Let it Snow

A little snowy scene through a window for my CAS Christmas August challenge card... showcasing GLITTER.   I die cut the window in my card front panel and used two thin strips of card to create the window panes, then backed this with clear cellophane for the glass.  I cut some snowy hills from white glitter card and placed two die cut trees behind.  From green card I die cut some pine branches, added some white Crystal Drops and sprinkled on lots of glitter, same for the trees and arranged these behind the window, added some smudged blue pencil for the sky and attached to a white card.  To finish I stamped and silver embossed the sentiment and added a two layer snowflake die cut  from glittery silver card.  I am also playing along with Happy Little Stampers August Christmas challenge - Anything Goes.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it... happy card making

Merry Christmas

Earlier in the year I was playing around with the Bokeh effect for cards and this piece was a leftover sitting waiting in my stash for just this card.... I saw recently where someone used vellum for the background die cut - so here I used it to layer with  a white die cut Christmas sentiment also from my stash and teamed it up with a extra white layer for a border on the blue panel and a white card.  I am playing along with Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge #352 and Happy Little Stampers May Christmas challenge - using optional circles too.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - have a great weekend.

Merry Little Christmas Tag

Another tag evolved from my stash, this tree just wanting to be fussy cut and silver gel pen adding dots before attaching to the star embossed panel from my stash.  Die cut a tag, stamped my sentiment to the panel and tied on some ribbon.  Then I decided to make it into a card, and found this background in my stash - just the right colour.  I am posting again to Happy Little Stampers March Christmas challenge - option Tags.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping

Christmas Tags

A bit of fun today with mini artworks on tags.... ALL of the elements for both tags came from my stash (except for the mini stamped Christmas).  Added a strip of silver glitter paper to this side of one tag and added my sentiment, a santa hat and ribbons... for the second tag trimmed up the blue background 'experiment', attached a die cut 'Merry' and stamped sentiment, finished off with ribbon ties.  I am playing along with Happy Little Stampers March Christmas challenge - optional Tags.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy stamping

Merry Christmas

I have been having a lot of fun this month with the Bokeh technique... and today I have another card for the CAS Mix Up January challenge.  I went really bold for my Christmas card - using three shades of red Distress Oxide ink to sponge in my background for an ombre effect.  Then using various sized die cut circles as a stencil, I sponged white, dark red and Versamark over-sponged with Brilliant Gold Pearl Ex powdered pigment.  I stamped and gold embossed my sentiment, trimmed my panel and mounted it to white card edged with gold EP, then attached to a white card.  I am also playing along with Happy Little Stampers Christmas January challenge - Anything Goes, and Addicted to Stamps and More #324 - Clean and Simple.
Elements: Bokeh technique, stamping, sponging, stencils, heat embossing, ombre effect
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy card making
ps    I am also going to share this at CAS Stencil January challenge -- Sponging.

Merry Christmas

I thought I'd try using a die to create my sentiment... so carefully inked the raised areas with blue ink and with my Tan mat in place and white card ready, very carefully placed the die ink side down onthe card, on with my top plate and through the Cuttlebug.. wow it worked - I have in impressed inked sentiment... being in blue I found this reindeer DP in my stash and used it as a background and then stamped my reindeer in blue, embossed with pearl white EP and fussy cut it out - and assembled my card.  I am playing along with Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #318 - Holiday, and Happy Little Stamper November Christmas Challenge.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Have a tree-mendous Christmas

While looking through my stash of Christmas elements I found this Christmas tree... die cut from a watercoloured piece ... smooched Distress Ink in greens and yellow and then I'd stamped over this a flourish and gold embossed it. For the background panel I used a snowflake embossing folder and then flicked yellow metallic Twinkling H2Os over it for some extra sparkle.  I inked my sentiment with  a Kaleidacolor pad in yellows and greens and roughly cut around it. To finish I added my elements to a green card and topped my tree with a shiny gold die cut star.  I am playing along with CAS Watercolour September challenge - Tree and also at Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge - Optional Twist - Tree and Addicted to Stamps challenge #166 - Christmas Comes Early.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.
