheers

July Card Chain Reveal

My card for the July Card Chain Challenge went off to Greta in the USA

  • I used the colour palette, sketch and themes - summer, snacks and friendship and the fancy fold technique for my card
  • Stamped the Hibiscus five time in black Versafine from Apple Blossom Days Hummingbird set and watercoloured with Distress Inks - Squeezed lemonade, Fossilized amber, Tea dye, Aged mahogany, Rustic wilderness and fussy cut them out.
  • I designed a card which I cut from 12" white card, scoring and leaving a small section bottom of the back page so I could attach my floral arrangement.
  • Found some light yellow striped DP and cut to fit the front
  • Then die cut two circles of light yellow card, trimmed to fit the bottom corner and conceal the back of the arrangement
  • Stamped the sentiment in black Versafine - Kaisercraft Decor Frames and Quotes set on one yellow circle
  • Stamped the pineapple half on yellow card with DI Fossilised amber, and leaves with DI Rustic wilderness and Peeled paint and used the coordinating die to cut these out.  Made a straw with scrap white card and red marker pen - stamps from Papercraft Essentials - Totally Tropica
