Thank You

I'm on a roll today, my mojo is feeling good!!  I have a thank you card for a new challenge group I discovered via a friendly follower - Margaret...and as I'm an Aussie it's wonderful to join in with them. The Southern Girls challenge this fortnight is - Round and Round the Mulberry Bush - include circle embellishments... So I have a pink circle die cut to highlight my Distress Oxide watercoloured image and also a few scattered 'round' sequins. My sentiment is a shadowed die cut.

.Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Round and Round The Mulberry Bush - Team Lou

...incredibly wonderful..

oh my.... I haven't done any  Mixed Media for ages so I'm quite pleased with my card today.  I die cut some flowers from a piece of created with Distress Oxides, sponged the edges, added some more colour to the centers and then glued on some micro beads. Then I die cut some leaves from DOX card and also from some vellum. I found a background panel from my stash with white gesso lightly sponges over it, added some leaves with a stencil and more DOX and stamped on my sentiment.  Arranged my leaves and added a few loops of matching thread before 3D mounting my flowers. To finish I added a scattering of tiny pearls. I am playing along with Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media January challenge - theme Garden, also with The Card Concept #85 - Rustic Blooms - love the inspirational photo - gorgeous flowers, with the aged timber backdrop.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Sprinkle Joy.....

Happy sunny day from my desk this morning .... late yesterday I had an inspiration to make an ATC for the Happy Little Stampers ATC challenge  - Trees.  I painted a little landscape with my Distress Oxides and then stamped on my trees... with repeat stamping using my misti I was able to added different greens for the leaves on the front tree. Added my stamped sentiment and mounted the panel to a green grey card. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

...Morning Coffee!!

Colouring today with my Distress Oxides - day 11 at the Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge.
Feel a bit ragged some mornings myself, so a quiet walk around the garden with my cuppa helps start my day.

I've had this image in my stamped stack for ages and after colouring it in found it matched nicely with the DOX background I made earlier in the week.  Created my own sentiment and printed it before using my 'rough' deckle scissors to trim it to size.  I am also joining in the CFC191 challenge at CAS-UAL Fridays - More Coffee Please!
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Have a Lovely Birthday

Oh my, where has the first month of 2018 gone... before I realized I nearly missed joining in with a couple of my favourite challenges.... CAS Mix Up - Using Cling Wrap (also watercolouring, die cut and heat embossing), CAS Watercolour - Birthday theme and one for the 30 Day Colouring Challenge at Daily Marker, day 9.
I used two shades of green Distress Oxides with lots of water for my 'cling wrap' background.  Then stamped, watercoloured with Brushos and cut out my sweet pea image.  I stamped and silver embossed my sentiment and decided to use a stitched die cut frame.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Colouring - day 8

Well this morning I had a plan to continue with my garden clean up especially as it rained overnight and so the day was nice and cool and digging easier..... mmm so I got my cuppa and made the mistake of drinking it at my desk and one thought lead to another and I remembered a beautiful colouring book a friend gave me (below), so of course it was easy to select a card and a few colours and before you know it I've started...
I made myself STOP...
and out into the garden I went and spent a successful few hours,
so I could happily spend my afternoon relaxing with my pencils.

My completed card with images on the back and inside.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Colouring - day 7

Yesterday I started another page in my colouring calendar... for day 7 at Daily Markers 30 Day Colouring Challenge..  parts of the page are already coloured... so this one just had the pink in the centers of the flowers and the background. I'm using my old Derwent pencils a lot lately.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Colouring - day 5 and 6

Another page in my calendar to colour -- with pencils - it was a jumble of images before I started and the challenge was to make each stand out.  This is for day 5 and 6 of the Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Create.....

Well I have found some time for colouring and stamping this weekend - in between cooking up heaps of bananas ... muffins, loaves and slices, also two lots in the dehydrator.
Here I have a small artwork using the colour palette at Rubber Dance Stamp challenge for January - I was also able to make it a bit 'Vintage' for the theme.  I water washed the background in DOX and stamped the images in Distress Ink and Distress Oxides... Then added my Sentiment in DOX and finished with a handmade paper flower.  I am also posting to Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Add a Sentiment. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.
