Two Heart Cards....

Today I am happy to share my two cards using the same stamp for the Twofer Card challenge #2 - Hearts

This was really fun and challenging and I've used a very old heart stamp that hasn't seen the light of day for aaggges.
For my first card I stamped the image onto pink (Distress Oxide) water wash card and fussy cut the center heart, then restamped onto white card and fussy cut this and watercoloured the edges and eyelets of the 'lace', then glued them together with a little padding under the hear.   Then I decorated the floral area with a matching rose, ribbons, leaves and tiny punched flowers with pearl centers.
To finish I mounted my matching DP panel to white card cut with a zigzag die and added my stamped sentiment, with inked edges and tiny flower.  I am posting this card also to CAS Colours and Sketches #258 - colour palette,  and also to CAS-ual Fridays challenge CFC#192 - Hearts, hearts and more hearts.
For my second card I stamped the heart image on white card and fussy cut the center heart, then sponged this with Wilted Violet DOX - masking the floral area.... this I painted with DOX and added Dimensional Magic to give this a shine and lift (adding the DM to DOX - changes the colours a little). Then I lightly stamped script to my background panel and layered it onto white card on my purple card base.  To finish I added a gauzy ribbon to my heart and a stamped and embossed sentiment.  I am also posting this card to Watercooler Wednesday challenge WWC15 - Anything Goes, Feminine.

Love letters....

"love is in the air" with Valentine's Day soon, so there's lots of challenges with 'hearts'.  I have turned my 'Muzzy signing a card' House Mouse stamp into a love letter card... I wonder 'Do friends write love letters' these days, actual hand written love letters or cards, that's one aspect of technology I don't like. I created the background panel with Brushos - sprinkle, spray and dab off. Then I watercoloured my image with Distress Inks and die cut the panel. And to finish I die cut a large scribble heart and a heart border, and used the cut outs for 'Muzzy' to use as stickers.
I am posting to House Mouse and Friends HMFMC#258 - option Love. Also to Shopping Our Stash - He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not,  Happy Little Stampers Feb Watercolour challenge - optional twist: Heart and CAS-UAL Fridays CFC192 - Hearts, Hearts and more Hearts.

...Morning Coffee!!

Colouring today with my Distress Oxides - day 11 at the Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge.
Feel a bit ragged some mornings myself, so a quiet walk around the garden with my cuppa helps start my day.

I've had this image in my stamped stack for ages and after colouring it in found it matched nicely with the DOX background I made earlier in the week.  Created my own sentiment and printed it before using my 'rough' deckle scissors to trim it to size.  I am also joining in the CFC191 challenge at CAS-UAL Fridays - More Coffee Please!

Happy Birthday

Creating a card with Dies and No Stamps is a real challenge for me - but I have managed to use four different die sets on this card.  The background panel is from my stash of Brushos creations and has a nice shimmer to it. I used an embossing die to make the curve on the white card which I have die cut and used the negative for my sentiment, so the lovely background could show through.  Then I die cut a swirl in blue for the flower stems and cut two sizes from the flower die set. I mounted them with foam tape and added a gem to the centers to finish.  I am playing along with CAS-ual Fridays CFC179 challenge - Dies Only.  Thanks for taking a peek

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas....

Another Christmas card from me - one yesterday too, great to be adding to my stash...
Now this one is using all new stuff... new embossing folder (actually wondered how I was ever going to use it), new snowflakes/gift dies, and a new sentiment stamp.... all new for the ABC Christmas challenge this month 'N' for New.  I was inspired to use the EF with the theme/photo inspiration at Jingle Belles - Snowflakes hanging on an open fireplace..  And I am also joining in at CAS-ual Fridays CFC178 - Christmas in July.
In making my card I just loved the blue and white theme - I fussy cut the embossed fireplace and a few extras for the mantle piece, watercoloured my 'fire', arranged my die cut gifts and snowflakes and added my stamped embossed sentiment strip.  To finish I cut a wee scottie dog in white card using an image from the net and lighly shaded his features...I think he's cute.  Thanks for taking a peek

Butterfly kiss...

My card this afternoon is for CAS-ual Fridays CFC177 challenge... from their tic tac toe inspiration.
I've chosen top left diagonally to bottom right - butterflies, add a tag, add texture.
I've used a stencil and sprays for my background on the main panel and stamped on my sentiment and some butterfly script, also added some coloured texture paste with a stencil.
Then I die cut my stitched tag added some butterfly script and sponged some colour and to finish added a ribbon and die cut butterfly.  Then chose a mauve background panel and gave that some more texture with an embossing folder. Thanks for taking a peek

Just for You

For my card today I'm using the layout at CAS(E) this Sketch #206 and I was inspired to include some music script stamping for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge CFC166 - Music to my ears.  Firstly I stamped my birds on a branch image and coloured them in, then using a mask I used an inked baby wipe to swipe blue across the bottom section...then I added some music script.  Finally I  mounted the panel to a white card and added a stamped sentiment.  Thanks for taking a peek

Christmas is Love

A fun swirly Christmas tree cut with a die and overlaid onto shiny gold card and then fussy cut to leave a fine line of gold. Then I double embossed the white front panel by running the large polka dot folder through the Cuttlebug once, then turned the panel over and embossed it again...you can see in the second pic the overlapping circles - raised and debossed...I love the affect. Then I just layered the card on purple and stamped and embossed my sentiment in gold and layered it too on purple. I used foam tape to attach my tree and sentiment. I am posting to CAS-ual Fridays CFC141 - Embossing.

I simply stamped the palm trees on tan card and then the sentiment in red on white and arranged the layers. Then finished the card with some die cut sunnies...

I love this Penny Black - Tulip stamp and sadly don't use it enough...I was playing around with markers directly onto the stamp, then stamped onto damp cardstock and lastly a very fine water spray which had the ink run a littl -. and came up with this effect which I really like. I'm playing along with three challenges - CAS-UAL Fridays CFC131: Three Thirds, CAS.ology: Week 96, Flowers, and over at Shopping Our Stash #152 they are celebrating their 3rd Birthday today - so a very big congratulations to the DT at SOS.
