Watercolour Waterlily

The final card I started on Saturday with the Brushos... I decided to stamp the Inspired by Stamping Waterlily image and emboss it with pearl gold before I coloured it with the Brushos.  To achieve this you first paint the are you are working on (eg the petals) with water and then sprinkle a few grains of Brushos pigment of and watch it spread...I moved the colour about with a water loaded brush...you need to be patient and make sure the painted area is dry before you continue. To finish I 'swam' in some blue to create the watery background.  I am posting to Tuesday Throwdown #266 - Watercolor and to Virginia's View #19 - All Things Coloured.  Thanks for taking a peek

Hi happy card makers....here's my latest card, I made it yesterday at friend Vikki's craft space, thanks again Vikki for sharing your stuff; I love being here to spend time with Sophie our new granddaughter but do miss my hubby and desk.
Anyway I saw this tag yesterday at Debby's blog and loved it's simple design so here's my version. Using Brown colours for CAS.ology challenge and making a "Tag" card for Tuesday Throwdown #172, I like it also as a "Card for Men" in the October  at Sweet Stampin Christmas and "V for Vixen" over at ABC Christmas challenge.  Thanks for taking a peek and have a super weekend

"Use your scraps."

Oh  my am I on a roll...well I did actually make this one early on and just posting now - what a way to use up your scraps....well my scrap strips...I'm a real hoarder keep all the little bits of card and I saw somewhere this idea...so I covered blank card piece with double sided tape (I have 2.5cm or 1inch wide tape) and then just stuck on the coloured card strips in a kind of pattern...I'll be making more of these cards. So all this suits the Tuesday Throwdown #161 challenge and thanks again to Vikki for suggesting this blog. I'm having fun today and there's another card for my Christmas stash. I seem to be on a roll today this is my fourth card.... a Male Birthday card for Dynamic Duos DD#49 using Grey and Black and over at Tuesday Throwdown #144 they ask you to create your own background - I embossed my mid grey card and sanded it to enhance the pattern.
