My Very Best Wishes for a Wonderful New Year to Everyone....  Peace and Happiness

Who would think I'd still be making a few Christmas cards... you might say I'm getting a good start for next year but really I'm making myself put the crochet hook down and just finishing off some card WIPs in a pile on my desk and join in a last few challenges for the year

Let's Squash It! challenge #27 - Snowflakes and Stars
Here I've used a Starry border embossing folder (which was a freebie with Simply Cards and Papercrafts mag - Santa Clause is coming to town), and brayered yellow Distress Oxide over them and added some glitter glue

Can You Handle the Pressure December challenge - with a Twist of Snow    and I've used a favourite Embossing Folder from Cuttlebug - Flurries, teamed with some die cut snowflakes and lots of sparkly mist.

Of course candles are always Chrismassy... so this one is for the Christmas Kickstart challenge #69
stamp from STAMPlorations: Christmas candles, silver embossed and watercoloured with Distress Inks
Have a Wonderful New Years Celebration - I'll be pretending I stayed up late to see the new year but most likely I'll be fast asleep,  Enjoy Yours and see you all in the New Year, hugs Robyn

Here are the latest blankets I've finished this week.... just needed ends sewn in and their borders

Merry Christmas to ALL my Blogging friends

Looking forward to this time next week, when all the Christmas celebrations, cooking and eating are over once again and then one can relax and enjoy the moment and remember the events of the past year.

I've been busy with other things of late... visiting my mum for her 92nd birthday, having visitors stay, getting my Christmas cards written and sent, attending the girls end of year concerts, finishing off a few crochet projects and just a little time to make a few cards...

This one is for Just Add Ink challenge 634 - Anything but a card   - made using one of those 12x12 card pieces and adding a die cut tag

This one because while you're stamping one image you might as well make a TWOFER.

This one for Happy Little Stamper - Anything Goes with Dies December challenge

and NBUS challenge #45     using Sizzix Folk Art Stencil die

And a just because one.... the image has been waiting on my desk for ages, I teamed it with some new papers and a sentiment sticker..  one can never have enough birthday cards

And lastly this stencilled card for the - Anything Goes,  Stencil Fun December Challenge, using a Tim Holtz Flourish Layering stencil

Pics of my two recently finished crocheted blankets

Looking forward to 2023, keeping happy, healthy and safe and most of all enjoying my crafts.
Wishing you ALL the Very Best for a Merry Christmas and a Wonderful, Safe and Prosperous New Year,  many hugs Robyn

The Card Chain Challenge October Reveal

went off to Pat in USA...

I used the sketch layout, and colour palette for my card and Friendship theme

I found some blush pink and light blue patterned paper for the base layout and attached to a square white card.  From the same pp bundle I cut a scalloped element and backed it with another layer of pp. The sentiment is stamped and silver embossed (Power Poppy - Poppies set) on pink card and added a fine white layer.  To finish I die cut some butterflies and silver embossed them.

Thanks for stopping by my blog,   have a Wonderful Day,    Cheers Robyn

  • Sophie loves purple - some found some purple patterned paper and embossed it with the Sizzix Happy Birthday EF and blended Wilted Violet Distress Oxide over the raised areas

Wednesday 26 October 2022

Had to spend some time today making a birthday card for our 9 year old grand daughter so I now able to post a few cards too..

A Christmas card to add to my stash... soon I'll have to be considering writing up my overseas cards to get them in the post during November ---- THAT's NEXT WEEK!!

The Christmas Kickstart challenge #67 - Poinsettias and Posies

Rudolph Days October challenge

I stamped this Kaisercraft Poinsettia from the Christmas Edition set and heat embossed with Sizzix Holly Berry EP. -- just randomly onto white card and then made a mess of it... so I fussy cut them out and rearranged them onto red panel die cut using CUTplorations Running Double Stitched rectangle.  In my stash I found the sentiment already embossed with same EP and attached with foam tape  To finish I added some gold micro beads to the flower centres.

Hi and how was your weekend??
Mine was the usual, working some in the garden, some crochet and finished off a few more cards.
Two Floral cards for The Flower Challenge..
and wishing the team ALL the Very Best on their 6th Birthday

For this card I used a new gifted stamp - it's origin is unknown, stamped with smokey grey Versafine and watercoloured with Distress Inks with a little bit of coloured pencil for depth.
Die cut the frame with double stitched square die from Poppy Crafts, and stamped and silver embossed the sentiment from Kaisercraft.

My second card is also using a gifted stamp - PSX, Canna Lily, stamped with smokey grey Versafine and water coloured with Distress Inks.  Trimmed the panel and added a light green border layer. Stamped the sentiment with black Versafine ink on match green cards strip.. Happy Little Stampers: Especially for You set and attached with foam tape
