Joyous Noel

Time for a Christmas card for Maureen's Rudolph Days February challenge....  from my Christmas UFOs stash I found this cutest House Mouse stamped image...already for me to watercolour... I added some gold Magical Micas to the bell and banner and silver glitter gel pen to the 'skates'.....then fussy cut this.  Also from the stash this embossed Christmas background and that was all I needed - attached all to a red card that helps the sentiment banner stand out.

As I've been using the 'stash' I'm going to play along also with Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge #397.
Thanks for popping to check out my blog -   have a Wonderful Creative day, cheers

Joy

The die cut Vines Circle has been on my desk for ages - in that pile where you tried out the new die  - so today I decided to turn it into a Christmas decorated circle... I die cut some foliage - holly, spruce, berries and arranged these in the corner over the swirls ... found this lovely patterned paper in a pad and trimmed to fit a square card... to finish attached all the layers of foliage and topped this with a bright blue glittery "JOY"

Merry Christmas

From my stash I found this embossed white panel and decided to flip it and put white Nuvo Crystal Drops on the dots joining the diamonds.  Then in my stash also was one of the coloured poinsettia flowers - nicely fussy cut but I thought I'd go for two so had to stamp, white embossing and watercolour the second - you'll notice they're slightly different because I couldn't remember the inks I'd used.  I die cut the fancy label and stamped and gold embossed the sentiment, then arranged all the elements with foam tape and a this border of bright pink card.  To finish I added a spray of gold ribbon tucked in behind the flowers and to the flower centres I added a pink sequin with gold micro beads glued in the middle.

Hope Your Day Absolutely Blooms

Hi and how's things at your place....  here's Mr Watson on my knee needing some loving attention while I'm trying to finish off my card

I have lots of UFOs in my stash and pieces that I have stamped  -  like this basket, ready for an inspired moment to finish off.  It's stamped and embossed on old cardstock so I very carefully gave a light brown watercolour to it...then carefully made a slit in the top so I could tuck in the stems and leaves I die cut from various scraps of  inked background.  I used a die to cut a curved frame in white card and and orange card, but first I stamped and clear embossed the sentiment.

Sending All My Love

WHHOOOA - 1st of June.....already
this year seems definitely to be flying by
How do you feel about it?  and do hope life still continues well for you.

Today I have a card using the Just Add Ink sketch  and also bits from my stash...  the patterned paper scrap, the already coloured flower which I fussy cut which I used because the colours seems to match the PP, and the stamped sentiment- already die cut too  ... not too difficult to piece this together with the sketch in mind.
The Protea flower was stamped with Antique linen Distress Ink and coloured with pencils.

Have a Beautiful Day

Enjoying a much cooler, overcast day today with even a light shower which is nice, so hoping it's a lovely day wherever you are in this crazy world....

Saturday I was checking out a few blogs and stopped by my friend Loll's blog where she was sharing her gesso resist card and the next thing you know I'm searching for the gesso and off I go - forgot to even leave her a comment....

I did a few experiments stamping with the gesso and then blending Distress Oxide over the dry gesso... here I used Squeezed lemonade and Twisted citron... then I trimmed the panel, layered it with a white border and larger lime green frame.  I die cut the dandelion and some grass - attached them in place and finished with a stamped sentiment (using the Citron DO) and clear embossed it.
CAS Mix Up elements - gesso resist, ink blending, die cuts, heat embossing, stamping

The second attempt, well it didn't really work at all - the stamping got completely lost... but on reading Cathy's post I was determined to not bin it, then I also decided to not make any new elements and found all these in my stash...

Crazy bird already coloured but missing a foot, flower - coloured and fussy cut, two colourful sprigs, some black die cut leafy swirls, a black die cut circle and to finish the sentiment already die cut too.... whopppie - a fun card for a change.

Thinking of You

A few months back I was having fun experimenting with stencils and creating embossed backgrounds  -- with this one Versamark was applied to the stencil and then used a brayer to transfer the ink to the white card panel, and white embossing powder heat embossed. Then Distress Oxide ink blended over the embossing, and it has been in my desk stash waiting, I really like the soft colours and so today I used it to create a Thinking of You card.

To finish this card I added a fine lilac border and attached to a white card, and added a die cut the sentiment in two shades of purple.

May your life be like a Wildflower....

My card today is made from elements in my stash box...

The alcohol ink background was an experiment I did some time ago using stencils and Nuvo embellishment mousse - I love colours and the creamy mousse worked beautifully with the two different stencils... it has been waiting patiently for me to come up with a design idea.  So I simply trimmed it to fit a square card and then die cut a double stitched panel in white card to frame it and used foam sheet to 'lift' an give dimension.  To finish I added a stamped sentiment on a stitched die cut label.
