Power & Spark, April - "you pick 3"....select three markers only to colour your image... well that was a bit difficult as I only have a few markers unpacked at this stage of our move back home - but came up with a double ended Brushables purple shade marker and a Distress Ink marker - Shabby Shutters. I am very happy with my colouring effort seeing as the purples weren't blendable. Finished off the card by mounting the fussy cut image over a purple oval onto an embossed background. Then I inked the edges of the the sentiment banner. I am also going to post to The Card Concept #54 -Spring Flowers I was inspired by the beautiful lilac colours in the inspiration photo and my card is a clean and layered style.

I hate to waste anything - so I have a stash of 'scraps' of card and paper, etc. And then when I'm using ink/paint the same applies...so when I read this months Happy Little Stampers CAS challenge - Stencil Monoprint, I knew I already had a few backgrounds made with using the leftover ink on stencils - I chose this one using the Roses stencil from Kaisercraft. At Shopping Our Stash #249 the challenge is Think Ink, no colouring, so using two die cut flowers and a few scattered sequins over the background worked perfectly. To finish I'm joining in with Virginia's View April 'Link-up Party' - a card for a Friend, so my sentiment was to die cut 'hello' to expose the base layer and stamped the Dear Friend on a background scrap. Some off the edge stamping and soft colouring and stamped sentiment...have you ever tried inking with colour (I used dark purple) and then using pearl gold embossing powder - great soft colours.
I've made this 'simple' card for the Curtain Call challenge - Simplicity, and also posting to Simon Says Monday challenge - Butterfly Beauty, and also at Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Make it Girlie. Thanks for taking a peek

April Happy Little Stampers CASE the Designer challenge ... well the minute I saw Joyce's gorgeous card for this months challenge I knew I wanted to CASE her card - I love the white on white with the lovely pop of pink of her rose... so I chose a bouquet from Inspired by Stamping and some bright Brusho colours. But mine definitely looked dull so I added the layer of yellow and finished off with a sentiment and fussy cut butterfly. Thanks for taking a peek

My card for the March card swap at Society of Stampaholics
A bit of masking and watercolour paints on the feature circle and then overstamped with a bird flourish and then I restamped the bird and fussy cut him to mount over the image. A piece of gauze and sentiment to finish the card.... hope Helen enjoys receiving this. Thanks for taking a peek
