Have a great day...

Me making 'male' cards doesn't happen too often so I do like to join in the challenges at The Male Room - Sports theme this month and at Watercooler Wednesday WWC158 - Masculine, 'Anything Goes.  I water coloured my stamped and embossed image with Brushos and roughly cut it out.  Then I used some foam packaging from a bottle to create my background - dunked my foam in some leftover wet Brushos and swiped onto my back panel... the image had the curve as well so this gave me the line to create the curve... then decided to also cut out the curve, which I mounted along with the skater with foam tape.  I stamped on both sentiments to finish the card.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

Welcome to the neighborhood...

mmmm well this is way different to my usual style but I'm happy with the card.  I quite like these quirky type of stamps but don't own any - this row of houses is a friends stamp I've had in my stash for some time. I added a wash of soft colours and roughly cut them out and then teamed them with a leafy DP and some stamped trees for the back drop and dark green for 'lush' lawns (explanation - we've just had 4 days of welcome rain and everything is fresh and green - amazing how the dead looking lawns spring to life so quickly).  Lastly I just happened to find this NBUS sentiment stamp which fitted perfectly.
I am playing along at Shopping Our Stash #342 - Home Sweet Home and also Just Add Ink - add 'H' - my 'H' is for houses.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend

Happy Mothers' Day

This card has been a work in progress for a few weeks... I stamped, watercoloured and fussy cut my red roses...first, then followed the process of how to use them.  So I decided on a heart in the background - a white die cut heart that I dry embossed with tiny heart EF.  Then I used the die to cut an opening in my front panel, the white heart fitted snug but was a little lost so I smooched the edge with red ink.  The I used foam tape to raise my front panel and adhered the embossed heart to the card through the opening.  I arranged the flowers and used different thickness foam tape attach them.  Lastly I stamped my sentiment and die cut it t suit the size of the words then used the full die to cut a red shape to frame the label.
I am playing along with CAS Watercolour challenge for February - Heart theme.
Stamplorations February challenge - Paint-It-Red.
Also to Power Poppy Power & Spark challenge using the Love theme - because I dearly love my mum and know she'll love this card.

Birthday Wishes

Well my little chargers (grand daughters) have gone home today after a sleepover, and I found a few quiet moments to complete this card, using bits from my stash.  I created my background for this weeks Simon Says Wednesday challenge, with a stencil and masking areas and sponging wet colour using Distress Inks, - then I ran it through the Cuttlebug with my dotty border die and back the area with mauve coloured card - which I think has created a sort of Polka Dot effect for the City Crafters current challenge Week 400.
My layout is loosely following the Freshly Made Sketches #325 - in reverse, replacing the star with my die cut flower and the round sentiment with my rectangle.

Just because...

This morning I have finished a card from the weekend.... using the challenge at Shopping Our Stash - You stamped with what??    and I've used a feather which I inked with DOX and used a roller to get a good image - I flipped it and repeated for two feathers. I stamped on my sentiment, feather and ink well and as the  panel looked really bare I used a script stamp and some inked foam packing sheet (below) to fill in.
I am also posting to Watercooler Wednesday challenge WWC157 - Heidi's All About Occasions...

Joyful Moments

Don't you just think the photo of the kingfisher as this months inspiration at Rubber Dance is wonderful... love those rich colours... so I've used them (orange, turquoise and lime) as my element on this artwork.  I gave my background panel a water wash with Distress Oxides and then used coloured some texture paste and added some foliage with a stencil. I used another stencil and sponged on some 'rings in the water'.  I stamped my image, coloured it and fussy cut then used foam tape to raise him.  To finish I stamped my sentiment and mounted the panel on blue card. My good camera is playing up so my colours aren't true with this little digital.
I am posting to Stamplorations Never Ending Anything Goes challenge too.

Hugs for You

My card today is for the Muse challenge #253 with inspiration from Tracey (below)... I created a water wash background in blue and pink as I liked the two tones on her card... my water splotches didn't work too well.  Then I stamped my bear image, water coloured it with Distress Oxide ink and fussy cut it.  I stamped my 'hugs' sentiment and cut it out and added further sentiment to the back panel, then to finish popped up my image with foam tape.
I am also posting to Daily Markers 30 day Colouring Challenge - I'm a mite behind but we have a few days to add our last posts and Watercooler Wednesday challenge #157 - All Occasions - my sweet bear could be for any occasion.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Red wine....

Since the start of the month I've had this stamp sitting on my desk.. patiently waiting, because I thought it would be ideal for this months CAS Mix Up challenge - use felt, cork or canvas.
So I stamped my image on cream card and watercoloured it with Distress Inks. Then drew my "CORK" on cork sheet (- that's been in my stash for years and not used, yeah at last) and cut it out.  Kept it simple - my elements are Stamping, Watercolour and Cork.    I am also posting to Addicted to Stamps and More - #279 Clean and Simple Challenge.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Flowers feed the Soul

Well here's a little something very different from me today - no colouring  ....instead some paper piecing and use of papers from my huge stash of patterned papers.  Very challenging and fun.
I stamped my peony flower a three times for each one on different papers and fussy cut them, then glued them in place. I also stamped and cut their stems and leave.  I used patterned paper for the background... flowers for a garden and green for the bed.  Then to finish I stamped the sentiment and die cut it with a stitched rectangle and sponged the edge.
