Merry Christmas

At last today I have put together this card that has been a WIP (work in progress) all month.  Before I put  it all together I have the smooched watercolour background a spritz with silver pearl mist and added some stamped and embossed stars. I stamped the sentiment on a torn section of card in blue and embossed in clear.  Then assembled the card with my die cut trees, adding some tiny blue gems for some more sparkle.  I am playing along with Rudolph Days challenge - Anything Goes.

November Rudolph Days Challenge

Thanks Sew Much ATC

Well we're nearing the end of the month and Christmas cards/tags have taken up much of my time so I thought to make an ATC for Happy Little Stampers ATC November challenge SEW.  Found some DP papers and stamps with this theme and decided to use this lady - stamper her on white card, coloured in the umbrella and her flesh part and fussy cut... then stamped again on floral DP for her dress and then on tan for her hat and paper pieced them to the image.  Then stamped my sentiment, some faux stitching, sponged the edges and added a tape measure DP to the bottom, them mounted to my base tan ATC.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Happy Fathers' Day

Joining in today with the Watercooler Wednesday challenge WWC197 - Kath's Masculine "Anything Goes".  From my pre-stamped stash I chose this image of a Holden Ute... reminds me of my grandfather and laying across the back of the seat in the luggage tray...highly illegal now, but we enjoy piling into the cab and going along with him on his rounds of the water wheels.  His was pale blue so I coloured mine with pencils and added silver gel pen for the chrome.  I used some DP for the background and stamped on my two sentiments....making a mess of the top one so re-stamped on a scrap and inked the edge.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Wishes for Your Birthday

With so much Christmas card making going on it was nice today to make a card for a birthday...  I stamped my flowers twice across the bottom of my panel in grey and used Distress Oxides to watercolour them... I love the pink shade and was real happy to find this matching cardstock to use as a background to from the images.  I stamped and silver embossed my sentiment on the pick and assembled the card with a sparkly silver 'Wishes' die cut.  I am playing along with Power Poppy Creative Confetti - a birthday card and also with The Flower Challenge #26 - a Floral card for a Special Occasion.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Water colour Christmas Floral

With Christmas Florals and Greenery as the these at CAS Watercolour November challenge I just had to make a card using my favourite poinsettia stamp.  Stamped the image in grey Versamark and used Distress Inks to water colour it - using soft colouring for the background and foliage and a bit more intense for the flower... I'm really happy with how it turned out. To finish I attached the panel to a white card and used a stitched die cut frame to add depth.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Thanks

A wreath card from me this morning.... created by stamping the same foliage stamp numerous times in two shades of green Distress Oxides in a circle.  The center looked a bit weird so as card makers do I dressed it up with some pine cones, an orange slice and cinnamon sticks, then tucked in a couple of die cut foliage sprigs.  Used a die cut tag to stamp my sentiment and placed in position with some twine and added some highlights to the image with a silvery gel pen.  To finish I used a die to impress a stitched border around my top panel and framed it with some glossy DP onto a white square card.  I am playing along with two Stamploration challenges.... TAGplorations November challenge - All About Thanksgiving and Cutplorations November challenge - Give Thanks.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Sending You Birthday Wishes

This time for the CAS Mix Up November challenge - I used my Embossing Folder to emboss some metallic gold paper which I then cut with a circle die.  Next I swiped Versamark over the raised edges and heat embossed with Cream Embossing Powder.... and decided to use Distress Inks to watercolour the centers of the flowers.... that helped me decided to use a cream background which I embossed with a stitched rectangle die.  I stamped my sentiment in red ink and heat embossed with pearl gold EP. To finish I added a matching strip of card and used foam tapes to attach my circle elements.

Elements - stamping, embossing folder, die cuts, heat embossing

Two Cards featuring a Wreath

This month the theme at Darnell's Twofer Challenge #11 is Wreaths -  and I've made a Christmas card and a Thinking of You card.

First for my Christmas card, I stamped my twig wreath twice with green and brown Distress Ink and added some holly and foliage stamped in Distress Oxides.  Stamped my robin, used pencils to colour the image and fussy cut him out. I added some embossed corners using a metal die and tan mat.  Assembled my card on a red base and to finish added a red die cut sentiment.

For my second card I stamped the wreath twice in Distress Oxides in browns on cream card....framed this with a dark brown layer onto a light brown card.  I stamped my sentiment in brown and embossed with clear EP  and mounted the strip with foam tape.  To finish I added a bow, twine and twisted raffia to the corner of my wreath and decorated it with matching pearls.

Santa

Continuing on from last week at Power Poppy Creative Confetti... I have enjoyed using my coloured pencils again on this stamped Santa image - found it much easier than watercolouring.  I chose some DP in a light grey mauve as a background and a dark purple card... then to join in with this weeks Power Poppy Creative Confetti - Around the Corner... I curved the corners with a rounder and sponged the edges then assembled the card using foam tape on my image.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Happy Birthday

After I stamped this floral image I thought I'd like to use soft colours so chose my pencils to colour it. Then to keep it a CAS card simply stamped the sentiment and embossed with silver EP and layered the panel to a white card.  I am playing along with Watercooler Wednesday challenge WWC19 - Heidi''s "All About Occasions"   and also with Stamplorations CAS Card November challenge - Anything Goes.  And also with Stamplorations Never Ending Anything Goes challenge.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Merry Christmas

I thought I'd try using a die to create my sentiment... so carefully inked the raised areas with blue ink and with my Tan mat in place and white card ready, very carefully placed the die ink side down onthe card, on with my top plate and through the Cuttlebug.. wow it worked - I have in impressed inked sentiment... being in blue I found this reindeer DP in my stash and used it as a background and then stamped my reindeer in blue, embossed with pearl white EP and fussy cut it out - and assembled my card.  I am playing along with Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #318 - Holiday, and Happy Little Stamper November Christmas Challenge.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Happy Birthday

I have a Birthday card today for a special friend and I'm playing along with three challenges...
Stamplorations November Theme and Sketch, Power Poppy Creative Confetti - Just Color, and The Flower Challenge #26 - A Special Occasion.
I stamped my Protea image with grey ink and coloured it with Pencils then trimmed the image panel. Then I die cut a open stitched frame and stamped my sentiment and embossed with silver EP.  I assembled the card elements over a strip of dark red glitter gift wrap ribbon and used foam tape on the sentiment.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.
