'Tis the Season to be Jolly

Best Wishes

Card Sketch 56Wwaaaay out of my comfort zone with these colours especially for a non male card.....but I think it looks ok. I wanted to try white embossing on light brown/kraft too and think I may have selected a better stamp to use. I've used the layout at Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #56. Thanks for taking a peek

What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday?

Happy hump day and here we are with Wednesday rolling around again so I'm here to post my desk pics for the WOYWW 221 - if you'd like to join the fun pop over to Julia's blog and she'll explain.
It has been one of those weeks and I'm not even going to explain - one of those where you lay awake at night with plans running through your head ...never mind...but I'm still able to find time at my desk and dining table and enjoying time with our visitors.  Janice is sitting here today at her emails, we need a rest today as we went into town yesterday and walked our feet off - LOL, of course we loved it.  I've a few pics today as I have been busy....

My desk - still untidy but it has been a productive week with 8 Christmas cards added to my pile - pile just to the top right of the laptop. I'm working on another Christmas card and need to make 2 birthday cards this coming week.

Then there's the chair....it's for our daughters nursery, she found it at the op shop and I've just finished covering the new foam cushions, hubby did a great job on the wooden frame. Second pic is the old cushions and I had to take a photo because the magpies have had a wonderful time gathering threads from the piece of hessian at the top.

These pics are of a jewelry roll  Janice asked me to make, so her necklaces and chains don't get all tangled when they're travelling.

Well must get this posted and check out what's been happening at other WOYWW desks, thank you for all your encouraging comments last week and - Enjoy Life.  Thanks for taking a peek

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Well the men are in the kitchen tonight cooking up a pork roast so  I've had time to put together another Christmas card using the Freshly Made Sketches #1 where they are celebrating their 100th sketch - yippee!!! well done ladies. This sketch is the first they ever posted when they started the blog.  Thanks for taking a peek

Jingle bells

My second card from yesterdays play that I put off photographing till today with clean daylight.  And another for the Christmas stash using the Fusion Card Challenge #16 layout - I really like my Santa stamp but it's rather large and I find it hard to use on a card so framing part of his face here with the oval die cut looks a lot better.  Thanks for taking a peek

Peace Love Joy

I was lucky yesterday afternoon to find some quiet time at my desk while the football was on TV and got to make a couple more cards.  This card is for the CAS(E) this Sketch CTS#42 challenge and another card for the Christmas pile.  Thanks for taking a peek

Christmas Tree Card

I must be feeling good - everything is going so well today and my Christmas card pile has grown to 16 :-)   I love how this card are turned out and a big thank you to Arlene who sent me some die cut trees in our card swap (at Card chain challenge at SOS, if you'd like to join in) I love these cute trees and and didn't even feel that they needed much so just sponged colour on one and add some bling. The layout is for the Merry Monday #71 challenge at Always Playing With Paper.  Thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas Bauble

Tuesday Throwdown #161

Oh  my am I on a roll...well I did actually make this one early on and just posting now - what a way to use up your scraps....well my scrap strips...I'm a real hoarder keep all the little bits of card and I saw somewhere this idea...so I covered blank card piece with double sided tape (I have 2.5cm or 1inch wide tape) and then just stuck on the coloured card strips in a kind of pattern...I'll be making more of these cards. So all this suits the Tuesday Throwdown #161 challenge and thanks again to Vikki for suggesting this blog. I'm having fun today and there's another card for my Christmas stash. Thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas Tree

Well Vikki has been egging me on today...she suggested a card for the Try Stamping on Tuesdays Challenge #132, so I'm again adding to my Christmas pile with this card - I love this red designer paper and I think I may be running out of it......meanwhile inbetween all this creativity my visitor friend Janice has made me a lovely prawn salad for lunch :-)          Thanks for taking a peek

Peace Love Joy

Q for Quick!

I'm back....here with a "QUICK" Christmas card for the ABC Christmas Challenge - Q for Quick.
I was very fortunate to receive these cute die cut Christmas trees from a lovely lady in a card swap and how easy to layer them on some deep maroon Christmas paper and quickly stamp a sentiment...welllllaaah - a quick card and another one for my stash.  Thanks for taking a peek

Hope Your Day Is Fabulous

IBSIC-#62Here's the second card I've been working on for the Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge this one for the #62 challenge. The little farm boy is stamped in Versamark and I used various different foliage stamps to create the screen at the front and around the edge of the background card.  Thanks for taking a peek....Cheers and have a wonderful weekend
