Happy Birthday

How excited I was this week to receive my prize for winner of last months Power Poppy - Power and Spark challenge, thank you Marcella.  I just love PP stamps and of course I had to make a card with my lovely Camellia set. I stamped the image of a different type of card stock... it's very shiny and textured and absorbs the inks quickly... I used my shiny Twinkling H2Os to colour it. I faintly stamped script on to the mauve card and layered it with soft purple. Then finished it all off with a bow, gems and a stamped sentiment. So I'm posting again to the Power and Spark challenge - May Flowers. Thanks for taking a peek

Together is a Wonderful Place To Be

For my last card today I'm CASEing Shery's card for this months Stamplorations CASEplorations challenge.  I sponged some Distress Ink over a background created with ink on scrunched plastic bag. Then stamped the sentiment in black but it was kinda lost so I cut it out and mounted on white to frame it.  Thanks for taking a peek

Today is all about you ....

......oh my this has been an evolving card, over the week - still not sure I'm liking it as it is way too bright for me....I was a bit heavy handed with the blue around the flowers and used a white pen to break up the edge on the die cut and also the background. I used some lace and ribbon to dress it a bit and add a sentiment that could be used for a number of occasions.  I was guided with the layout at Try Stamping on Tuesday #269.  I have used Brushos to colour this card.  Thanks for taking a peek

Do What You Love

Last week Joanna at Inspired by Stamping offered this sentiment to download and use with our creation on the weekly  FB challenge.  I printed it on light card and teamed it with the fressias from the IBS Friends Forever set.  I used Distress Ink to colour the image and layered it onto green card. Thanks for taking a peek

Have a Beautiful Day

For my swap card this past month at Society of Stampaholics  I decided to go with the colour theme and also use cats.  I masked off a rectangle and used the theme colours in Distress Inks for create the background.  I stamped a silhouette garden as a background to my black die cut cat, then finished off with a stamped sentiment.  Thanks for taking a peek and hope Stacy likes her card.

Welcome

I'm posting today to Simon Says Monday challenge - Home Decor.
At present we are renovating and old old house and I was inspired to make this 'welcome' sign out of the old weatherboards. We are renovating a very old house and have removed the external walls, also discovered a few old bolts and  found this chain and old door bell to use.  I painted up some new wooden letters and distressed them with sandpaper and paint. and as I ponder what I've done so far I'm sure there will be some more 'decorations' added.  It's fair from a 'pretty' item but as a reminder of the old type of house I think it is perfect.  Thanks for taking a peek

Birthday Wishes

This week I got a great giveaway with a magazine.... a three part rose/leaf stamp and matching dies.... so I just had to give it a go today.  I used the layout at Try Stamping on Tuesdays challenge #268 to mount my three stamped roses and layered them onto some patterned paper and a darker border. Then finished with a stamped sentiment.  Thanks for taking a peek

Just quick note..

Amazed myself this afternoon....started yesterday to create this background only to get way distracted and now when I've returned to complete it - find that its the start of a new month and the challenge is closed.  mmmm  well I have turned it into a background for the CASE(this sketch) CTS#170 ...  I inked the background in a light shade then added more ink in two shades over my leafy die cut to make the shadowy images, then die cut the leaves and inked in the gaps before removing the die. I masked off the four sections and sponged them and drew a dividing line with white pigment pen.  Now for the 'Metal' part at Simon Says Monday challenges - it is some strong metallic stick tape that the window installers left behind and I snapped it up quickly into my stash. I die cut the banner and adhered it to card and stamped on the sentiment with permanent ink. Thanks for taking a peek
