Happy Mothers' day

I have used this floral stamp from the Tulip Bouquet set from Inspired by Stamping to make my "Spring" themed card for Mothers' Day which is next weekend here in Australia. I watercoloured it and then die cut it to for the center piece overlaying a die cut lattice with mauve card to to highlight the cuts and edge.  A stamped tag, bow and pearls finish off the card - I do think my MIL is going to really like this (she's just had her 90th birthday). I am posting to Inspired by Stamping WEEKLY CARD/PROJECT SHARE THREAD April 25TH ~ This Week’s Prompt ~ SPRING THEME. Also at Crazy 4 Challenges C4C #333 the theme is Spring. And finally I'm posting to Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes.  Thanks for taking a peek

Time to Celebrate Friendship

Last week I created the background panel with scrunched up waxed lunch wrap and Distress Ink and really wanted to incorporate it in a card....and as usual one doesn't want to cover it up but you ended up doing that anyway...so through my autumn leave you can just see it.  I used the layout at Just Add Ink #233 and at Crazy 4 Challenges #255 they would like leaves on your project.

Peace, Joy, Love

My Christmas card today is using the soft palette suggested at Crazy 4 Challenges #251  and the inspirational photo at Festive Fridays #40 (isn't it just gorgeous, soft and pink). I also used my lattice die for the first time so would like to post it to NBUS #2. I stamped the Joy and Love baubles and used polysparkle embossing powder to give them some sparkle, then just layered the oval die cut onto the lattice and two designer paper pieces. Finished off with a Peace die cut and a holly sprig decorated with a few pearls. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Teddy Love

Teddy bears are a favourite of mine and I do have a few and a couple of bear stamps, this one is real sweet and I love the sentiment .. so I couldn't resist making a card for Crazy 4 Challenges #244. I used the colours at Just Add Ink #222.  I coloured my card with distress inks and the bears bow with Twinkling H2Os then finished the card with some layers and a row of lace and ribbon and a lace flower and heart.

Crazy4Challenges 229~Fooled Ya

Hello and happy Saturday...yeah that means stamping with my friend Vikki over Skype...we're there for each others encouragement as some days are mojo is way low.
I've made this 'different' card for the Crazy 4 Challenges 229 theme - "Fooled Ya" and I'm coping from a card I made and found IN the stash box, sadly it hasn't been used yet. Styled with a cross over front and inner card with tab and I've decided to make a few thank you cards as our daughter could use a few. Thanks for taking a peek and hope your weekend involves some you time and maybe some crafting Robyn

Gone fishin'

Oh boy ... another male, that's a bit scary from me... and I've combine three challenges again.  The layout from Crazy 4 Challenges C4C233 and the colour palette from Color Throwdown ctd280 and then the theme "Jump" for CAS-ology.  I did have my fish and sentiment already stamped in my collected of prestamped images - just a quick paint job with my aquabrush and distress ink pads...they come in handy now and again.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

2014 Happy Birthday

Hi there fellow card makers...wasn't sure how I was going to interpret this pic from Crazy 4 Challenges #217 but I'm glad I went with the clocks because I'm really happy how it turned out.  I distress coloured some water colour card and then ran it though the cuttlebug with the clock embossing folder, ran the versamark clear pad over the raised areas and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.  I tied it in with the pic with the 2014 banner, a happy birthday sentiment that I could easily add a number to represent the age of the recipient in 2014.  Thanks for taking a peek   Robyn

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C211   "Let's frame it"

Happy Birthday Mermaid

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C194- Marine Life

Old, New Borrowed or Blue

JAI 173 - Just Add....Water

A fun card today for a number of blog challenges....Water, Marine seem to be a theme this week so I've combined a few.

At Papertake Weekly they're asking for a card using one of the theme - Old, New, Borrowed or Blue; so I've chosen Old being the stamped mermaid and the sentiment from my pre-stamped drawer (both years old) and they were both created from Borrowed stamps (hence in the stash drawer). New would be the white card stock for the card base and Blue for the marine/water theme which also falls into the catagory for Addicted to CAS - Water - the waves I created with the die cut border and chalks and the mermaid is painted with my Twinkling H2Os so can also be for the Mixed Media technique challenge at Just Us Girls JUGS197.  My card also fits with the Marine theme at Crazy4Challenges C4C194 and Just Add Water over at Just Add Ink JAI173.  Thanks for taking a peek

Male Birthday Card

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C192

Hexagons (or something similarly shaped)!

A simple card for starters from my desk today....I have a few male birthdays coming up so need to add to my stash.  The challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges C4C192 as for 'Hexagons' so my embossed background is about the only hexagon thing I have and the shape I tried to cut myself went in the bin. It's quite plain but very blokey.... :-)    Thanks for taking a peek

Happy Birthday to You

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C191

I saw this at Crazy for Challenges C4C191 - to make a flip flop card - learnt a few things about making this card so the next won't be as fiddly and as yet I'm to finish the inside flap, like making the middle section of the fold wider as mine is a touch front heavy with the tag, but I'm loving how it turned out so I'll be making another as I have a few birthdays coming up.

Day and Night

Afternoon visitors to my blog....today my card is based on the colours at Crazy 4 Challenges C4C185  -  lovely bright orange and grey... I thought I'd do a shell/beach card but look what I've ended up with something way different using a stamp I've had for a very long time - it's a wonder it isn't perished and gone hard, also some star brads and a moon embellishment so all that's crazy that I've been digging into my stash.... I've used the layout at RetroSketches rs#63 - I really like their simple lines and try to tackle them as often as possible....just made this post :-)
Thanks for taking a peek

A little birdie told me....

Crazy4Challenges C4C180.... Lets swing into Spring

Well ... that was close 6 minutes to close for the Crazy 4 Challenges C4C180 this week....it's all about spring...not here in Australia we're coming into autumn but oh well a card's a card... I've used some cute birds for the theme with the flying one mounted on a spring so it sort of flutters.

Been crazy here at Yeppoon QLD  ... we had our furniture etc delivered yesterday and murphys law yes it rained most of the morning so the boxes came in damp and the men traipsed wet boots through so now I have their mess to cleanup too....I have already unpacked all the household boxes and only few of my craft ones so after todays skyping session with Vikki I'll have to unpack, sort and setup my new stamping space...yippee ... and yes murphys law again the sun's out today so my washing machine's been busy and tonight we get to sleep in our own bed.
Thanks for taking a peek and happy weekend ...

Retro Sketches, Crazy 4 Challenges, Shopping Our Stash

Well it's a wonder I actually got this card made today....this has been the scariest of days - wind is ferocious and I can't believe so far I've made it through the day without something serious happening to the caravan, it's been awful.  But I suppose making my card has got me to focus on something other than outside.  So I've used the Retro Sketch rs#39 for this layout and over at Crazy4Challenges C4C#164 their request is for your card to PUT A BOW ON IT!  I'm also posting it on Shopping Our Stash #79

Shopping Our Stash Challenge 79: Odds and Ends and/or Waiting to be Used

- using the die cut and circle I had in my stash - it definitely didn't start out like this in my mind but I'm happy with the finished card - I was using the colours from Play Date Cafe (rose, eucalyptus, slate) but that closed a couple hours ago.
Thanks for taking a peek

    CREATE A TAG!
Good morning to you all....oh what a week - no cards made this week... promised myself as hubby was away that I'd complete my Christmas cards...so am very happy and relieved they are all written, in envelopes, addressed and ready to slip into the post box...YIPPEEE!!!!  It's not a chore, I love keeping in touch with family and friends and sending them cards made by me gives me a happy feeling...and thankfully I've had lots of inspiration from many others making their lovely cards - THANK YOU ALL.
Here's my card for this morning using the layout from Freshly Made Sketches FMS62, the colour inspiration from CAS-ual Fridays CFC79 and also it fits with the Tag challenge from Crazy 4 Challenges C4C163.  I saw a few snowmen cards on the net using these circles so their inspiration - he's real cute.
