Christmas cards

Had a lovely visit with a friend today.... been quite a while since we got together to stamp and make cards.....   so it was nice to sit afterwards and make a couple of Christmas cards for my stash.

I'm joining challenges at

Just Us Girls #835 - Die week

Just Add Ink #791 - Christmas in July

CAS Christmas August challenge - Santa's Sleigh

Darnell's Weekly IDEAS prompt - Week 2 - "D" = Die Cuts

First card is just all Die Cuts...  a swirly background from my stash backed with pine leaves greenery and hung with a sparkly ornament and sentiment to finish.

Second card I stamped a silhouette Santa sleigh on to a starry night patterned paper, then again on a die cut yellow moon which is easy to position over the first stamping... to create a scene inked up a couple of fir trees and positioned them on a snowy slope and finished with a stamped sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, have a wonderful day,   Cheers Robyn

Thinking of You and Christmas ...

Hi and thanks for popping over to my blog...  busy week again and we have a visitor staying too, so life is in a jumble...  but I did find time yesterday to make a few cards... lots of bits from my stash again and patterned papers.

My first card is for the Just Us Girls challenge #834 - CASE a DT week... (Copy And Selectively Edit or C0py And Share Everything) --   so that is what I did  --- totally copied Ina's lovely die cut corner card.  As it was, I had the same die cut panel already in my stash, so it was nice and easy to find some pretty coloured background for the die cut and then decided to attach it to a matching blue card and finish off with a lighter die cut sentiment and a few gems.  AND I see I am toooo late to join in the challenge :-(

And now for my Christmas cards this week... I've made a Twofer - so easy to die cut two Santa Sleighs and decorate them for a cards using different background patterned papers and die cut sentiment. I'm joining the challenges at:

....which reminds me - my crochet group did enjoy their Christmas in July morning tea last Tuesday - lots of fun, food and friendship, not much crochet.

Mannny months ago I bought this cool card book with lots of floral preprinted cards and envelopes ... again it was forgotten... but I've had my colouring pencils out and have nearly completed two cards... I do find colouring with whatever medium I use,  quite relaxing.
So I'm inspired to share with Darnell's Weekly IDEAS prompt...  week 1 "I" = Ink/Colour mediums.

Cheers and have a wonderful day, Robyn

Christmas, Just a Note and Birthday Wishes

Been a busy week here and even though I had these cards made a few days ago, I'm only finding time today to share them and join in a few challenges.... that keep me inspired.

Darnell's Weekly IDEAS prompt - "I" = Inks/Colour Mediums  - All my cards feature me playing with INK

Christmas Kickstart challenge #112 - Grace Us with Your Presents.... how cool is that play on words

Jingle Belles challenge - Stars or Stripes Forever  ... and I guess that a play on a US event.

For my first card I stamped and watercoloured this cute House Mouse stamp using my watercolour pencils... they haven't seen daylight for a while ... then used silver glitter pen on the ribbons and matched up with silver embossed sentiment.  EDIT... well I messed that up properly... no stars or stripes!

My second card is using the sketch from Just Add Ink challenge #789
Trimmed some pretty papers into strips and added some die cut leafy shapes that I inked up with Distress Oxides, then finished off with a die cut flower from my stash and a gold embossed sentiment

My last card was a bit of fun for the   -  Love those Pretty Papers July challenge
Using a stamped bird image from my stash that I watercoloured with my Twinkling H2O inks and fussy cut it out.  Then attached it to some fun birdie patterned paper and a stamped sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by my blog... have a wonderful weekend
Cheers Robyn

Couple of Christmas cards

Fluffy around in my stash of Christmasy bits I found this die cut ornament that only needed me to cut the leaves and berries to inlay into the shape.  And in the pile was also this embossed sentiment strip I'd cut from a larger an embossed panel... so needed me to put all together.

And for this card I embossed the white panel with a poinsettia design and from my stash found this flower and teamed it with some gold metallic ribbon to add some colour.  The embossing folder set also had matching die cut to overlay the words onto the sentiment

I used Darnell's Weekly IDEAS prompt  - week 3 "E" = Embossing.
And I'm joining the challenges at

And just one more fun card for the Just Add Ink challenge #787 - Choose Two or More - I've chosen Patterned Paper and Animals.

Thanks for stopping by my blog... have a wonderful day, Cheers Robyn

Twofer Cards today

Haven't dug into my patterned papers too often of late... but I've put together a card featuring

'polka dots' for the Just Add Ink challenge #786.

Combined two green shades of paper and a strip of polka dot embossed card as a background for my stamped, watercoloured and fussy cut flower... finished off with a stamped sentiment strip.

Then I had a play around with my Distress Oxide ink pads  -  swiping the whole pad across the white card - fossilized amber top to bottom, then crushed olive bottom up, followed by peeled paint ---  I like the 'wispy' effect achieved.  Then I used the same inks to swipe card and die cut some foliage and finished with a stamped and clear embossed sentiment.   Joining in the technique challenge over at Group of Cardmakers - Direct to Paper Inking

Thanks for stopping by my blog, have a wonderful day, Cheers Robyn

Just Us Girls - Word Week #823 - Flowers

Just Add Ink challenge 785  - Dies-Stencils or both

Two die cut cards.

It's 'Dies' this week at both Just Add Ink #785 - just add dies-stencils for both

and also week 2 for Darnells IDEAS prompt -'D' = Dies... so I've two cards to share...  Dies do make it easy to make a card.

This one is pretty self explanatory... A large die plate cut in white card and backed with some more of my recycled calendar pages - and a gold circle that just happened to be on my desk, so finished off with matching gold die cut sentiment.

For this card I have used a floral die - die cut in purple and green card then die cut on the front flap of a small square card -  and then inlaid the flowers and trimmed the front to follow the die cut line.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, have a wonderful day
Cheers Robyn

While I'm waiting for inspiration for my next big project, I've made this cute rabbit and four crocheted cuddlies to donate to maternity ward of our local hospital.

At last my first cards for 2026

Well I bet you weren't expecting to see me any time soooooon....   well yesterday I made myself stay away from the garden and not pick up a crochet hook but to try and find my love of card making mojo... it's been absent since mid December - I can't believe this...  I could rave on but I'm just happy to be back.  And I had some fun, and went to my old favorite blogs for some inspiration.

Firstly I started easy with this gorgeous 3D embossed image - lightly sponged with a deeper shade of green Distress Ink to highlight the lovely flower images.  Stay simple I think and not cover over those flowers so I just added a small stamped/diecut Thanks.

And as it's the third week of Darnell's Weekly prompt - 'E' = Embossing - this is perfect.

Next I thought I try this months technique over at

I used purple Distress Ink instead of the blue and a simple no fuss solid stamp featuring tulips for the image and finished with a stamped and silver embossed sentiment.

On a roll ... so I kept going after lunch... and have my first Christmas card for my stash.

And a Never Before Used Stash set made it easy to put together this card... for the NBUS challenge #84

Embossed the snowglobe image which handily included the sentiment and the stamped on the little dear scene and watercoloured it with Distress Inks...  mounted it with a red border to highlight the bow around her neck

And lastly because stamping and watercolouring flowers is the favourite part of my cardmaking I dug out this lovely old PSX Waterlily stamp... thankfully it still works.
Stamped in grey ink and watercoloured with Distress Inks and finished with a stamped silver embossed sentiment.

It features a small dragonfly which I glitzed up with some glitter glue... so I joining in also at
Just Add Ink challenge 781 - Just Add Wings

Thanks for stopping by my blog....  have a most wonderful day,   Cheers Robyn

I made my Thanks card for a lovely lady who this week gifted me this cat teatowel with a crocheted topper... and it is so cool as one of our cats Henry - is a ginger.

And these are some of the smaller crochet projects I've been making lately ... as coasters or to hang at my windows.
